1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co | Instant | Stable | Reliable | Usable for Purchases on: June 18, 2013, 09:16:55 PM
i just have a question im mining dgc at 500kh/s and in the calculator on it says im going to get about 45 dgc per day and i have been mining for 12 houres and only got 5?Huh

is the pool steeling im mining at http://digicoinpool.com

That's one of Big Vern's pools, right? Those pool's payments are always off for me aswell Smiley

switch to http://dgc.epools.org, i've been mining there for nearly 24 hours straight now and made 68 DGC so far (1.5 hours to go for the 24h mark)

I second http://dgc.epools.org, best pools I have come across while Crypto mining. I have used the other cypto pools he hosts and they are great as well.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][WDC][POOL][PPLNS][DDOS-protected] WorldCoin mining pool on: June 12, 2013, 09:25:07 AM
fixed. up & running again. sorry for the inconvenience Sad

Try to find a solution to avoid this so next time you sleep, as because there is definitely a tide of miners from the pool and from this and from DGC

Yes please!
While CGMiner fell over to another pool that pool sucks and I only get about 65% of expected.

Yay for Erundook being back up!

I cannot seem to connect to your website.  I tried clearing my cookies and cache but that hasn't helped.  Any ideas?

Looks like the whole lot is down again, can't connect to DGC one either.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co | Instant | Stable | Reliable | Usable for Purchases on: June 11, 2013, 09:24:40 PM
Evidence suggests that this is the result of someone actively trying to undermine the DGC network by operating as a false node. As DGC grows and the network grows stronger this will become less of an issue and eventually cease entirely.

That doesn't sound good.
Is that normal with new crypto coins?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co | Instant | Stable | Reliable | Usable for Purchases on: June 11, 2013, 09:11:59 PM
Can anyone please tell me if this is a bug? Just opened my DGC client and saw that it is trying to sync. It shows that there are 268k blocks remaining on the sync, but it shows all my latest transactions (as of a couple days ago) as confirmed. Also, it says the last block received was generated 18 seconds ago.

Just restart your client. Your funds are safe. Sometimes there's some other coin's chain conflicting I think although I didn't see that  error for few days already. I guess the network is getting stronger.

Thanks for the confirmation. Did it and now everything looks fine!

Just wasn't sure if that was something I should worry about or not; figured something may be corrupted and with cryptos, I've learned (reading posts) that the smallest mistake can make you lose everything, :p.

This has been happening to me every single time I leave my wallet open in the background. Just have to keep restarting it when it pops up again... more a nuisance than anything else.

I noticed that this problem went away for me when I opened port 7999 to the computer running the wallet. It went from around 15 connections to over 60.

Ah, I came here for the same issue.
My DGC client keeps reverting to unsynced. I do have a WDC wallet open at the same time though so maybe that is it.

Maybe all hosted on the same server which has died.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][WDC][POOL][PPLNS][DDOS-protected] WorldCoin mining pool on: June 08, 2013, 05:01:10 AM
Yep, Erundook's WDC pool is down and also his DGC one.

Negative, my junior post count should verify that for you...just wondering what to do with my early mined coins.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoin WDC | Coin of the Future | Instant Transactions | Launched on: May 26, 2013, 09:44:18 AM
This is the first Alt coin (apart from LTC) that I have followed.
The network hash is way down, price way down.
Is WDC dead?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][WDC][POOL][RBPPS][DDOS-protected] WorldCoin mining pool 2 on: May 23, 2013, 08:58:43 PM
i was on 2 , now i switched to 1 :

 Your valid: 2032
Invalid: 257

still high rate...

My Invalids were about 30% when I started. not sure why but it calmed down to about 10% now.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: May 01, 2013, 09:36:08 AM
For me 13.1 has been faster than 13.3 and 13.4..

Cat13.1 7970 @ 1030 / 1250MHz gets me 720 kHash and 13.3+ 685 kHash

I would like to see your magic formula for 720 on 7970 with core 1030 and memory 1250, this doesn't make any sense .

can you post a Picture here to see these settings , if what you are saying is true this means that we are all doing it the wrong way, or somehow you have some good luck or a magic card .

I know from my own testing there are sweet spots to these cards. At 950mhz GPU I get the same KHs at 1225mhz memory as 1425mhz.

I think there is something else going with scrypt apart from straight memory speeds or golden ratios.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 30, 2013, 09:23:08 PM
I see there are new drivers out:
13.4 WHQL
13.5 Beta

I am currently using 13.3 Beta.

Has anyone tried the new ones? I won't get a chance until the weekend.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 17, 2013, 02:20:46 AM
This Litecoin mining is less a Science at this point than it seems to be Sorcery.

