1  Economy / Trading Discussion / bitcoin exchanges on: June 02, 2013, 08:36:01 PM
Hi!

I am very interested in trading bitcoin denominated assets, like on exchanges such as: http://www.havelockinvestments.com - are there any other large exchanges that anyone is aware of that work well?

Thank you!

the fact that you cannot cash out early is an inhibitor for pyramining to gain what it really could in its market. There should be a service that allows users to trade in btc for pyramining power at below the market rate. It would be worth it to pyramining in general (they would profit from the differential) and help create more demand for pyramining itself.

Hi, I only have a few bitcoins in pyramining, and would like to get a refund. How do I go about doing that?

Thank you.

I am a seasoned trader in the commodity and FX markets. You will not be able to time it perfectly. You can time it a bit, but you need to know what you are doing and understand the dynamics of what is going on. I suggest you just buy it if you want to hold long-term. The economics of bitcoin suggests a move way above $60. I think bitcoin could easily sail past $200.

agreed, people in the US are really do think about currencies, think adoption in the US will be slow relative to the main population.

Definitely think there will be a need for a Mt. Gox given the culture and mentality of bitcoin users. It will need to operate in a place that is well known for privacy, such as Singapore, the Cayman Islands, or Bermuda.

bitcoin is going up big time. I am a seasoned trader/economist. As visibility and transparency increases, so will bitcoin's price. I also think enhanced regulation will increase movement away from exchanges, so in a sense there will be an above ground bitcoin market, and a below ground market.

I am interested in bringing my background of trading, portfolio management, research, and consulting to bitcoin. I successfully developed a water index for listing on a commodity exchange. I also have a technical background, and I am highly interested in business ideas. Let me know if anyone has any interest in doing something.

I think the new regulation will help adoption of bitcoin, and hence all users of bitcoin. By increasing regulation, it becomes more visible and more demand for bitcoin will result in higher bitcoin prices.
