1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 reports trouble reading PIC temperature's on: February 28, 2018, 06:31:39 PM
Yes i tried some like blisz and others but really not useful.
I do not need reboot feature. Why you need this ? It never stops.
The only useful thing would be if temp goes over 100 just shutdown miner.
This will help.
Now i have approx 15-16Ghz stable.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 reports trouble reading PIC temperature's on: February 27, 2018, 09:42:55 AM
I have 2.
One is at 3 x 60 asics mining 456Mhz, fan 30% i use also to make warm in my kitchen.
Other one 2 x 60 asics and one is 54 asics. Mining at 450Mhz, fan 30%. Have some errors but its okay at the pool.
Second one if i put to 456Mhz i loose 1 whole board and only 2 x 60 asics.
I think 450/456 is the sweet point without troubles.
All have temperatures around 80-83 degrees. This way working from over 60 days without stop.
Sometimes i move between nicehash and dash pools.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 reports trouble reading PIC temperature's on: February 26, 2018, 10:47:34 PM
Yes.
One of my asics has 54 cpus only and makes much errors.
But it really does not matter so much.
Do not stop/start your D3 miner , you loose money with this.
Much more !
Just put to 450/456MHz put fan to 30-35% and forget it.
Yeah thats it Smiley
Working from 2 months non stop.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 reports trouble reading PIC temperature's on: February 16, 2018, 09:37:36 PM
Just put to 450Mhz and 30% fan and forget it.
That's how it works for months.
And taking only 840W
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CPU Mining 2018? ??? on: February 01, 2018, 01:43:53 PM
Why cpu mine and earn nothing when you can just gpu mine with greater power.

Because you have only CPU Smiley

Anyone have fix for high rpm fans when there is no internet or connection to pool is lost ?
All the rest is working good.
Maybe and separate option for each board to control voltage and some kind of high temp protection.
So if it goes over 100% just to stop cgminer.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 reports trouble reading PIC temperature's on: January 19, 2018, 09:29:12 AM
Yes very good !
I do not care too if at least one sensor is okay.
The only problem is this high rpm sound over 5-6000.
Anyone tried any options in cgminer.conf to stop RPM if you do not
have internet for example ?

So do you have any success in decompiling cgminer and how ?

Desolutionary - give more information about that version. You can PM me. I am using beta 2
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 Blissz firmware (10/12 v1.12 update) on: January 16, 2018, 05:59:54 PM
I would like to see the code too but will still use the binary version from you.
I just do not have time and proper knowledge how to build by myself.
But i think you should supply version with 24 hours 15 minutes dev pool as i suggested before.
Thanks for your efforts and i would be happy to see the code.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 Blissz firmware (10/12 v1.12 update) on: January 15, 2018, 09:37:46 PM
I also have one asic with 55 not 60. Sometimes it goes to 57 or 54. Also i have a lot of HW errros like 50 per second. But i know that it does not matter too much. I can see actually at the pool what's going on. So i suggest you check the pool for hashrate.
Some HW errors are not a problem. One of my boards is going to die but i will keep until it stops totally. Then i am going to change capacitors at the last row. I think they may be the problem for not supplying steady voltage.

stangerm2 - allow private messages if you do not mind.
I think one time dev fee is okay or at least it should be on 24 hours
so you do not stop each 2 hours loosing speed.
Anyway publishing the code and be honest is perfectly fine too.
At least this is what i think.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 Blissz firmware (10/12 v1.12 update) on: January 15, 2018, 06:03:49 PM
Blissz - You are breaking the law, cgminer is 'GNU General Public License' program. Turning it into one for your own profit and not pushing it back to ckolivas or opening it up on github is illegal under the copyright. I understand you worked hard on it and did a great job. I get that you want to be compensated and you can still have a dev fee for you pre-built binary but you CAN'T keep ignoring the licence by having the source code closed. You need to push your code back up or openly host it. You don't have to take your mining fee out and you don't have to provide building instructions but you need to honor the open source license or I'm going to do it for you. No one here is going to know how to cross compile it and then build it back into initramfs. They can barely setup there miners in the first place. Since you've always ignored me I'm going to make this super clear now. Do the right thing, push your code, or I will re-release all your Firmware, without the miner fee. IE. by injecting assembly branching operations into the compiled cgminer where the switch_pools functions execute we can skip any pool greater than 2. You have a week and them I'm going to post my Blissz modded version just like you did to Bitmain(at least there code is hosted though).... I really wish you could have just done the right thing to start with.

