1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIRATE] A zk-SNARKS only blockchain, Tor, secured by dPoW and BTC hashrate on: August 10, 2020, 08:03:51 AM
Pirate added to bitcoinbookmarks.com under top privacy coins list

It seems to me that investing in anonymous coins today is a big risk. Anonymous coins are delisting from many exchanges. Although I like the idea of anonymity in cryptocurrency.
Fully anonymous coins shouldn't be on centralized exchages, they are supposed to be on decentralized exchanges like atomicdex and maybe some other dex that might be built in future.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me find tokens from an airdrop on lost wallet on: May 07, 2019, 07:57:54 PM
Hi Guys,

All I have is this:
https://etherscan.io/tx/0x06d258edc232552c973bd60da7de985f59f2552e11191ec04770b9f60025ae59

and my wallet address:
0x7984aedcc9f8845d1c4a0c927cc9f33c2c1754b0

I want to access the wallet to get those tokens, but I don't remember the wallet site where It was created.

It is possible to do anything?

Thanks!
you might have created your account on myetherwallet or mycrypto, you should have saved your mnemonic phrase or private key somewhere, you need that to access your tokens.

I think that lately a lot of people are already thinking about the fact that cryptocurrency as a whole is a big scam. Therefore, to talk today about the scam of such big players as a whole is already a very big assault. Although I also can not say that it is not.
a lot of people think that yes, it's because of these ieos, icos etc.. it has to change. world never be free of scammers, it is us who has to be vigilant. in crypto not everything is scam, some people are really working hard in projects they believe in. give it 10 more years and everything will sort out.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many of you are GPU only miners? on: May 06, 2019, 06:51:38 PM
How many of you are GPU only miners?  I have 75 GPUS running for 2 years with 4.2 kwh electricity and the GPUS are consistent making money and paid the themselves off 18 months ago.  I'm planning on slowly expanding but I don't see any reason to buy ASICs, the ASICs I've had have been 50/50 profitable.  With GPUs they also have high resale value if you want to close up shop and liquidate everything.

Have always been a GPU minner and it serves me perfectly, a friend of mine thought he would advance by going for ASICs and funny enough he is back to GPU
gpus are better overall, they can also be used to do several other things like rendering, training ai or machine learning etc. not just mining like with asics. i would choose gpus over asics anytime.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is advertising for ICOs unethical? on: April 22, 2019, 01:35:51 PM
I've noticed many ICOs have to spend a lot of money on promotions and advertising.

For example, let's say an ICO raises 10 million dollars but has to spend 9 million on promotion.

Therefore, they only really raised 1 million for the project.

Isn't this unethical?

If you're starting a company and looking for investors the traditional way via stock equity, you would never spend 9 million or even 5 million or even 2 million in order to raise 10 million from investors.

This begs the question, what ratio of promotion cost versus funds raised for ICOs is ethical?

And how do we know if an ICO is using an ethical ratio?

if icos spend 90% of their money on advertisements then that project is going to fail no matter what, we should distant ourselves from such project. a good ico does not have to spend huge money on advertisements, they can very much succeed with community support.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From when you are involved with bitcoin? Had u wondered why you not meet before? on: April 21, 2019, 06:34:17 AM

7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Amazon and Bitcoin on: April 20, 2019, 04:48:19 PM
We really need Amazon to start accepting Bitcoin as payment again.

Has anyone heard anything in this space?
again? they never have accepted payment in bitcoin or any crypto, it would be cool though if they start now, eventually they will or maybe a decentralized amazon will emerge.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Start Mining MIB Coin on your smart phone. on: April 20, 2019, 08:52:21 AM
Two weeks ago MIB_MINER.apk was clean. Now there is found a Trojan.AndroidOS.Gluper.c: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/830d020e473ca3e79a49fbe85660a4a27afad55fa798e933d7899e91ed7ef063/detection
In the mobile app for mining uplexa a lot of response to the miner. But here is a completely different trojan. How can this be explained?
Not the fact that this is a trojan. Perhaps this is a false suspicion of antivirus. Antivirus programs do not like miners and very often show false alarms.
you can't be too casual with those detection, those miner could do a lot of harm, it's better be safe and use on a device that has no important file or any crypto stored.

