4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for way to display Poloniex ticker out of browser; Widget? on: September 02, 2016, 03:21:22 AM
I am wanting to take the Poloniex ticker; (I prefer the EXACT way it is setup now, with favorites, and search, etc..) and have it in a 3rd party view, Out of the whole browser, and have it like a desktop widget, or moveable box the same size it displays in browser.... I tried doing it with python but i never used python much, Im still learning it really. Does anyone know the best way to do this? OR if there is a way or Add On that could help??

it is not called widget, if you mean one of those things you place on your desktop (sidebar) they are called gadgets.

for outside of a browser ticker you need to know a programming language. and there are some free bots available open source for many different stuff that you can use.

also in the poloniex API page on top of the page there are links to the wrappers that you can use for this purpose (i think there are python, php and another language that i can't remember)

for creating a windows gadget you need to know html (the gadget is like a IE window) and if you google create a desktop gadget you find a good msdn article about it.

Thanks for the ideas, I am going to look it up and Try my best! If i can be successful I will defiantly share it for anyone who wants it. That is IF at the moment haha!

10  Economy / Goods / Would anyone buy an Apple TV 2 w/Silver Remote and power cord? on: August 19, 2016, 12:10:41 PM
I have an Apple TV2 laying around I do not use, and I would really like to sell it for BitCoin; otherwise in my opinion it really is not worth selling it to me. I have a Black AppleTV 2 with the Silver remote and the power cord. It works just fine. As of right now it is NOT jailbroken, but its on Firmware 5.3. I have never sold on here before, So i am testing the waters. I do not know how the selling procedure on here works, escrows or fees or anything like that. But If someone is interrested just fill me in on how the process works. I also have a New Slim XBOX 360 console only, with no HardDrive, just the Power Supply is included. I can provide video and photographic proof the items work also.

12  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Best ways to complete acquiring the final 90% my goal of 1 BTC? on: August 07, 2016, 04:04:36 PM
I have the cash to buy 1 Bitcoin, But unless I can turn that into about 2 or 5 Bitcoins easily, Im not sure how worth it  that it would be buying that first one at $600. If it was 5 years ago and I could get the first bit coin for under $100, then waiting knowing it would go upto $700 then that would be profitable. I do have money set aside to invest also to help, But The problem is finding a method where I can make profit from bitcoin to begin with. If there was a way, I would buy that 1 BTC if i knew i could grow it, not just risk loosing it by bad trades or something...
13  Economy / Marketplace / Best ways to complete acquiring the final 90% my goal of 1 BTC? on: July 29, 2016, 11:29:26 AM
I just got back into Bitcoin recently, and Out of pure boredom and and sheer entertainment I started collecting from faucets. I used these faucets, everyone I could find for about 2 months straight every day. I then Singled out about 5 of them and dumped the rest. The ones I kept can bring me about 20k Satoshi a piece a week. I also use a few apps on my android that claim very nicely, especially when they don't have captcha, they use 5-30 second videos, so and I have set up Tasker profiles that collecting them for me automatically at each claim time. This surprisingly has done very well for me. I got it down to last month alone using minimal faucets and apps to bring me in .01 easily.
So I have used about 3 months of insane faucet collecting to start the main .02 BTC I used to start and learn how to trade with. I managed to Buy low enough and sell high enough I earned my way up to about .04 in my first week in trading. I then Learned about margin trading, How you can short, and even go long. So i did that with BTC until i hit about .07ish. (margin trading turns out to not be such a strong point for myself.) Well then I moved my BTC over to Poloniex where I could trade some cheaper coins. I figured if the price of the coins were lower, I would own more volume of them, so Day trading should render out where I would either make significantly more, or lose significantly more. That was correct. I used ETH To make a lot of profit (remember A LOT of profit to me is probably nothing to some of you guys; im still on a low beginner level). Well After the Hard Fork, ETH beat me up a few times in some margin trades gone bad, So right about now I have landed myself with about .1 BTC in the exchange to trade with, and a few random wallets collecting on my same faucet strategy i was previously using.

I am at a halt right now, with ALTs top markets going the way they are going, that unless I catch a pump and dump and right time I have been using alot more caution then before trading with my entire volume or maxed out leverages. I got this far without spending any of my own money, and profiting purely off time i would be doing nothing anyways in. So to me im 100% up with just a lot of hard work.

My question is, what can I do to earn more, I want to hit my first, (and only) goal at the moment, and that is to earn 1 full Bitcoin. I am still learning what i can on trading, but im no expert, I was thinking about selling items on a bitcoin as payment market to gain some more towards my goal. I am curious as to what else I can do to earn a passive BTC income. Things people have found that return a revenue stream that is at least worth it. Like by doing nothing, and having advertising on social media or signatures, or ANYTHING really. I have heard of so many ways people just invested here or there and returned profit, or they just do this or that, which they'd be doing anyways and are earning for it.
I considered a trading Bot at once, but i saw stories how Bots are no good and will loose overall. So I am asking people who have been out in the scene longer then me, What is going to work and what isn't? Should I stick to trading and just try to find a mentor and keep teaching myself, Would that be the best way to utalize the many souces of bitcoin profit or what?

I will do just about anything. Small jobs my computer skills allow for, or perform stupid tasks like watching videos or something if the payout is atleast worth it. I prefer a minimal loss solution but, sometimes you have to take a risk if you want the reward!
14  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what is your experience at CEX.io ? on: July 29, 2016, 06:49:30 AM
I started on CEX.io not too long ago. It is the only/easiest exchange i could use to get my USD turned into BTC. I am able to send from PayPal > PayPal PrePaid MasterCard > CEX.io for 3.5% i believe. If i ass $20 USD in to CEX.io It only cost me about $21.50 (give or take) but thats a rough example. I started with $20 with at the time was about .02 BTC and with CEX.io I was able to "Buy and Sell" Trade upto about .04, then I Started margin trading Bitcoin on there and got to about .06 BTC (all within a month, for a brand new beginner) Then I went BTC to LTC and arbitraged the LTC to BTC-e when it was profitable at any given day or time, and then bought back to bitcoin, and Sent it from BTC-e to Poloniex. My main trading place now. Its easier to make money (or lose) on smaller valued Alt Coins, with more market movement.

I cannot use Tether.io for other Exchanges, so really my only way to buy BTC is throught CEX.io....
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for an eBay alternative selling site or payment conversion to Bitcoin. on: July 29, 2016, 06:08:46 AM
Well, what I sell on ebay I want to keep selling on eBay. They have a certain large clientele for what I sell, I am able to successfully turn my every $2.99-$5.99 initial investment and sell that item (Depending on item variation and if its a Single or Set) for a consistent $64-$100, Which I do with about 10 sets every two weeks. But I have some random odds and ends items I would like to turn into bitcoin.

How does selling on here work? A 3rd party escrow + a trust rating? and anyone can sell on there?
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking for an eBay alternative selling site or payment conversion to Bitcoin. on: July 28, 2016, 05:29:29 PM
Hello everyone. I currently sell on eBay and receive paypal as my checkout method. I am looking for a website selling service for legal goods, mostly random common items, but I'm wanting to start receiving bitcoin as payment directly. I can only find minimal results and I am not informed on these results so I wanted to ask a community of users, what websites like this do you have in mind or suggest?

I also have a 2nd part to this question about if there are any checkout or payment methods that can take a non-bitcoin users PayPal or CC, or similar and easily for the purchaser of course, automatically convert it into bitcoin ?
