For anyone who wants to build an alternative to steem the first basic fundamental is to give 1 human = 1 vote. If you want wisdom of the crowd to decide which post is best everyone should have equal power.
Also people should not be influenced by number of upvotes or voters's usernames this info should be hidden

You guys don't know or just don't want to answer? I am new here so not sure if my post are even visible?
It is has already been answer upthread and the other Steem threads. It is a complex answer and I guess we are tired to repeat. The Steem structure is very complex to explain. OK thanks for your answer. I thought my question was pretty straightforward. Do you know where I can get the full documentation and which section of the whitepaper talk about vest? When the white paper discusses Steem Power, it is talking about Vests. The white paper does not go into all of the technical details. You can read some of imnotback's explanations in this thread, or google and try to get a grasp of what is going on. To be honest, Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity is easier to figure out. I have re-read the Steem Power section, the paper doesn't discuss anything about stock split or vest. I have read all steem thread that's how I know about stock split and vest but I can't find any technical details about these Here's where it talks about the reverse split. https://steem.io/SteemWhitePaper.pdf#page=39Thanks for the link. Paper says that when the split occurs all balances of steem are divided by 10 and all price multiplied by 10,that make sense but what happens to the Vest aka Steem Power balances? They mean both STEEM and SP. I had explained the only reason they are doing that is they didn't want to add an extra two bytes for balances, and thus they must rescale them every 3 years. Do I have to repeat this every two weeks, when someone new arrives and doesn't find the old discussion. Sounds like you need to chill a bit. Anyway I got it now so thanks. If the price of steem doesn't go up and you have your funds locked in SP you are losing 10% value ( minus curating reward) every year , as an investor might as well buy some steem or steem dollar.

Apparently VEST was the old name for Stem Power https://steemit.com/steem/@ned/long-live-vests-

OK thanks for your answer. I thought my question was pretty straightforward. I had spent several posts explaining to magicacademy that a reverse stock split doesn't change the proportional holdings nor debase any one. Did you read the whitepaper? It's odd that I can't find any info on stock split/vest and that no documentation is available.

What happens to number of vest when the stock split occurs? I am trying to understand how are " shares" not going to be diluted by the inflation

Influence tokens which earn more power by holding long term. The more you hold the more you influence post rewards and earn for accurate voting.
If you have an account on stemmit this is what your board says about your steem power I read on one article that you can also earn from voting articles that became popular on steemit networks
What voting power are you talking about? The whales own 95% of all steems, founders alone more than 80% https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1558366.0To give someone 10 cents on a thread you need to invest $50 000, what kind of people even have this money? This system is completely rigged it's basically the same system as fiat where the rich get richer. My thought exactly. I made the mistake of buying SP thinking I would get some good return. I didn't do it to have some voting influence , I did because I thought that's where I would get the most return. Now I have my money locked for years in an inflationary currency. I got fooled by the ever increasing amount of SP.

At 1st sight this is really not EZ to understand.
The STEEM Power has the primary function to attract females to add value to the platform. Sounds weird, right?
Well it seems so but it's not that weird.
If u think about it, STEEM Power makes a lot of sense and the women love it so much that some of em actually post their titties on the steem website.
~CfA~
why do you troll my thread? hey Pikachu!ur impression is very wrong. I honestly feel that this is exactly what the steem power is all about. This is not trolling. I perceive it this way! ~CfA~ You are trolling because you are not answering the question.

Steem Power have like 10% inflation every year why would people lock their coins for 2 years to lose money?
Sure the price of steem could increase but there is no point to have them held hostage in steem power. I don't get it.
