I have a great idea for distribution, leave 30% to donators, then the other 70% do a bitcoin airdrop/merge, the same thing which zclassic is doing right now.
Please get back to me with your thoughts, i'm sure the rest of the community would support this.
From here on, Its all about what kind of "coin" you want to "be" in this world. If what fuels the developer passion for the project is quick personal economic growth, then yes distribute it using methods that already favor the able, rich and wealthy. In that case, the only semblance to raiblocks its the fact it was forked from it. He has one chance to fairly decentralize a coin. What he will choose will steer the project.

If someone has a clue as to why 4 perfectly running vegas started to hashrate drop in a frozen windows installation, please share!
What miner are you using? Any recent temperature increases on the cards? Are temps in check? Assume it was a significant hash drop? xmr-stack-amd As I said above, one of the possible changing variables (everything else is fixed by deepfreeze) was the cards temperature. Raising the card fan speed didn't solve the issue. They all sit at about ~55ºc (hbm 65ºc). The drop is about 300 h/s on each of the 4 cards. It appears to happen simultaneously on all cards.

I am using a software called DeepFreeze on two 4xvega56 mining rigs to freeze any changes in my working virgin windows/vega installation.
The freeze state boots with a fresh windows installation, no updates whatsoever, with the 23aug blockchain drivers manually installed by device manager, and no regedit mods. A virgin installation. It always boots in this state.
After booting, I have scripts that apply the regedit powerplay mods, reboots the drivers using CRU.exe, uses devcon.exe to disable/enable the cards a few times in a row, and finally applies a custom overdriventool.exe profile , followed by xmr-stack-amd.exe. I never had a hashrate drop in one week of running, tested across many reboots. Always static performance. until now....
One of the rigs, after running perfectly for one week without hashrate drops, its now beginning to drop the hashrate after a few hours. Again, windows installation is frozen to the same state as one week ago. No updates, no driver changes. This hashrate drop purely caused by another variable affecting the cards. The other twin rig, has no problems whatsoever.
I have tried without success to: - Decrease core/mem speed - Increase Fan RPM by a lot
My latest try was to increase the voltages, which were already on the high side (0.980v).
If someone has a clue as to why 4 perfectly running vegas started to hashrate drop in a frozen windows installation, please share!

My 6x Vega 56 rig on Onda D1800 finally works like a charm. Averaging 1940 h/s per GPU so just over 11600 in total, for 1350W at the wall.
For the records, that's better than my two 7x RX570 rigs combined (11200 h/s for 1650W), without any single bios, SOC or soft power play mods.
Those bloody Vegas really are good.
I only wish CastXMR would allow you to set failovers...
Hey mike How are you dealing with the hashrate drop those card have? are you running a batch do reset the cards?

anyone can help my make start. bat file for monero mining in nanopool? i use poloniex wallet with XMR address. thanks.. Open poloniex, click your xmr deposit wallet, copy the wallet address. In the file epools.txt add at the bottom: POOL: stratum+tcp://xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14444, WALLET: ffdsfsdfsfsfdfdfsddddddddddddffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff ffffffff.mycomputer, PSW: x, ALLPOOLS: 0 POOL: stratum+tcp://xmr-eu2.nanopool.org:14444, WALLET: ffdsfsdfsfsfdfdfsddddddddddddffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff ffffffff.mycomputer, PSW: x, ALLPOOLS: 0 In the file Config.txt, delete everything in there. Must be empty for now. On your start.bat, add this: GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1 GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 NsGpuCNMiner.exe Now run the start.bat thats it. Everytime you need to add extra pools, add them to the epools.txt Everytime you need to add arguments (set temperatures, voltages etc) add them to the config.txt Thanks alot. running now One mistake on my post. You need to set setx behind the parameters like this: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

I'm testing this miner and its using more power than xmr-stack for only ~50h/s more. Anyone else noticed the same?
yeah seeing the same but im using cast xmr , what hash rates are you getting ? for my underclocked 470s i see 700 h/s 1100 core and 1925 mem , for my underclocked 480 i see 800 h/s 1100 core and 2100 mem on cast i see like 660 and 730 respectively , but less power use what arguments to make Cast work on rx570's ? I'm seeing 800h/s on average using claymore 1080gpu/1950mem @825mv ~60w (gpu-z) On the 290's I'm seeing 780h/s 1000/1100 89w (gpu-z) on average but with high spikes to 120w

I think there isn't a crypto-currency yet that can handle the traffic Bitcoin has.
What kind of traffic? Ethereum has been handling ~twice the transactions of bitcoin for weeks now. Maybe you meant dollar volume?

I'm really impressed by the vega XMR mining experience.
Aside from the regedit powermod needed to drop voltages down to 880mv range, and the need to toggle the HBCC if the hashrates are down after a reboot, the rest is quite amazing.
Target temperature of 48ºc:
-GPU @ 48ºc -HBM @ 56ºc, -Fan auto @2200rpm.
There is barely any heat coming out. The noise is a fraction of the 290x's noise. And it gets 1950 kh/s. (HBM cant do 1100mhz otherwise it would get 2000kh/s). And its getting it with only 1337mhz on the gpu.
Next thing I'll try to get voltages even lower (overdriventool can't get lower than 880mv), is to use the good old Offset (afterburner) and try dragging it down to ~830mv.
hello. Can you share the setting screenshot. because i hate fan sound Not at home. But I used this regedit mod file to unlock the lower voltages first: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7hntsldmLZBTWwxcmN4WENrejA/viewReset Computer and run overdriventool. On GPU P7 I have 1337mhz@870mv and on HBM P3 I have 1070mhz@850mv Target temperature is set to 48ºc (this is the setting that determines the fan speed in AUTO mode, but its important to keep HBM bellow 65ºc for better timings). Min fan @ 1700rpm Max @ 4900rpm That is it. With target @ 48ºc my fan is spinning @ 2200rpm. The fan could go inaudible If I set target @ 60ºc. Good luck

Hello guys
ETH veteran here, but wanting some feedback of these cards on XMR
Could you share your hashrates and wattages for XMR?
thanks!
My Asus expedition OC RX 570's with Anorak's power save rom get 662.5h/s mining cryptonight algo. GPU only power draw in GPU Z is approx 75w, still need to test it at the wall. Interesting. I have the same cards. How much ETH Mh/s do you get? Mine do 28.8 Mh/s @ 1080/1950 837mv (gpu-z 70ish watts).

vega64 here.
Seems capped @ ~1730 kh/s no matter how high i push gpu and mem.
Stack-xmr gives me 1860 for the same clocks.
Edit: Increasing HBCC to 24gigs fixed this. 1950kh/s 1337mhz/1070hbm

Pule ITX RX 570
vs.
MSI RX 570 / other dual fan 570
Can anyone tell me if the ITX RX 570 is any good or has any disadvantage?
pretty good if undervolting is your scene. Also, quiet despite the size! you can get from 27.5 to 30mh/s depending on the voltage you want to run at. strap: 777000000000000022339D00CE515A3D9055111230CB440900400600740114206A8900A00200312 0100F292F94273116

@claymore Every version since 9.4 won't allow me to connect via stratum 9.4 works fine. Exactly the same batch file. Did something change?

on one rig, this driver restored the full hashrate (25 -> 27.8 ). On the second rig, it restored much less (25 -> 26.8 ).
One has windows 10, the other windows 10 creators edition.
Edit: nevermind. Claymore miner cannot set nor read clocks/fans/voltages for this driver. Clocks were lower.
