APOLOGIES TO ALL!

I'm truly busy earlier because it is my sister's bday so we had some gathering and tonight (it's night time here) I have many tasks I need to attend to that's why I just got online more than an hour ago. I returned the fund to the rightful owner. I'm really the owner of this old account. I came back here in this forum because I really need to have an additional income because I'm a breadwinner and my uncle was hospitalized and he has no family so I wanted to help him and I remember this forum because few years ago, it is one of my sources of income. Anyways, I'm glad that everything's okay now. Have a good day/night to all!
Welcome back, man!
I guess that there's not that much changes from when you've stopped and as you came back now, you're pretty much familiar with things around the forum and with all of those stuffs that includes campaigns and etc. I wish that your uncle a speedy recovery and you're a good guy that helps out a relative that doesn't have someone on their back but you. Also, belated happy birthday to your sister.  Wink
Wish all of you the best.

Thank you, bro! I will spend more time to familiarize with the changes and improvements here in the forum.

I'm glad it all ended well. What I would recommend to the OP is that apart from being more active in the forum by contributing constructively if he wants to participate in signature campaigns, he should learn once and for all not to reuse the same bitcoin address, let alone hundreds of times. Although I imagine that would be the subject of another thread.

This is noted! Thank you very much! As for the bitcoin address, I think I'll just use that again since that is the only bitcoin address I have and I don't want to create a new one. I'm more into Ethereum than Bitcoin that's why it's my only BTC address but I appreciate your feedback.

I came back here on Bitcointalk from a very long hiatus due to personal reasons. I wanted to start offering again my services such as participating in signature campaigns but I don't know where to start. Can some tell me what are the current qualifications to join some campaign and how/where to get them? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Welcome back mate.
1. You need a lot more than 5 merits. The competition is fierce as there are users with 200+ merits who would easily be accepted into a campaign.
2. Post quality is determined by the Campaign manager...just don't spam or make one liner meaningless posts. Avoid mega threads or threads that has past the 5th page recently one of the managers- icopress pointed that out.

3. One of the managers introduced what is called green zone. According to him, it is for prominent members of the forum, whatever that means. The perk of being a greenzone member is that you are paid higher for doing than other members in the campaign.

Ooh, your 3rd advice is new to me. Thank you for that. I'll work harder this time. Appreciated!

First of all welcome back to the forum. Since you have been away from the forum for a long time, it will be challenging for you to work on a signature campaign in the beginning. Working on a signature campaign requires a certain number of merits in the first four months which you don't currently have. Bro right now you should collect merit first. You must post good quality to collect merit. Since your account has been inactive for a long time, you should post regularly in the forum. If you give good regular time to this forum for a month then I think after a month you will get a chance to work on one of the signature campaigns.

Yes, brother. I will do that because I really wanted to join a campaign again. thank you for your reminder.

Post good and have merits first

Put service board on notification and check it from time to time.

Campaign managers required at least accounts that wants to apply for a campaign should have at least 5 mertis in the last 120 days. But there are many people competing for campaigns these time. Campaign managers may open slot or come up with a new campaign but choose people with the highest merits.

I see. Thank you, brother. I'll try to improve and increase my merit first. Appreciated your response.

9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is better than Holding on: April 27, 2020, 09:58:38 AM
I Feel like sharing my opinion and I would like it if anyone can convince me enough

So, let me say I've been trading or started trading for a while now but I still count my self as an Armature Trader so far. Why?
Because I've never made a good profit so far and whenever I make one, I end up at loss later.
But with all these, I still believe in trading than holding my crypto assets because I know with time, when I get to understand how it works and go very well, I can keep making my profit and will never loss more than expectation.

Reason why I said all these is because I hold some crypto assets a while ago because I believe in them and thinking they are going to be like top 100 in the market within years. But I was wrong.
I wish I have been trading since then and probably, I would have gain more or earn more because I hardly loss even as armature as I am.
Many people hodl but I think trading is more preferable.

So Maybe I am right which I think I am but still looking forward to others opinion or advice.

I think the title is kinda misleading. I'm also not a pro when it comes to trading but I just want to share some of what I've learnt through continously trying it.

Which is better, trading or holding? It depends on your goal. If you want to maximize your capital in short term, I recommend that you do trading. If your goal is for long term, holding is more ideal. Butif you will do trading, mjist make sure that you are ready. What I mean with being ready is that you are properly equipped with knowledge. For holding, make sure that you also know what you are buying. Buy crypto whose already proven its worth. Sometimes, being on the top 10 is not an assurance to hold a coin. I suggest that you focus on Bitcoin and Ethereum for holding.

I'm still a work in progress, also striving for more learnings abiut cryptocurrency. I hipe that this is somehow helpful. Good luck and God bless us more!
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Comeback is real. on: April 19, 2020, 03:45:08 AM
Hello! I hope that we're all safe and healthy during this pandemic. I'm praying for our world to heal, to our frontliners to be stronger and safer, and to our family and friends to recover from sufferings.

