I just bought like 0.01 BTC to test it.  How do I transfer it to my other wallet on my computer?

I just funded my Mt. Gox account in Canadian dollars.  I went to buy some bitcoins and noticed that hardly any trades are done in that currency.

Is there a way to do a transaction in USD even though my account only has CAD in it?

Ah I didn't realize someone else has to verify a transaction. So whenever a new block is found or someone pays for something using bitcoins, a third party has to verify the transaction for it to be registered in the block chain? And for this to be done requires a transaction fee to compensate the 3rd parties time?

Im trying to wrap my head as to what exactly goes on to generate new bitcoins. I have a comp sci background (although it was many years ago) so wouldnt mind a more technical explanation.

Also, I keep seeing transaction fees.  Why would anyone want to pay these? It appears that they're voluntary.. no?

Like why cant I use my credit card or paypal account? Why do I have to jump through hoops just to credit my account.

Ill look more into the localbitcoins but the issue with this is that I have to pretty much meet the seller in person.  What's more, there arent sellers in the asian city im currently located.

Im surprised more payment solutions to exist!

Im a Canadian currently in Asia.  I keep trying to find out how to wire money to my mt gox account.  Some of the methods are restricted to russian, americans and brazilians.  Others require you to go to walmart to wire cash that way.  I dont have those options.  Can a canadian please help me on this?  I cant believe there are more streamlined ways of buying these things...
