1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: November 27, 2018, 06:44:23 PM
I think it is pointless to change bitcoin to ETH or back. These are very similar coins. If you really Want to sell bitcoin and buy other coins to expand investments, then pay attention to any of these coins Nucleus Vision, Shivom.

The price of ETH is low relative to BTC. If you change now, you might earn more BTC in the future.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: May 22, 2018, 04:18:55 PM
When ETH is still at around $300 I switched to BTC since it was unstoppable last year however this year ETH pumped and I regret that decision because of that I decided to hold both of them 60% ETH and 40% BTC. I am holding both of them but when I see another altcoin to invest with I'll use my BTC and will hold the other. Honestly, it is very hard to decide which coin to hold since I don't have a lot of idea in trading/investment but one thing that I am sure of, ETH is the future and next BTC in the making.

I think it is wise to hold both. But Bitcoin Cash could also be a good option.

And if you have some spare ETH you could easily double it on doublemyether.com

Statistically, most will lose.

Hello everyone
Where can i track Bitcoingold ? Does not appear in the Coinmarketcap list yet. Is there someone to help?

It is not out yet. The developer is still developing it, for example the replay attack protection.

Yes bro you can right thinking. You can move BTC into ETH bacause ETH is very potential coin I think. For future life you can hold ETH.And finally I'm sure you can earn big profit.

I moved some bitcoin into ETH a few weeks ago, but it seems it was not a wise move.

If you buy BCC a few days ago, you will be rich.

That is right. I think the BCC will rise again. ETH could also rise.
Bitcoin cash will rise definitely again with passage of time. Bitcoin cash is now in pumping phase and many people are now attracted towards this coin because its price is rising beyond 800 dollars. Eth is also among growing coins and investing into this will secure your coming years.

I do not think Bitcoin Cash is in pumping phase now. It is consolidating. It might rise in September or October.

I think the Bitcoin Cash price will be around $600 for the next few weeks, then it could be higher pushed by big whales.

ether soaring so high that it may over take bitcoin in months. i wouldn't be surprise if this happen this year. the domination battle always end up on platforms like eth and waves. there are some on top but hasn't really made their development as fast as these two. waiting for NEM to do some initiative.

At the current rising rate, the ETH will be larger than bitcoin soon.

In market cap maybe, but in price not in the near future for sure. Even with bigger market cap, ether would not take bitcoin's first place for adoption and using.

Bitcoin adoption and growth is also stunted, companies are leaving for ETH, new users are getting annoyed at slow and expensive transactions. This thread has many pages from the first big ETH pump prior even to the DAO and we've been saying the same things. Granted Bitcoin kept rising but it just can't keep up right now unless something dramatically changes.

I don't think Bitcoin will die or anything, it will just be another option among many. It already is, preferred by idealists, anarchists, etc that basically took it hostage.

I think the reason for people to use the ETH is that the bitcoin is too slow and expensive to send.

8  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-10-30] Largest Indian News Network: Bitcoin Will Reach US$10,000 on: November 01, 2016, 04:44:30 PM
"During a live show broadcasted to millions of active viewers, Chaudhary described Bitcoin as “the world’s most valuable currency,” and stated that the Zee News network decided to launch a complete segment on Bitcoin to discuss about the Indian government’s recent seizure of a Bitcoin exchange.

Chaudhary said:

“We're also making this segment because an Indian agency is trying to freeze a Bitcoin exchange. Drug sellers are using Bitcoin, and a division of the Indian government, the Narcotics Control Bureau, has seized 500 Bitcoins. As one bitcoin is 45k rupees, the amount frozen is around 2 crores and 25 lakhs.”

Bullish on Bitcoin & Debt-Based Monetary Systems

Despite various regulatory concerns and policies surrounding Bitcoin in India, and the government’s crackdown on several large local Bitcoin exchanges, Chaudhary explained to its large audience that the rapidly rising value of Bitcoin must be noted and considered before criticizing its legality.

Chaudhary, who is also the host of Daily News & Analysis at Zee News, instead heavily criticized banks and the current monetary systems in India, stating that if 3 percent of the entire Indian population or even a small percentage of the clientele of local banks were to withdraw their cash, banks wouldn’t have enough capital to process the payouts.

