Thanks for this!

I was wandering around trying to figure out how to set up a mining client and out of all the "edit litecoin.conf" and other stuff this post shone out and just let me start mining while I read up and learn about litecoin.

How do you know when your solo mining is working in Litecoin anyway?

I was trying to figure that one out myself, when I start mining in the litecoin client the pickaxes at the bottom just say "Mining at 0 hashes per second" I'm not even sure if it's doing anything. GPU pool mining with the GUI miner seems to be working fine for me though.

http://www.truecrypt.org/hiddenvolume

Quote
The principle is that a TrueCrypt volume is created within another TrueCrypt volume (within the free space on the volume). Even when the outer volume is mounted, it should be impossible to prove whether there is a hidden volume within it or not*, because free space on any TrueCrypt volume is always filled with random data when the volume is created** and no part of the (dismounted) hidden volume can be distinguished from random data.

TL;DR: Truecrypt website says yes.

Considering that mtgox is around $16 per btc even with the current security concerns...

You don't think what? That there's not somebody selling 0.15 coins over and over, snailing the price downwards?

I can't believe several people just HAPPENED to have exactly 0.15 BTC.

Or am I missing something?

Well a few pools have a minimum payout of 0.1 so it could be people cashing out... at a really small amount... and that reason it probably just a clutch at small straw.
