1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Any miners from the UK want to start a mining farm in Iceland? on: July 05, 2016, 04:31:50 PM
This sounds very interesting, maybe another day I'll have what'd be required to make your idea successful. Until then I wish you luck and hope to hear more about this project. Have you taken into account the price of electricity in Iceland? And I guess you chose the area because it's cold and would require less coolers and such. Wink

At the moment roughly 5 cents USD right?
2  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: July 03, 2016, 12:19:48 PM
The answer is very simple, more stable means more popular and that is the general rule, we need to achieve that level if we want to attract more users of bitcoins and to generate massive adoption.

Amen to that!
3  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if Bitcoin became a legal currency? on: July 03, 2016, 11:55:35 AM
It is good to us who are now using bitcoin we have already an advantage and i think the price would be quitely stable if that will happen and also more stores start offering bitcoin as their mode of payment.

When bitcoins is accepted as a legal currency more people will start using it and the price will be volatile a couple of years before getting stable.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market is unstable. It will crash around halving day. on: July 03, 2016, 09:56:06 AM

6  Economy / Lending / Re: Need A Loan ASAP - Real Estate As Collateral on: July 03, 2016, 09:27:19 AM
The OP has not been online for over 3 days. He also PMed me requesting a loan of $1,500 with the same collateral while he had a thread to buy 4 bitcoins.

Smells like a scam to me.
Please reference the thread in which he was asking to make a purchase of 4 Bitcoin.  I looked and did not see it, but I did not do a thorough search.  Thank you in advance.

8  Economy / Economics / Re: [POLL] Will 1 BTC reach 1M $ comparable value in 10 years? on: July 03, 2016, 09:09:25 AM
This will not happen, 10 years is way to short and 1 million is way to high....
I would like to see this happening but I doubt it would be even in 100.000 USD per bitcoin.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to stake 24/7 on a VPS? on: July 03, 2016, 08:48:06 AM
All I know is how to setup the same on it

The what?

If you know how to setup a VPS, you should be smart enough to figure out how to install a wallet on one...

Sounds like you need a step by step guide from the very beginning? Do you even have an account with a VPS host?

Sure. I already know how to setup the VPS. The VPS host I use is called DigitalOcean VPS. I only wanted to know if VPS services allow you to run them 24/7. If so, I would leave the wallet staking 24/7 on it. It would be really great and serve as my own cloud staking service rather than depending on a third party like Stakeminers.com  Smiley

Yes no problem to run them 24/7 that is why vps are there  Wink
Have been running blackbird arbitrage on diffe[Suspicious link removed]' without any problem with the hosting company's.

11  Economy / Economics / Re: Countdown to the most awaited bitcoin halving on: July 02, 2016, 10:21:25 PM
there was a lot of talking about who is interested in bitcoin (some governments, banks..).

They are here only to make a profit on the tech (to lower costs) and hate the bitcoin and the whole idea behind it.
Same story for the governments, they are only frightend by the idea that people could transfer big amounts of cash around without them taking a chunk and call it "taxes".

Don't see this "all time high" happening at all, we will go a bit higher (850-900) before the halving but after the first 12 hours we will see some minor dumps of people that sold there altcoins to be part of the halving but aren't seeing the spike they where waiting on.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to stake 24/7 on a VPS? on: July 02, 2016, 09:37:50 PM
Just download the wallet for linux and start it up trough SSH and detach the proces from the SSH connection and it will work like a charm.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ETH ded] Mega-eth-doom-thread on: July 02, 2016, 09:30:56 PM
?

i mine eth. mainly to offset the cost of the videocards that are going into my next builds.

anyone who mines accepts the fact that the coin they are mining could faceplant tomorrow. its part of the mining game.
Well that would be the way for veteran miners, but a shitload of eth miners are people who missed the bitcoin boat and hope to ride on the next big thing...
14  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Any miners from the UK want to start a mining farm in Iceland? on: July 02, 2016, 09:11:05 PM
Will you set up a hosting company in Iceland that sells his rackspace to another company on some shady island, and the real mining company or will the whole company be in Iceland? Just selling rackspace to some other company would give some more profit and isn't illegal to my knowledge.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have u ever received BTC accidentally or randomly? on: July 02, 2016, 08:51:20 PM
