I was pretty late in the game. Bought my first full bitcoin when it was a little over $900.
The bitcoin I bought in 2015 is somewhere in $200 I can't remember the exact price though, but I sold it in $500 now I regret that sold it I should hold it longer and sold it now maybe I have a profit of $1500 more or less. I can't buy bitcoin at the moment because it's the price is too much expensive, I can't afford to buy 1 bitcoin. I realized late enough that I made a mistake when I did not buy bitcoin back in 2010. Pfft. If this 'one investor' is as crazy as half the fools on this forum--or as caught up in the euphoria--this is nothing to start a circle jerking session over. Not that we don't have one in progress as I write this. In bull markets people go fucking nuts and predict that the Dow is going to be double what it is next year, and blah blah blah. No one knows. And this is just one opinion. Yeah it already hits 1,600 but I think it is pretty much hard for it to be in 4,000.

Nothing has stable value over long term - dollar and gold can decrease with time too, or rise. So, there's no "saving" without "investing". And when it comes to investing, it's better to diversify your portfolio. For example, you can keep most of your savings in Gold or Fiat (depending on your country), then smaller part in Bitcoin, and even smaller in some altcoins.
In short its the best thing if you are going to do both things. Because if you realize that you need to diversify your money for investing then you shpuld be aware too that you need to save. You have to protect your savings no matter what, there is some proper allocation that is needed in order to be successful otherwise you are putting all your money at risk. Whatever you wish to invest, it should be a certain percentage coming from your savings because part of your savings is for emergencies and leisure if that is included in your budget which I believe necessary also. Of course, life in today's realities is very complicated and that's why money is always small, but without saving them, it will be even less. |

I have heard about this feature and have also seen on poloniex and rates aren't pretty high and i don't really know how it works and how can it save you from scams. If you want you can instead lend your funds on this forum and you get collateral also. Or instead just trade a few coins on invest in some dice site.
The question is only about lending your bitcoins to make profits and not about investing in other products. Based on my experience I don't trust any site to manage my funds to give some unknown person because we have heard many scams. So particularly to lend money online I prefer to keep collateral with me in the even if they don't pay back then I can easily liquidate that collateral and get back my money without much hard work. If someone scam on these sites then you need to waste a lot of time to contact their support team to solve the issue. The fact is that Bitcoin users do not have any legal support. If I want to buy stocks or invest money I can easily invest with real $. Why would I convert my $ to bitcoins?
If I want to gamble , I can simply gamble on websites that require $ as currency, why would I convert it to bitcoins?
What's the difference between Bitcoins and dolars? What does bitcoin bring to the table that real $ don't, less taxes, more income?
The very own title of the thread is mistaken, it ask about the differences between bitcoin and real money and not the differences between bitcoin and fiat, so it seems to imply bitcoin is not real money and even if you cannot touch bitcoin with your own hands bitcoin is very real. Yes and if you can buy anything by exchanging bitcoin then its a real money as we don't have an option to spend them directly but we can always spend them by converting to fiat so there is not much difference in both of them. That is totally true, and I have to agree with your opinion. We can treat bitcoin as a regular money, but it is just designed in a different fashion. You dont earn it by doing a regular work in life, but only through internet as a freelancer, or even by posting on this forum. Obviously, you have a an option to just invest your money converted into bitcoins, to make some return out of it. So i think that there is no more differences between BTC and fiat, but it is still more useful than regular currency. Where to find a very large range of jobs that you can perform and earn money. But as for Bitcoin's earnings, the situation here is ambiguous, because all the work in my opinion is somewhat specific, although there are some moments, such as company signatures. |

If a person has already started to earn good money even with the help of Bitcoin, then other earnings will not attract him.
