I've just tryed to get into slack, says that : When your email arrives, click the link provided to complete signup. for my @iconomi.net mail. But I cannot register, iconomi.net.
As I understand, I can't get into slack without being on iconomi.net as a beta tester. As for now, registration are unavailable.

All of this trolling makes a point though : we're still waiting for a lot of news and info from the team.. Fair enough for the platform, I'd better see the release of an awesome one a month later than a buggy one right now, but still, there are a lot of things that weren't addressed and were supposed to become clear in annoucements to come : - What about the Legal part 2 article that was promised several months ago? Is Ervin still working on it?
- What about the ICN card? The last comm about it was Tim mentioning "Most likely in January with support in iOS and Android apps." Is it even still a thing?
Plus, it seems like some members of the team just went AWOL. As mentioned before, we haven't heard anything from Ervin in several months. Sladana apparently left the team, and unless I missed it, we had no comm about it whatsoever. What happened? What happened to her tokens, btw ?  HODLER here, the purpose of this post is defo not to FUD. But a lot of ICO investors, among which I am, got convinced by your project in the first place because of great PR and team transparency. What the hell happened since then ? Come on guys, throw us a fvcking bone. If you didn't know that Ervin switched from legal to operations weeks ago, then you may want to pay more attention to the real sources of info from team, medium, slack, reddit, twitter. They now have outside counsel from Novak Rutar Law Firm. A lawyer from the firm, Nejc Novak, gave a speech at The Blockchain Event in florida. I'm not sure if anyone filmed it. The team is on slack and reddit chatting with people at least once per week. They said they have ~8 developers working fulltime on testing the platform and they will launch it whenever it's ready. Here's the activity on their github that they posted in slack:  Keep in mind, they might also be relatively silent if they have buy orders or don't want to give the competition too much info on their activity. p.s. People who bought into the troll rumor that there would be some big announcement on 9 February just because they were going to a conference that day are foolish. Thanks for the info, MoveCrypto. I didn't know for Ervin. Wil take a look if I can find anything. Yet I'm on Slack everyday, and checking medium and Reddit several times a week. Problem is, you can't be permanently on Slack, waiting for Jani to answer a question every other day. About medium, let's be honest, except for Byteballs, no new info about the project has been added there since the PF delay announcement. Concerning the GitHub pic and the PF dev, yeah, saw that on Slack a few weeks ago when it was posted. Big deal. My main problem remains unadressed. They don't fvcking communicate. PS : I didn't buy in this troll rumor, the program of the event was available online from day one, and it made no sense to announce it there. But well, considering how their PR go these days ... Who knows, right ? |

Do you really believe this is scam when it's steady at 4x the ico price?
What 4x the ICO price ? In what fucking commodity are you calculating? Martians dollars ? Its ~ 2x in BTC ... stop being delusional. Its crypto world, we talk in BTC ... American dead presidents, Einstein. With 15 - 10% bonus, there was a way to buy ICN at USD 0.11 It's now USD 0.40+ Just do the math. You can compare to BTC value and say it "only" doubled. Yet Bitcoin pumped a lot since ICO, and ICN still shows a steady rise USD-wise, regardless of the BTC pumps / dumps. |

Who clicked IGNORE button on fud accounts?  Let's write guys who did it, so they see there are nobody left to look on their posts! it's a joke right ?  Won't ignore them. Seeing this type of non-sense FUD actually cheers me up. And as mentionned by MoveCrypto, this a pretty good bullish sign. Won't ignore a good indicator. Not to mention those guys might eventually make a valid point, which would help identifying and fixing it. Over time, I found this quote to be pretty right: If you throw enough shit at the wall, eventually something will stick.