When will the Agama Windows Desktop wallet be available for download (0.3.5)?
As i read it needs 0.3.5 for voting and i would of course like to vote.
Until when is voting possible?

you can also use the windows portable version

sure, was allready thinking about it, but as i used so far only the Agama Desktop versions i don't want
to mess up with other wallets/setups. I guess others have the same approach and keep a given
wallet once familar with it.
there is plenty of time to vote, may 14 is the last date.
portable version will not interfere with your current agama install, if you're worried then you can spin a vm and run portable version or wait for installer.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John "fucking" McAfee: I will reveal Satoshi on: April 19, 2019, 02:25:53 PM
macafee is just blabbing, he doesn't know the real identity of satoshi, no one does i guess. lots of smart people have tried to solve mysterious identity of satoshi but have failed. satoshi forever will be anonymous.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BiBox Token Review on: April 18, 2019, 04:42:08 PM
I checked today BiBox exchange and it looks like KuCoin, simple and easy interface.

Its token is around $1 right with market cap of 140 million

Is it worth investing or not? I think it can reach $20 very soon like KuCoin
I think to reach $ 20 it is very difficult to reach, with the highest bibox price in January 2018 is $ 3.70, so at this time bibox is very worth buying
yep $20 is hard price to reach, at least for now, but in bull market it probably would. currently binance's bnb is trading at it's highest price, there are many competitors now like bibox, kucoin etc, someday they might get as high demand as binance coin and drive price up!

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Masternodes/POS the future of mining? on: April 18, 2019, 08:29:30 AM
POS doesn't require any special equipment, also there is no a running cost, i.e. it is just a regular electricity consumption of your laptop. Let's say, POS is accessible for everybody easier than POW. That's why i prefer this way. Also there are pools for those unable to keep a wallet open 24/7. In this way POS looks like a truly passive income: you need just get coins, place them to pool and await for an income. Of course, a risk of scam remains, but where is not this risk? Also POW or any other doesn't protect from such risks.
well some pos coins don't require any special hardware and some do[for higher earning] , the downside to pos is that your coins are exposed. i think all those pos coins should implement cold staking like aura.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES on binance on: April 17, 2019, 03:21:34 PM
Yes, I also noticed this, probably someone very successfully invested, because I do not think that there was such a large amount of Waves that would really hit prices in such great opportunities. I think that there is something there.
i think it's just a glitch, order at that low probably weren't filled. it would be best to ask in binance chat or their support, they will have an answer.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone using privacy coins other than Monero (e.g. Zcash or Dash) or is Moner on: April 17, 2019, 03:13:41 PM
Is anyone using privacy coins other than Monero (e.g. Zcash or Dash) or is Monero the only privacy coin people are using for both payments and storing value?
komodo is really interesting coin for private transactions. there are lot of others things as well like 51% attack protection, each asset created on komodo have their own chain etc.. very interesting stuff going on.
17  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card on: April 16, 2019, 02:18:06 PM
Do you think that bitcoin debit card link to our bitcoin online wallet will be implemented or is it possible to happen in the future? After all, we still want some improvement and some option for us to pay in some grocery stores or department stores that accepting cards right? And do you think this is helpful?
of course it's possible and it will be implemented, when crypto is finally adopted we won't need debit or credit card to shop, our mobile phone with bitcoin or altcoin wallet will be enough. for now we have to use intermediaries like wirex, coinbase[offers card in UK] etc..
18  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BITTREX ACCOUNT GOT HACKED NEED HELP on: April 16, 2019, 01:07:19 PM
well keeping account safe is bit tedious but worth it, one should always enable all the security features offered by bittrex or any other site. sorry for your loss, nothing can be done once transaction is on the blockchain. i hope it's wasn't much and wish you could make it back.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance delists BitcoinSV for Craig Wright pretending to be satoshi! on: April 15, 2019, 05:19:47 PM
sv shit shouldn't had been listed at all, it's good see it go away, now other exchanges should follow and delist bsv asap.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anthony Pompliano Calls on Exchanges to #DelistBSV on May 1 on: April 14, 2019, 02:57:34 PM
Craig Wright is a fame hungry maniac who is willing to do anything for gaining popularity through his statements. There is no point in trying to delist BSV since it is not a popular coin in the first place which is why it shouldn't be given this much attention in the first place.

Honestly, majority of the crypto community have never heard of this coin before.

Coins such as BSV and BCH will remain dormant as long as everything is fine with Bitcoin. The moment BTC faces some issue, these coins (and their promoters) will try to pose themselves as the alternative to BTC.
there are several alternatives "if" btc runs into some issue why would anyone opt to use bsv or bch[wouldn't they face the same issue as they're fork of bitcoin] , why not ltc, eth or any other altcoin?
