Please add better optimization for Ryzen CPUs.
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Salvage old Antminer S3+? on: September 03, 2016, 09:38:11 AM
I have some old Antminer S3+ which I haven't used for a while. They are just taking space and I'm looking to throw them away. Before I do so, is there anything worth salvaging? The fans maybe?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v3.2 on: April 23, 2016, 01:41:51 PM
@Claymore
As soon as you implement solo mining support I will transfer my miningfarm over to your miner.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v2.0 on: April 16, 2016, 08:28:24 PM
v2.0:

- Added Stratum support for Decred.
- Added "-esm 2" option for "miner-proxy" Stratum version - for such pools like coinotron, coinmine, etc.
- Default "-dbg" value is "0" now, log file is created by default. You can disable it with "-dbg -1" option.
- If GPU thread hangs and its speed is not updated, miner shows zero speed for that card.
- Added "-wd" option.
- Added "-r" option.
- Additional checks related to DAG files: checking disc space, removing invalid DAG files.
- Bug fixes.

Thank you for the update, impressive work! Any plans of what to do for the next update?
Also, does it delete old DAG files when generating new ones?

EDIT: Btw, how much fees are you collecting, i.e, how much hashing power is generated from your miner in total?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v1.2 on: April 14, 2016, 09:54:06 AM
Please add support for solo mining.
6  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info wallet negative balance? on: October 04, 2015, 05:36:51 PM
Something very strange happened today. blockchain.info let me send 1.48 BTC when I only had 0.6.  I had a incoming transaction of 1 BTC. For some reason it made the sending transaction twice (received and sent BTC in the same block) and it is displayed as unconfirmed and my balance is negative.

screenshot:

Can I remove the unconfirmed transaction? Why did it send twice?

It did not send it twice, but the transaction you send (A) was modified along the way by a node. This create transaction B that spends the same coins and sends them to the same address as A, but has a different transaction ID. This is called a "malleabiltiy attack" and can be fixed by contacting blockchain.infos support. Only A or B can confirm never both.

I see. So there is someone doing this on purpose? For what reason?

8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Control S3 miners remotely ? on: May 09, 2015, 02:59:51 PM
During the summer I will be living in a remote location. I want to access the miners remotely to restart them and change pool data etc. Would that be possible with a Rasberry Pi?

Also, how big is the risk of fire? I'm not sure if I'm confortable leaving the miners on for 3 months without surveillance. Are the S3s stable enough?
9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S3+, suddenly a hashing board stops on: January 05, 2015, 02:36:39 PM
Alright, I just got home and both miners that were clocked to 250 had their 2nd chain filled with XXXXXX XXXXXX while the top one is working fine. Another one says 0 GH/s but the temp is telling otherwise, the chip indicator is also saying everything is fine. Another intressting thing is that the elapsed time differs on all of them, from 8 days to all the way down to 4 hours? Does that mean the miners have a built in restart?

Also, doing a software reset(using the network interface) won't start the "broken" chain. I need to switch off and on the power. I can't do that remotely... so what is causing all these strange things?

Another board stopped today. Down to 2.6GH
11  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S3+, suddenly a hashing board stops on: December 31, 2014, 09:26:48 AM
It looks like I'm down even two more boards... down to 2.8GH (from over 3.8 ). I will be home January 5th. Then I will be able to see closer on what is going on.
12  Bitcoin / Mining support / S3+, suddenly a hashing board stops on: December 30, 2014, 05:52:03 PM

I can feel how one hash-chain is cold while the other one is working fine. When I login to the GUI I can only see one hasing board with 0s.
This has happened a few times before. The only way to fix it is to restart the PSU.

I´ve been gone for 2 weeks and when I checked the hashrate on my pool I could see that some hasing boards have stopped working, and one even powered back on??

The PSU I´m using is  Corsair RM-1000W (one PSU -> 2 miners)
This has happened with the stock firmware and also with the latest firmware.

I´m running all my S3+ B11 overclocked... maybe that is the problem?
13  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S3+ (BM1382) Overclocking with voltage setting on: December 24, 2014, 11:45:43 AM
I found another sweet spot for my / the S3+ at a frequency of 275 and a voltage setting of 0815. I had to change the timeout from the suggested 15 to 14 to reduce the HW errors and having run it overnight, it looked good. I've had to power cycle the rig (as I did not do that yesterday) and currently re-running the setting, but looks good thus far! (also updated the OP on the OC thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=750220)

Amazing thread with amazing results!! I can't wait to get home to try out voltage OCi g my S3+ miners.

I paid 25% (Sweden) + some administration fee. That is 25% of cost of miners AND SHIPPING!

17  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I found a block !!! on: November 18, 2014, 07:04:48 PM
I have never mined but this must have been exciting, like finding treasure, how much did you made exactly?

Since I was mining with a pool, the block with the 25 BTC got split and shared between all the miners.

So how many of that 25 BTC did you get in result? How many people were in that pool anyway? Was it worth it?

You get paid for how much work you have put in, with my mining speed I'm earning just about 0.05 BTC every day. You don't get anything special for finding the block, atleast not with this pool. Ghash.io.

Congrats for finding a block! But you have to think about changing pool .. Ghash.io is one big lottery  Wink

Absolutely, I will just get it confirmed with the next difficulty update. I will probably switch to eligius mining pool.

19  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Payouts from Ghash.io less than predicted? on: November 16, 2014, 07:50:43 PM
I have all my Antminer S3+ mining on ghash.io, I've also noticed that I'm getting less than the calculators are saying I should get. I will give it a few more days to get it confirmed.
20  Bitcoin / Mining / I found a block !!! on: November 16, 2014, 06:56:58 PM
Unfortunately I was pool mining...

Note that I did not receive anything extra for finding it!

But still! One of my Antminer S3+ found a block shortly after I restarted them.

Has anyone else found one?

EDIT: I've switch to eligius.st pool.