Few years ago I'm into cryptocurrency. I can't say that I'm a trader but ehat I did back then was buying some coins which are in the top 10 list on a low price and selling them once the price increases. I got busy due to my job so I had no time to do it. Now, I wanted to get back into the crypto industry and this time, I wanted to be serious with trading and other related stuffs.

I just want to ask for some advice from the experts here in the industry. First, do I need to study different technical analysis? Will it be helpful once I'm into trading cryptocurrency? Second, do you know some famous crypto fanatics whose giving some good tips about crypto trading which I can follow and learn from? Lastly, what do you think are the good coins now to look forward to. I can see on the chart that there are lots of new coins in the top compared to what I knew way back few years ago.

Every advise and tips will be highly appreciated. No hates please. Stay safe and healthy to all! God bless us more!
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin hit a new low since 2018 on: October 25, 2019, 02:51:49 PM
Now some people on the Internet predict that bitcoin will hit a new low since 2018. Is this someone harvesting leeks and alarmist? Historically, there seems to be a similar voice every time prices fall. Our retail investors are reduced to leeks every time.

Ho I wish so that I can buy on the lowest price this year. I still believe in Bitcoin and if ever the price will go that low, there's no other way but up. I'm confident that it will recover and will make another all time high price in the future.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statement against people who say Bitcoin is a Scam on: October 23, 2019, 04:03:30 PM
I always find people who think that Bitcoin or cryptocurrency assets are busting money and sometimes there are people who always assume that investing in bitcoin is fraught with hacker risk.
on the other hand I cannot assume that their opinions are wrong, but on the other hand I cannot justify their statements.
I always think that people who have opinions like that are people who don't really know about blockchain technology, or they just read from one of the articles that happens to provide news about a "dark" case in bitcoin, so they often assume that bitcoin is a range against hackers and scam.

what do you think about finding people like that and how will you react to them?

What others are saying shouldn't matter. What should matter is what you believe in. Just like in religion. Many are claiming that they are the children of God but no one wants to go first to be with their God. Lol. Each of us have different beliefs and we need to respect each other. If they don't believe in Bitcoin, so be it. As long as you have faith on it, that is important.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you can have a dinner with Mr Satoshi on: October 18, 2019, 04:25:16 AM
If I will be given a chance to have a dinner with Mr. Satoshi, I will express my genuine gratitude to him by providing him the best dinner experience. I will cook him my best recipe and will make a collection of thank you messages from different people who's given the opportunity to change their lives because of Mr. Satoshi's achievements, the Bitcoin! I will be forever grateful for that opportunity and K will tell him my plans on how to give back to others from the blessings which I received. I want to be a channel of blessings for those who are in need.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Stress and Happiness on: October 15, 2019, 04:44:22 PM

In my almost four years of getting involved (just an ordinary holder and part-time trader, nothing so great actually), I am so sure that Bitcoin can be a major source of stress especially if you bought them at a higher price and then the price made some slide. Now, I am not saying that it is Bitcoin's fault because stress in the first place depends a lot on our perception and how we are managing it. But definitely, we can categorize as a stressor at some degree.

On the other hand, Bitcoin can also be the source of "happiness" especially when the coin is having a great time jumping upwards. Certainly, there can be euphoria if in 2020 Bitcoin can go higher that its 2017 ATH. Bitcoin is known for extreme volatility and it can go from one side to the other in matter of hours and days.

No wonder that Steve Wozniak the Apple co-founder sold his bitcoin because riding the roller coaster stressed him out.

How do you manage any possible stress coming from Bitcoin's volatility?

This situation is also applicable to any type of investments and not just on Bitcoin. If you see tat your investment or business is progressing, definitely you'll feel happy and you'll feel stress if it is losing. How to manage any possible stress coming from Bitcoin's volatility? Simply avoid looking at the chart! If you truly believe in Bitcoin, you know that it has the potential to be the world currency and major subject in the finance industry. Just hold you Bitcoin and wait for few more years. By that time. you'll thank yourself for buying it earlier than the majority.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Loan to buy Bitcoin? on: October 15, 2019, 04:16:06 PM
I'm buying ~500$ in Bitcoin every month with part of my salary. I have a stable job and my company is doing good. I'm wondering if it worth to take 20.000$ to buy 2 BTC now and pay the 500$ as loan installment instead of buying sats every month. I believe in the potential of Bitcoin to reach 50k in a couple years, but it wouldn't be possible to buy near half of BTC at the 500$ rate, so this would be something like an "advance". Hypothetically (but still possible in some probability), if BTC collapses and never recover from 8k, I would still be paying this loan for about 3 years but wouldn't starve or something like that, it would just sux for a while, since I still have another source of income. I know it's not the place to ask I will do whatever I think it's best, but if you were in my position, would you do it?
Buying bitcoin using loaned money is risky, Investment should be done by your extra penny and not by using loan. You are only giving yourself a big problem in the future. 20,000$ is a huge amount, if you have invested it in bitcoin, you have no assurance when it will increase. Think of the possible things to happen before taking the risk.

