1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: November 21, 2013, 03:18:08 AM

Welcome back BKKcoins. I wouldn't worry too much about folks here being upset -- your K16 creation is doing well!

Plus you have still been posting more frequently than Steamboat!  Wink

I suggest everyone with running K16s send a little something to your tip address to help you through your tough times.

I would be interested at 1.5 BTC per board

Looks like stats may be hung up. We have solved a few blocks that may not be reported on stats.

I've switched to Eligius and have been stuck at 22 minutes left until payout since 3AM.  Is there a problem?  The page doesn't seem to be updating.

Very bad luck on solving the next block. Pool has been working on it for over 8 hours according to the stats.

Nothing seems wrong, just a usual bit of bad luck. Once we solve it things will get rolling again.

5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon auctioning their 55nm chips on: November 08, 2013, 03:38:23 PM

Putting issues of the past aside for a brief moment....

Why would anyone buy these chips when options like bitfury are available and much more efficient?

I would very much like an answer from Avalon team on how their chips are better than bitfury. Please answer this for me.

6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: November 08, 2013, 03:34:19 PM

Interest in 10+ boards depending on final pricing.
7  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] cairnsmore1 FPGA on: November 07, 2013, 10:55:25 PM
Yep, description says it all. I need a few cairnsmore1 FPGA miners for non-bitcoin project.

I have 6... open to offers in BTC.

I have a Silverstone Strider Essential Series ST60F-ES, it has 4 PCIE connectors, if each PCI connector has only 75W and each klondike uses 60W wont I be able to only use 1 per connector rather than split each connector?  I thought originally each Klondike would consume 32W, but steamboat says the F16 uses 60W.  Any advice on this? Will I be able to power 8 K16's with this power supply or only 4

The 75W rating is exceptionally conservative. You are fine to put two Klondike per PCI power line. You should be able to do 8 with no problems on that power supply.

9  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BitBurner Fury ~50GH/s IN STOCK 499€ on: November 06, 2013, 01:01:15 PM

Thanks for sharing! I'll give it a try! BTW is --queue 4 because you have 4 boards? Shall I use 2 for 2 boards? Grin

That has to do with work queuing from the pool. I believe it is a leftover from an older version of cgminer that would run into work shortages without it... I don't think it is even needed anymore but I leave the option there as it's working well. If you do add it I would leave it at 4.

My 2 boards + PSU have arrived today, that was quick! Ordered Saturday, shipped Monday and arrived Tuesday!

Both boards work fine on Win 8.1 + CGMiner 3.6.6, they average at about 46 GH/s each but only using suggested default settings.

- Used Zadig Driver 2.0.1.160 first for CGMiner to detect them.

- My CGMiner options are: --avalon-options 115200:64:10:50:256 --bitburner-voltage 1300

Has anyone found better options to squeeze a little more out of 2 boards?
Do I need 64 for number of chips even with CGMiner 3.6.6 or should I go with 32 instead?

You should be able to use 32 as you have two boards.

With 4 boards I run:

--avalon-cutoff 63 --bitburner-voltage 1380 --avalon-options 115200:64:10:d:278 --queue 4

This gives right around 50Gh/sec

Something weird seems to be going on at the moment - Eligius seems convinced that my hashrate is roughly twice what it really is.  I'm not complaining Wink, but it definitely looks like something is wrong.

Yeah something is funky -- right now vardiff seems to think diff 512 makes sense for a miner running 200gh...

12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITBURNER FURY Technical discussion on: November 03, 2013, 05:48:43 PM
I knew that raising the voltage makes your consumption go up exponentially, but this seems a lot. Have you measured your consumption at default speed/voltage? If i'm not mistaken it should be 256 with 900mV, but don't take my word on that.

Just did a quick test on my 4 boards:

256 Mhz, stock mV = ~160Gh/sec @ 235w (1.4w/Gh)

278 Mhz, 1380 mV = ~200Gh/sec @ 383w (1.9w/Gh)

Measured at the wall using a kil-o-watt. Power supply is Corsair AX860.

I know the firmware I am using is converting those clock and voltage numbers (as it thinks it is talking to an avalon board) but the overall Gh and power numbers are accurate.

These is a lot of watt for 200 gh

Yes, it is a bit high but that is the max overclocking for the boards/chips so it is expected to be inefficient compared to more moderate overclock settings.
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITBURNER FURY Technical discussion on: November 03, 2013, 01:49:03 PM
what's your hashrate?

Right around 200G (50G per board) on the BBFs. They have been very stable, running off a raspberry pi.

Burnin has done a great job with all the hardware he has put together. Business dealings have been stressed but the actual hardware seems quite good.

15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITBURNER FURY Technical discussion on: November 03, 2013, 01:38:21 PM
I had to change my psu, because 2x20A 12V rails (400 watt) didn't work. It was fine with 1300mV setting, but quit working with 1350 mV.
A 450 watt psu with one 37A rail helped, no problems for more than 12 hours with hashing around 200GH/s.

I really would like to know how much power is needed for 4 boards.

I have 4 boards and they pull about 400 watts total at the wall.
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon is shipping 55 nm process chips? on: November 02, 2013, 01:06:02 PM

There is no reason for anyone to purchase these chips. They are  inefficient compared to chips that have been available for a while now (bitfury). They are priced way too high for what they are.

I'm not aware of any working board designs for them so it will be months until you are mining.

17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: November 01, 2013, 11:37:47 AM
How long did it take you guys to get a reply when you requested shipping? It's been over 24 hours and I've heard nothing.

The only reply I got was a tracking number, which arrived within about 48 hours of sending the "ship it now" request.
18  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BitBurner Fury ~50GH/s IN STOCK 499€ on: October 31, 2013, 04:31:38 PM

I recently got the refund on your hashrate guarantee from my previous order. Anyway to apply those paypal funds to another board?

We do not work with PayPal anymore.

OK thanks for the reply.

I hope you also replaced the through-hole soldering guy you had for the last batch...  Smiley

Shep80 and I have agreed to a deal where I am purchasing his 3 Klondike K16's for a total of 1.5btc shipped

Correct. 3 NIB Klondike K16s for 1.5BTC with USPS shipping included.
