It will affect the BTC/LTC rate but there's no reason why BTC will decline in USD terms.

EDIT: I take no responsiblity for any actions anyone takes from my advice, this is just my opinion.

You're lucky you put that in. I was just about to call my lawyer.  Grin

Why Litecoin if theres Bitcoin?

As far as i know there aren't really any game breaking differences between those. Or not?

From what I've read, it is faster. The speed difference is negligible now but won't it become a big difference as Bitcoins transactions grow exponentially?

OP gave no reason for selling out at $159 other than calling this a "sucker rally".

While it's obvious that BTC can't rise forever, who says it won't top out at $500/BTC or $5000/BTC?

Hi just got into bitcoin. I'm 24 and from Australia, economics + finance are my interests and that's why I'm here.

Still figuring things out. At the moment I see Bitcoins as having lots of potential and that's reflected in its appreciation against the USD and other currencies.

I still have to find a use for it myself other than a store of value. I guess as the Bitcoin economy develops there will be more uses.