I agree with this! Do not get a loan just to buy Bitcoin. Bitcoin has a huge potential but there's no guarantee when it will boom. We are on the early adapters stage. What if it will take more couple of years for cryptocurrency to be acknowledge worldwide? By that time, the interests on your loan will be sky high. $500 every month, if you do it consistently, is already a good strategy. You only need to know when is the best time to buy.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: October 15, 2019, 06:52:07 AM
The traditional norms made us believe that savings are a safe option to store your wealth.
But is it true now?
With inflation, we all know that the prices of the wealth we have kept in our savings account will decrease. What is the use of saving when ultimately we are not even able to enjoy what we have been saving for years?
The smarter option?
Investment! Investment is not gambling if done rightly. Very often we see people not putting too much effort into learning and jumping into FOMO. They don’t have enough guidance that will help them to invest better.

I agree! Don't save just to save. Save to invest! If you want your money to grow, saving it is not the right thing, investing is. Savings are are not exempted from inflation. In our country, inflation is averaging at 5% per annum while interests from bank savings are just 0.25%. If you will just save your money, it will not beat inflation. I have nothing against banks but if you're looking for a good way to grow your money, it is not advisable. Save your money in the banks only for the purpose of emergency funds or immediate funds. If your looking for capital growth, invest your money.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Today's price drop on: September 25, 2019, 04:13:19 AM
Hello,

I've been shocked by the drop of ETH price today. So,I checked CMC and found that all coins dropped. I don't know what happened or why.

So, what happened today? Is this related to some news? where can I follow this kind of stuff?

Thnx

The coins are all on sale. Grab this opportunity now. This might be the last coin sale for this year. I think something huge is coming and it is a very positive news. Let's just wait a little bit and in the meantime, add more coins in your portfolios. Just be positive and trust crypto.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: September 16, 2019, 03:41:09 PM
I got the 2BTC from a business deal around January this year. I knew that Bitcoin was going to bump anytime soon but still went ahead to sell at $3,000+ each. Why did I sell at such a ridiculously low rate when I could have gotten x3 of the value if I waited for few more months?

I was away in Dubai for work while my family were staying back home in my country. They were 100% dependent on me for food and sustenance. Allowing the BTC to sit in my wallet while my family suffers was not an option. So, I decided to sell and solve my immediate problems, to feed and cater for them. Did I make the wrong or right decision?

Well, no doubt I would have gotten $20,000+ if I retained the coin till now, but what if my family died of hunger? Money is as good as the problem it's able to solve. That's the lesson I want everyone to learn this. Very too often, I see people advising not to sell your Bitcoin, that you will gain more if you hold on and sell at later times. While that may be true, you still need to understand that Bitcoin is supposed to be money, not investment asset. It is meant to be spent on daily basis, to solve problems, and to be in constant circulation.

The idea of hoarding Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, waiting to sell at later times for higher returns is the reason Crypto is slow to adoption in mainstream transactions. Anyone who gets it try to hold on to it, as long as possible, thereby depriving the market the needed circulation to keep the currency viable and acceptable.

I once heard of a man who had Bitcoin and was sick. People advised him to sell and get the needed cure but he decided to endure the sickness and wait until the price goes up. He died of the illness and the Bitcoin was rendered useless, with no one having access to it.

Have you ever sold your BTC at low rate and it later bumped and you were regretting...?

Just understand that there is hardly a better time to sell your Bitcoin. Anytime you sell (at any amount) is a better time, provided you use the money wisely.

I'm a breadwinner also and I know where you're coming from. 1st quarter of 2018, I have more than $20,000 worth of coins. My grandmother got sick and my auntie lost most of her savings due to a failed business. They are the ones who raised me and my siblings when I was young because my mother had a mental sickness and my father is one of those what I called "SPERM DONOR". As a sign of indebtedness to my auntie and grandmother, I decided to sell my coins eventhough I knew that it can reach a higher value in the future. For some people, they might think that it was a wrong decision but for people like us, it was one of the best decisions we ever made. There is nothng more happier for us breadwinner for the joy and satisfaction that we can provide for our family and loved ones. We can always gain money but feeling that we provide happiness to our family is priceless. I salute you for what you did!

Kuddos for your effort in making this list. I want to suggest that you remove on the list those bitcoin related companies such as Betcoin(dot)ag becacuse obviously, they will accept Bitcoin. Focus on those companies which are not related to Bitcoin. Good luck on improving your list! More power!

Bitcoin Scammer Stealing $63 Million Brutally Tortured and Murdered by Business Partners...

I read a story like this and simply don't know what to say or think.

How about you guys?

I know what it feels if someone you trusted betrayed you and took away everything from you but we shouldn't put the law in our hands. They should have not killed them because sometime in their life they became friends or if not, atleast partners. It is a sin in the eyes of God to kill people. They should have let the police to took care of the matter. Because of the killing, they just made their life more miserable. I'm praying for them to reflect on what they did and I hope that they will reciver from it very soon.
