@pat @up

My old account "yoo016" (which is on the NEM final stakeholders list) has experienced the same fate: banned and all posts being deleted.

2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin price ticker? on: March 27, 2013, 03:45:10 PM
Would anyone be interested in a physical bitcoin ticker.

IE a LED "sports/stock" ticker that shows the current Bitcoin price. I've been working on figuring out how to get it started.
You'd have to have the LED plugged into a USB port at all times to receive the power/info but it's not THAT hard.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What other crypto currency should MtGox support ? on: March 27, 2013, 02:16:49 PM
I don't imagine they will support another crypto currency unless its use surpasses bitcoin.

I don't think they have to surpass BTC, but at least become a contender. I think adding another CryptoCurrency would add legitimacy to BTC if nothing else (assuming LTC or whatever are fairly legit).

I'll be curious to see how this turns out. Good luck!
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What prevents govt from forcing online retailer to give up your shippingaddress? on: March 27, 2013, 02:11:59 PM
how can they prove the purchaser and receiver are the one and the same?

That's true, just because something is shipped to you're home doesn't imply ownership.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do people pay 95-100 dollars per bitcoin in my localbitcoin.com area? on: March 27, 2013, 02:10:45 PM
How do I even compete with that lol.

Edit; no they are not paying with paypal.

Speculation. But I have to say it's not completely unwarranted.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: another big sell-off this weekend? on: March 27, 2013, 02:08:33 PM
i want to buy in soon. i just dont know when.. i told myself at 75 dollars that it will drop and ill buy in then.. but it has not dropped at all and im kicking myself in the ass because now its well over 80 dollars! this is crazy!

Honestly watch the price for a day and buy in when it dips the lowest. This weekend you might lose a little money, but over the next month you're guaranteed to start making some serious cash.

Mining now is not worth it. You will gain much more by buying BTC and holding for a couple of weeks/months/years

Maria 2.0

Completely. Over the last few months I've just stopped thinking of mining as a reasonable source of income unless you're ready to drop some real dough to get yourself started. And even then it's unclear how long it will last.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheapest way to pay off my office rent $500 with bitcoin mining on: March 27, 2013, 02:00:43 PM
It's definitely possible, I think the big question is whether you can differ the first month's rent AND pay for your rig in a decent amount of time. With the rigs coming out this summer It's also unclear how long you'd be able to keep it up for.

It's a pretty big gamble.
First, you're hoping that you will receive it on time, and then hopefully not that many other people will have them.
Honestly if you can snag one before they become really distributed you can at least make back your original investment pretty quickly.

If you have the money to gamble with then yeah go ahead, but IMO it's not worth the risk.

Hey! Finally decided to make an account on here and get into the real discussion! I'm part of a small group of friends that have been slowly investing more and more into bitcoins over the last ~2 years. It really does seem to be the way of the future and I hope to see some real profits this week with Cyprus!
Good luck to all of you!