Chaudhary says:

“The truth is, even if only 3 percent of people withdrew all their money from their banks, the banks would not have enough money to pay them. The entire monetary system is dependent on governments and banks. If a bank messes up, then all your money could be lost. But, Bitcoin is an attempt to get away from this regulation and this danger of banks.”

More importantly, he emphasized that clients cannot be assured that the numbers which are often displayed on bank account statements can be withdrawn as the majority of user funds are loaned out to corporations and high profile individuals.

“But when you store your cash in a bank, the bank takes a large amount of your money and loans it out to other people. You can see money in your bank account, but the truth is, that money isn't there,” he further emphasized.

Ultimately, Chaudhary believes that Bitcoin offers the financial industry and its consumers with actual control over their funds, unlike current monetary systems and banking services that are heavily dependent on the government and central bank’s monopoly."
9  Economy / Economics / Re: How much money do you have left from your job? on: October 22, 2016, 04:41:02 PM
I want to talk about salaries. How much $ do you have left after paying taxes, rent, and basic expenses (electricity, water)
I get $10 000/y like a fucking slave
My spending basic is $5 000 / year, including food, $2 500 without food
I live in the former SSSR
Another reason to move away

Like a slave? Don't despise your job man, there are millions of people that have a dream to have the salary $10,000 yearly, which means $833 every month, this is also based on the place people live but it's not bad 10k yearly.
833 dollars every month is huge amount if you live in 3rd country, mostly people here get paid with around 120 dollars  and it was enough to pay all the necessities, such as rent, food for one month and the rest could be save, due to the everything are cheap here.
You must be gratefull have a job with salary 10k dollars yearly.

300$ a month is not woth it thats why i am doing part time jobs like pc repairs electronics. Having a family is a great challenge financially, we kept on doing whats best for our kids and our partner. I must take whole responsibility to most situation to cope up with budgeting on money.

$300 is quite a lot. It is about 0.5 bitcoin a month, or 6 bitcoin a year. That will be worth a lot in a few years.
10  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining in 20 years time on: October 06, 2016, 04:49:26 PM
I haven't made up my mind yet if increasing the block size is a good idea or not
what I know for sure that mining in 20 years time will have seen us through at least 4 reward halving,
so the block reward is smaller and the miners main profit is from the transaction fees
how will this affect the speed of transactions?
are  bitcoin v2,v3 or any changes to blockchain  really necessary?

Increasing the block size is good if you want more transactions on the main chain so that there will be more users.

If you followed my posts this must be the most perfect trading move I've made in my life haha, I sounded like a pro calling all moves. I did however expected ETH to pass $15 at least, even reaching $20, it didn't happen so I got out at the very top (that's a new one).

Anyway, I'm trying to buy some ETH for the long term but I'm not really sure where the price is headed now. What do you guys consider a fair price or entry point without getting greedy? Please don't say $5-7 bucks or sub 0.01, it that happens I'm all in (hopefully some civil lawsuits news from the DAO hack...)

It is possible that the Etheruem price will consolidate around the $12 to 14 in the next few months. Then it will rise.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: September 12, 2016, 07:07:45 AM
From the time I wrote my last posts ETH pumped a little bit, it even touched $12 and now sits a little below it. To me it looks like a clear accumulation phase, if ETH didn't break after the DAO and ETC it won't go lower than this with Devcon 2 news and development progress coming out.

I've bought some at the dips at 178 and low 180 so I think I'm good, I'm not going all in of course but if I see the price did below those levels I'll definitely buy some more.

The volume is quite low in the exchanges at the moment. So if it is the accumulation phase, it will take some time.

18  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining in 20 years time on: August 02, 2016, 07:18:36 AM
It will be very hard to mine last bitcoins at my opinion, cause contest will be very big and everybody will start adding more and more hardware to get it.

In 20 years, the transaction fees will be higher than the block reward at the time. So people are mining for fees.
19  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining in 20 years time on: July 10, 2016, 04:46:01 PM
99.21875% will be mined in 20 years time. If electricity isn't very cheap by then and/or if bitcoin isn't worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, it's hard to imagine anybody wanting to mine then. How will transactions then be verified?

At that time the block reward for miners is somewhere at 0.390625BTC which is pretty low comparing with today's reward. 20 years from now the price should much higher to see miner still mining.

At that time, the transaction fee will be more than 1 bitcoin. The transaction fees in some current blocks are already more than 1 bitcoin.