I had to completely and radically change the cgminer settings to get the same performance from this card on a riser in the 3rd slot.

Why on earth would two identical cards require wildly different settings in different slots on the same motherboard but in the end perform the same?  I think there is a LOT better performance that could be had from GPUs in scrypt mining - this inconsistency shows unoptimized and possibly buggy software imho. (at least on RADEON 79XX).

I agree, there are sweet spots that you can find though.
For instance at 950 core I get the same performance on a 7970 at mem speed 1225 and 1425. If scrypt is all about memory speed then that makes no damn sense. Everywhere between 1225 and 1425 mhz is very bad KHs.

I think the 7 series cards might have a lot of power hidden in the. But then if someone writes a better miner why would they release it?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 16, 2013, 09:32:24 AM
Start 1 #1: I run the miner on the first to GPU, good hashrates ±560, when i start mining the 3rd GPU-system crash/shut down
-
snip
-
I also watch the GPU temperatures, it reached 90c on some settings - on other settings the GPU temperature was quite ok (maxing 81 for one GPU the others at about 60) but the GPU was reaching 99% constantly (on other settings the was to change in load).

Couple of ideas:
1. not enough power to the system, once you start the 3rd card the system will crash out, I would have thought 850w should be enough though.

2. getting too hot - run with case open and a big fan pointing straight at system.

3. one card is faulty - try mining with each card for an hour by itself.

For 1 and 2 undervolting may help. You should be able to drop the volts (VDDC in afterburner) to 1.030 at stock clocks.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 16, 2013, 09:25:41 AM
Is there a reason why every so often one of my 7950's says "SICK" or "DEAD"? The temps don't go above 80 C.

did you undervolt it?

I haven't done anything with them.....

Good call on the undervolting, if I undervolt my 7970's to 1.025 they will got "sick" once or twice a day. At 1.030volts they are constantly fine.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Litecoin] P2Pool CryptoCoined.Com [Australian Node] on: April 14, 2013, 12:14:18 AM
feel free I would not mind at all but keep in mind p2pools take time to warm up befor the pay outs get good I dont know if your good pay outs from your server would carry over or not plz let us know if you find out

and good luck man I find proportional type payments way more fun then pay per share just today we found 5 blocks in less then 60mins the spam was bothering me pop ups saying you got money you got money but then I realized I was getting money so it did not bother me lol

Apparently it should be fine as long as I am using the same payout address:
http://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,1430.msg14425.html#msg14425

I'll give it a day for my payouts to stabilise again and then switch to your pool for a couple of hours and see if I keep the same payout.

I saw the nice cluster of blocks found, unfortunately my payout price hadn't recovered from the 5 hour outage Sad
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Litecoin] P2Pool CryptoCoined.Com [Australian Node] on: April 13, 2013, 11:53:08 PM
Hey NightAss,

I am running my own p2pool node but had a problem where the node computer went down over night.

Would you mind if I put your pool in my cgminer config file as a backup?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 13, 2013, 03:39:47 AM
Placing a order for my first 7970 on monday:)

SAPPHIRE RADEON HD7970 DUAL-X 3GB, thats the one i should get, right? Been reeding in this thread, seems like khash/s is pretty poor on those factory overclocked Ghz editions.

If you want a MUCH better value, get this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125414

I have 2 of those.. and 1 of the 7970 sapphire dual-x.

the 7970 gets 690khash..

each 7950 ($100 cheaper) gets 670+khash

I agree, everything I have read suggests the Gigabytes (7950 and 7970) are great LTC miners. Only problem is they are voltage locked so if you live in a country with high electricity prices they might not be the most efficient.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 13, 2013, 01:20:50 AM
On the Sapphire cards the best I have been able to get is 950/1425 for 650KHs. I am OK with that as they are drawing little power doing it.
I was pushing the memory up and down trying to get a little more out of them and found nothing better up to 1700mhz on the RAM. On a whim I tried 1220mhz RAM and got exactly 650KHs, weird. That seems to be the best so left them running at 950/1220, wish I could drop the RAM voltage below 1.5v...

This is using CGminer with 2048 shaders, 8192 Thread Concurency and - g2 and intensity 13.

paperkat,

I have two of the Sapphire Dual-X.
See my quote above for settings.
At those settings I am running 1.025 volts which saves a surprising amount of power.

finally got my 3x7950.

....voltage locked.

FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU

3 cards pulling 1kw = omfg.

Brutal, I have 4 7970's in two different computers (2 per computer) and they are pulling 1050watts for both rigs.
Advantage of being able to get VDDC down to 1.025-1.030.
Cards are Sapphire Dual-X OC and MSI OC Boost.

I was fiddling around some more last night and found something interesting.