Go to Kraken > Funding > Deposit > ICN There they mention 30 : 30 confirmations are required before the funds are available for trading. |

Yes, they indeed offered an ICO in which they allowed anyone to invest in BTC. Nothing illegal here. Concerning the platform use, though, you cannot really blame them for playing it on the safe side. They never declared US citizens would be able to use it in the first place. Nor did they declare they wouldn't. Let's assume you're an US citizen and feel wronged because you could invest -in crypto- in the project, but can't use the product. I'd rather have them deprive - probably temporarily - the US users from using the platform in order to avoid a costly and time consuming legal shitstorm. You'd apparently rather have them letting you use the product, even if it puts the whole project at stake ? This is BS. Totally backing them on being extra careful and launching where they know they can launch safely eg. Europe, and probably even China before the US of A. Understand your concern, but to be fair, their target is definitely not the "typical crypto guy". The people they try to get into crypto are traditionnal VC investors / old-economy whales, who are used to securities and regulated assets. Not only those people don't care about giving their ID before investing, they actually find that reassuring that the platform they invest on seems legit by enforcing KYC. |

ICO investors won't hold ICNP tokens unless they buy some. The platform will own part of the tokens, corresponding to the excess of funds collected during ICO. Those ICNP tokens owned by the platform should be accounted for in the ICN value. So no major news coming out from the conference, I think the team need to focus more on delivering the platform, since the December postponement the team has been silent on the status of the platform. I think you have to keep in mind, that crypto value is never purely based on the ROI of it is underlying architecture. Look at BTC, the coin is at 808$ and it does nothing but to belong to someone. Iconomi can do both, it is not only a token which gives you dividents it is also a storage of value in its own way. You dont need to distribute billions of dividends per year. It is the trust in the token which will drive its value. And of course its future prospects...

Mostly agreed. Markets are irrational. But still, a 10B marketcap!? you are missing something you wrote: 5 years is a looooong time. Everything can happen Yeah, that's right. In both ways. In crypto, most people would want their ROI in, well, probably less than a year. But 5 years to get back your stock-buying money from dividends only is an 'old-economy' investor's wet dream. Anyways, it doesn't mean you have to wait the 5 years, just that, IMO, it seems like a proper way of valuing an asset. people dont like math, they dont like to be reasonable.

Seriously though, let's not get too optimistic about a sudden price rise. Iconomi has a lot of potential to grow, but it will be gradual, subject to results (profit for funds investors) and there will be bumps along the way. So, everyone, fasten your seatbelts and HODL.
What you mean lets not be too optimistic, we are investing top dollars into it, the least we can do is be optimistic about OUR future ROI. People were saying the very same thing when Bitcoin was worth $1 a few years ago, no one back then remotely dreamed that Bitcoin was going to be worth $805 today, let alone $1100 shortly before MtGox got hacked. Right now, each ICN is worth $0.32 and people are here saying that $100/ICN is an exaggerated projection. Let me tell you this, that the time <b>WILL</b> come when ICN will absolutely surprise some people in terms on how much it WILL be worth in the future. Do Not be surprised if in a few more years you see ICN valued at $300+/each being conservative here. To my and everyone's radiant success in this investment venture! Of course I'm optimist about Iconomi's future, otherwise I wouldn't have heavily invested in it. And there are many factors that lead me to consider 100$ per ICN a somewhat optimistic but reasonable price in the future (concept, team, market growth etc..). The only thing is, I'm not giving it a deadline to declare it either a success or a failure. I'd be already very happy to see a sustainable growth up to 10$ sometime in 2017, but I will not sell in disappointment if I don't see it happening next year, as I'm confident in the long term value of ICN. I just wouldn't want to see people dumping because they expect 100$ next month or 1$ per ICN as weekly dividend starting from December 28 and it didn't happen, that's it. Iconomi has a bright future ahead. We just need to hold and wait. Fudders gonna fud anyway. Although I'd love to see a $100 valuation per ICN and -virtually- become a FIAT multimillionaire, I genuinely think this isn't reasonable at all. That would mean a $10 billion market cap for the platform only. With a $100 scenario, for the dividends to break even one's ICN buyings after, say, 5 years, The OFM would need to distribute 2bil per year in dividends, with a ~2% fee, the OFM would have to handle something like a hundred billion / year altogether... Almost seven times the current total crypto marketcap? Or am I missing something ? |
