1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Cant get cgminer to run on sp35 on: October 04, 2016, 09:02:35 PM
So for the past few days I have been tinkering around with an sp35. I recently was able to access it over my router however no matter what I try CGMiner status will always say not running. I tried to ssh into it however no matter what I change the ssh password to it wont accept it so I'm not sure where to go from here. Any help will be appreciated, I'd even be willing to donate some BTC to whoever can help me through this.

That configuration should work (the connectors are correct 6-pin PCIe auxiliary power connectors that appear to be properly wired), but it is close to the power supply's limits. Since power consumption goes up with clock speed, I would advise downclocking a bit (it would help with cooling as well). At 1400gh/sec it should only use 800-900 watts or so according to this post.
and i just found a 725w psu and if i couple that with my old 500w psu would that work?

Would that be a better option or should i invest more to get 2 750w or something and overclock it a bit?

I got a Spondoolies SP20 for 120$ but seeing as normal PSUs are 200+$ for a decent 1200w one i've been trying to find a server psu all I could find though is this.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-1200W-Power-Supply-PSU-Custom-Solder-Kit-for-Antminer-S3-S1-S5-Avalon-A6-/231963112292?hash=item3602143364:g:fewAAOSwIzNXOmBR

Will this be good enough to run my sp20 or should i be looking for something with more power?

i'm new to this whole bitcoin world so any help would be appreciated Cheesy <3
