Manual Claims have not yet been counted, but so far only make up a few more %, will be processed this week.

We will adjust the goal to 50 Ti. With this minimum I am confident that we can squeeze the main and necessary goals out of the negotiations, but time is ticking very fast. For all those who have not yet donated I got one question, are you really willing to risk 2-5-10x increase by refusing to part with 0.02 or 0.010x of your stake? Honestly? I would love to chat with such an individual just to get insight into what sort of fascinating pattern of thinking gave rise to that decision.

In all seriousness. 50 Ti is nothing, we as a community should be able to achieve this. This event is something we'd have 4 premium speaking spots spread out over 4 days at if this Big Deal had gone through already. There are several more of these events and equally important things on line, are we as a community going to let it go to waste over ~2% of the collective stake?

If that was imperative you should hve put it at higher priority than foundation funding OR you should have put foundation funds toward making it happen and recoup them through further donation.

Guys. Seriously. Can you all just block the trolls and stop responding to them. They lower the quality of discussion and you lower it even more by engaging and quoting them. Not only that, but you waste everybody's time by making them read troll nonsense twice. So far I have had to block several regular users because all they do is quote trolls. The best thing you can do to help a troll is give them attention. You legitimise their nonsense by doing it, so stop!

During the ICO, IOTA was being purchased at 1,070,663 IOTA / BTC (1btc / 934btc raised)
Now current rates are 55Gi/btc or the amount of 24,127 IOTA / BTC old (55,000,000,000 / 2,779,531)

.00000093 ICO price
.00004144 Current trade price

Is my math correct? If so, WTF.

Your math is wrong. The original calculation is based on total coins on 1 Billion, whereas current coins are 2779.53 Trillion. Everyone's investment was increased proportionally when existing coins changed from 1B to 2779.53T. Also, the original amount invested in ICO was 1337 btc. You have many mistakes in your calculation. The biggest one is assuming that any of this means anything relative to current value.

Let me ask this, it sounds obvious, but the answer may surprise us. Will the foundation release the identity of the big dealer after the goal reached??? What if they are not "big" enough, or....

Compared to ethereum...
1. I don't think eth is successful in Asia, especially China.
2. If you consider eth is successful in Asia for some reasons, I dont see one or two parties can be considered key players, except the dev team. Anyone else have some candidate?

I start worrying that David might be scammed or bluffed by the so called "big player(s)". Exchange like btc38, 796, yunbi, yuanbaohui? Or OKcoin, Huobi? I trust David's judgement, but you know, he can't hear any feedback because of NDA, nobody here can know who they are. And he might, just might, make mistakes in a critical position that want to make IOTA successful.

Very well articulated. This is a legitimate and pressing concern, among other current developments.

IOTA Big Deal donations will be considered that, donations (to foundation), because the labour involved in resolving those that donate and those that don't is too great.

If anyone has an issue with this and want their iotas back, speak now. The deal is not about ROI anyway, only about the big deal happening for IOTA's ecosystem

When and why did this change from a favored rate sale to a donation?

It's still a sale, but all proceeds go to foundation. The reason is quite simple: we don't have time time to differentiate 10s or hundreds of different people's requests, what rate they want to sell at, which want to forward to foundation and not etc. would take weeks

Sounds like a detailed writeup regarding the specifics of this deal is soon needed (respecting NDA's or whatever), imo. Frankly it is clear as mud and to expecting another 83 Tiota, within a week no less, that will need to be resolved hastily.

No need for so much animosity. A simple short reply like "Actually, we really need 100%." would be much more productive.

The OP's comment was misleading and in direct opposition to what David has been saying for months.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA :: Buying / Selling on: July 18, 2016, 01:28:55 PM
I think there is no buyer for IOTA
All post i see only selling, i am too selling my IOTA but no one offer it even one message ask for price

I have 300 Giota
To people wanna buy you can send me offer
Negotiable price

At this point everybody is likely waiting for exchanges. Bitcointalk OTC trading isn't anywhere near an efficient market, so it's a bit hasty to conclude no one is buying. Have patience and wait for exchanges friend.

I find this coin has SUPER COOL feature, which may be amazing in the future.    Shocked Shocked Shocked

Is about 1100 btc raised in the ICO? And 200 Billion tokens will be trading?   Shocked

1337 BTC from ICO (This was nearly 8 months ago and IOTA was in a highly alpha experimental stage, so I suggest not to make any assumptions about current valuation based on this metric. IOTA is light years ahead now.)

2779.53 Tiota (That's 2779.53 Trillion, or 2.77953 Quadrillion.)
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: July 14, 2016, 09:00:25 PM
I currently have 3 Tiota available for sale. I will be available to complete OTC trades no sooner than 19/20th. PM me if interested.

Wow! things are heating up around here. Seems some would-be buyers are getting desperate and resorting to every troll trick in the book.

I suggest each person use simple common sense and due diligence. Buyers only pay what they think iota is worth and sellers only sell for what they think iota is worth. We will all meet at the right place.

Meanwhile, be sure to ignore anyone acting on the extremes of either side as they are likely trolling in an attempt to pressure and influence you into making a poor decision. This means anyone insisting Iota is a scam without any meaningful substantiation or anyone making offers that seem to good to be true. Both should both be ignored with prejudice.

Safe trading everybody.

Wasn't 1 sec transactions part of the spec at the beginning?

No.

..... you are the iota developer, but I could swear there was something about very fast transaction confirmation claimed by you guys back in Dec. What changed since then?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: July 10, 2016, 03:54:17 AM
Quote
Blah blah, bunch of trolling about how iota is worth crap right now...

BTW, WTB 100GI for 0.25 BTC.

Just priceless.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: July 10, 2016, 12:10:57 AM
instant transaction

This one is not true.

Wasn't 1 sec transactions part of the spec at the beginning?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: July 09, 2016, 09:28:02 PM
Yeah, I very much doubt iota will double dip down to that kind of price... you'll be lucky to see a bottom anywhere near the top prices offered here imo.

No way I'd sell anything under 1.5btc per 100Gi and even that seems crazy really. I'm not selling any through here because I believe the price will be a lot higher as soon as it hits exchanges. Demand has built up and remained unsatisfied for over 6 months, the tech is game-changing and the timing is perfect. GL finding your weak hands or exchange crash... this will go straight to $10m+ market cap imo, then build quickly from there.

Is there demand? Yes. Does the demand cover 500% of the initial ico price? Probably... Does the demand cover 1000% of the initial ICO price? Maybe... Does the demand cover 2600% of the initial ICO price? Absolutely not. People who bought 100GigIota for 1.5 BTC via OTC just didnt pay attention to the actual market situation. I agree that there is demand for this coin but the numbers you are asking are insane. You are lucky because most people are too lazy to crunch the numbers and get all hyped up by the prices of the few OTC sellers.

Once all coins are ready to be distributed to the exchanges the price will reflect the actual market cap which will be enormous but not as god like as you guys like it to be...

Give it a few months and your asks might align with the market cap.

Just try to remember this is your subjective opinion and you haven't given any solid objective reasons why it shouldn't be valuated above... by what you seem to be saying, $8.5MM USD...

No definitely. Why would a feeless, bloatless, instant transaction, truly decentralized POW cryptocurrency designed to drive the economy of things (but which also has potential to do so much more) be worth more than $8.5MM USD....

The entertainment from the trolls around here is never ending.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: July 02, 2016, 02:16:13 PM
How much donated to foundation ?

Officially, 50% of the required 5% total.

Actually we don't know because it has not been counted. It was for certain 50% over a week ago, but many additional holders have stated that they made donations during claiming. We will see the updated numbers released soon.
