1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain is releasing a 815GH/s Blake(2b) miner called the AntMiner A3 on: January 20, 2018, 01:00:31 PM
My payment wasn't confirmed for a bit but then came through, just give it a bit and if everything went through fine it will update.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 20, 2018, 12:59:41 PM
Yeah I got my tracking no too, looking like Wednesday 24th for UK delivery.

Dude... AI themed project on NEO? Shocked Been meaning to get into an AI based project considering how much blockchain tech can add value to the industry. Bounty looks sweet too.

Good shit.

That sounds right. Have you checked everything here:

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3+: HW errors... on: October 05, 2017, 06:45:14 PM
You could check the output voltage of the power supply. If it is under the specific voltage (12V) it will look like you going to get more HW errors.
The number of HW errors is not important. It's the percentage.
0.1% is a very acceptable HW Error percentage for a Bitmain AntMiner's

Also in addition to above buddy. One board has 160 HW errors and the rest have like 1-10 in 5 hours running - that sound suspect or all ok? Smiley Thanks!

Ok cool thanks, and am I right in saying the nonce % number in the dashboard, is that the percentage you just mentioned?

If no-one posts here dude i'll update you if I can find some info elsewhere. Cheers
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Antminer L3+: HW errors... on: October 05, 2017, 01:27:31 PM
I've seen different people say different things about HW errors. Some say it's totally fine to have them in the hundreds, some say to have as low as possible.

Would anyone be able to explain these stats a bit further and give some insight into if it's ok to have HW errors and if so, how many is ok?

Also if one board is getting a lot more errors than the rest, is that an issue?

Thanks in advance for any help.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][HashTap™][FlexFee™] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ on: October 04, 2017, 10:21:39 AM
Sorry all I know lot has been said but I still can't work out:

I have L3+ setup and pointing to zpool - should I just leave diff out the password and let the system decide? Or is it really that more profitable to set a difficulty and keep checking / changing diff based on.... what the pool is close to at the time?Huh?

Sorry for repeated q.

Thanks in advance for any help.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any potential issue powering an L3+ with two EVGA PSU? on: September 29, 2017, 09:26:46 AM
You have to switch the power supply on via the ATX connector.
The signal "Power Supply On" must be connected to ground to start the power supply.

Ok cool, will use the old wire in green / black to get it to start with motherboard. But otherwise all ok to use two PSU for one system?

Minor detail: Most EVGA PSUs have one color for the entire cable, so you'll probably have to check a pinout diagram carefully to use that trick.

Some of their PSUs also come with a "power-on self-tester," which is essentially a fancy plug just for this purpose.

Ah cool thanks! Will check!
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any guides to setting up Zpool.ca mining? on: September 29, 2017, 08:47:59 AM
check the batch file link in my sig.  lots of good info.

near the bottom of that post is a link to my original batch post, with a LOT more info.

profitability is based on your hashrate and algo you mine.

be sure in your password to supply the payout type;  as well as the algo name you are mining. ('c=btc, skien' as an example)

I have batch files for manual selection, or for profit switching available.  I should be finishing my updated version of the batch sometime soon.
To see how an individual batch launch for a single algo would be done;  check out my how to normalize section.... it has batch examples.

Sorry i'm a complete noob when it comes to this. But you've basically created a script that will automatically switch between the most profitable algos / coins? And I would just need to go through and change certain parameters etc?

I have L3+ asics, **EDIT** so I just put in scrypt algo and it will automatically switch between most profitable coin? Or does Zpool already do that regardless of script used?

Thanks for the help.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any potential issue powering an L3+ with two EVGA PSU? on: September 29, 2017, 08:23:06 AM
You will need to adapter switches one for each PSU https://www.ebay.com/itm/302406895373. When you connect PSU 1 goes to controller board and then to first hashing board only. second PSU would be connected to remaining hashing boards. Never connect more than 1 PSU to a single hashing board.

Cool thanks man will do! Cheers

Can't seem to find any resources on how to properly set it up and set difficulty in password etc for best returns.

Anyone know of any guides?

Thanks Smiley

Would someone be able to explain or link me to a guide about setting the difficulty in the password field to increase returns? Is there some type of maths involved? How do you work out the optimal number to put in this field to get the best returns?

Thanks in advance for any help Smiley

Hey, according to their website this has 6 PCI-E connectors: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=210-GQ-0750-V1

Think it's the VGA and the SATA ones.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Any potential issue powering an L3+ with two EVGA PSU? on: September 27, 2017, 09:20:36 AM
Looking to get two of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B017RO39TK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1

In order to power my L3+ (and overclock so need higher watts).

Is there anything obvious i'm missing as to why this won't work?

Thanks in advance for any help Smiley
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: L3+ Breakout Board: Will this work? on: September 25, 2017, 02:55:38 PM
I see thanks buddy! So i'm thinking of just buying these (as they're the cheapest I can find atm): https://www.amazon.co.uk/DeLOCK-82924-15-pin-PCI-Warranty/dp/B0057A8TNS/ref=sr_1_33?ie=UTF8&qid=1506351070&sr=8-33&keywords=pcie+power+cable

Cutting the end off, stripping the wire a bit so I can attach to the breakout board, and potentially take the 4 wires out leaving just 2, and connecting the 2 wires to the breakout board.

Seems like it will provide enough watts / amps for each board... so I might just try it and see considering I got the breakout boards coming potentially today or tomorrow...

Think that sounds ok?

Thanks for your input! Smiley
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: L3+ Breakout Board: Will this work? on: September 25, 2017, 02:40:25 PM
Fuuuuck didn't realise this place existed!!!!!! I would have but already have the breakout boards being delivered.

Just need to work out how to power them properly via PCI-E - but sounds like I can just use standard 6 pin PCI-E cables and only use 2 of the wires on each...

thanks though!