Bump 6 days Blissz

Sounds really fair play. At least one time fee or one time per 24 hours is good ebough i think. Also nobody can compile this alone.

(forgive my english, I use a translator)
I've been following this topic for a long time, since I have 2 pieces of D3.
Yesterday I decided to try this firmware, and I would like to share the result and maybe get help.
I sat almost all day to set up one of my D3 on this firmware. I wanted to get the best performance, since noise for me is not important.
(on all my devices fans are set to 85% in manual mode)

Factory firmware on two D3 is set to 475Mgts - while it consumes 1050W and produces an average of 17 GH/S, and the total number of errors from all boards = about 20-40 per day.

At first I tried the beta firmware.
I tried to configure everything manually, without the use of automatic settings. Within 5 hours I was not able to achieve the work of D3 without a lot of errors, even at a speed of 18.5 GH/S.
Because of the constant reset of the number of errors, it is difficult to understand how stable the device works.
View error statistics, you can use the Awesome Miner.

With the firmware version 1.12, everything turned out better, but the final result is not very happy.
After a long search of the frequency and voltage settings for each card separately, the best I've got are:
1 boards - 487 MHz - voltage 14 (this is the worst of the boards for quality)
2 boards - 531Mhz - voltage 15
3 boards - 531MHz - voltage 13 (this is the best board for quality)
At the same time, the production rate was about 19.2 GH/S
But the number of errors is about 2 per minute or even more.

I want to ask the developer why it happens, if you restart the mining (or reboot completely), without changing the settings, just click "save&apply"(or reboot), every time after this, the number of errors is DIFFERENT!
I tried so several times, and the number of errors was from 1 per minute to 10-15 per minute! With absolutely unchanged settings!

Can someone tell me what my mistake is?
Why can not I configure the higher performance on this firmware?
Or this firmware will not help me achieve better performance without errors - compared with the firmware?
Will it only reduce the consumption of power and noise at the same performance?

Here is the result of which I achieved:
http://picua.org/img/2018-01/09/grpcd0o7oi6a7mcebi1rv4rh1.png

This firmware is to reduce noise and power.
I do not pay attention to errors too much and i still have good hash rate.
I am doing around 50 per second on of my board. It seems to have some problems
and lowering voltage/freq does not really help. I just left it working with 55 asics
and i have hashrate on the websites although these errors.
I think it is from some of the capacitors and i will change when it goes really really
bad. I am using beta 2.05 version. Just used autotune for 20-30 minutes.
Then i put the best values and forget for my miners Smiley
Playing everyday with it just lowers your revenue...

Obagam these spikes are because each 2 hours we have dev fee switching. I proposed solution. Option checkbox to mine
the whole devfee at the start for 24 hours.
It was originally done at the start, it was changed because everyone hated it and wanted the 2hr thing instead.

I meant devfee for the whole day  ! You got me wrong.
My idea is start miner then it starts devfee pool for 30 minutes, then switches to my pools for 23 hours and 30 minutes.
Even starting the whole devfee after 2 hours is okay too. Like D3 starts working 2 hours then mine 30 minutes for devfee then
no interruptions in the next 23 hours and 30 minutes.....
My pools are perfectly fine. No interruptions at all. I dig on my own pool Smiley

the whole devfee at the start for 24 hours. This way blissz will take his part and we will have stable hashing on a good pool.
I already setup the best of my miner and they are running without stop. I just forgot them for days.....

"Would it be possible to point only one hash board at the dev pool instead of redirecting the whole miner? Every time dev fee drops connection to my pool then reconnects the hash rate doesn't register properly"
Yes this is a problem for me too ! Sometimes it takes another minute or two until we have proper work.
I think its better to mine the dev fee for the whole day at once or at least we have an option for that.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 Blissz firmware (10/12 v1.12 update) on: January 02, 2018, 10:56:29 PM
One suggestion for the firmware.
Button/checkbox/timer something where i can tell mine 30 minutes or so for your now and then mine the rest of the
day for me without interrupting mining process.
Now its really bad for you and for me.
Each 2 hours it stops and mine for you. During this time you and me loose time until machine gets
fast new work.
So my suggestion is for an option to start mine for your part your minutes for 24 hours and then mine all the rest for
me. No stops until the next day.
May be some will have better suggestions ?

Start with 444 freq and voltage 5. If HW errors raise  the voltage until you see 1-2 per minute.
Do the same for all 3 asics.
Of course Fan Silet and 25%
