1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WORST decision about BTC on: August 03, 2016, 07:37:56 AM
My worst decision:

1. Ignoring BTC for a can of soda ~6 years ago Cry
2. Emotional trading (Still catching up on past mistakes)!

4  Other / Off-topic / Re: Save you Bitcoin for your (grand) child / children? on: August 01, 2016, 11:29:20 AM
Interesting! Never thought of saving them for my child/ children.
Barely have enough for myself too Cry

Although it's still a long long time to go, will definitely consider it in my checklist! Wink
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Bitcoin wallets are best to use? on: August 01, 2016, 08:26:24 AM
Surprisingly, no one mentioned Jaxx.io wallet? Roll Eyes
Been using it since it syncs my account/ wallet/ balance across all my devices (Desktop, phone, etc). Liking its portability so far!

Personally also using Multibit HD to store my funds since it does not need to sync the entire Bitcoin chain, user-friendly and works like a charm! Grin
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How man bitcoin wallets do you have and why ? on: August 01, 2016, 08:14:43 AM
Just sharing, personally I am holding a couple of wallets with each serving different purposes:

1. Desktop wallets (Main storage) - Make sure you have your keys or recovery phrase backup properly!
2. Phone wallets - Sync with my Desktop wallets
2. Exchange wallets (Web) - For trading purposes (low amounts only)

And no, it is not necessary to make multiple wallets as a beginner if you're holding a small amount Wink
7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Most profitable trading Platform. on: July 31, 2016, 04:38:49 PM
My favorite:

1. Poloniex (user-friendly)
2. Bittrex

Not sure if there is any "most" profitable trading platform, would like to know too! Cheesy
Unless you're referring to arbitrage Roll Eyes

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ETH or ETC on: July 31, 2016, 01:37:12 PM
My friend mines ETC on nanopool, 0% rejection

Second this, been mining ETC on nanopool since the addition. Been stable so far with low to 0% rejection. Wink

I am in Europe and use the EU pool. The ping time is about 40ms. But the rejection rate is more than 20%.

I am not too sure thou. I am mining at their Asia pool. Also they seem to have some issues with EU1 server (source: their twitter update).
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you losing money because trollbox? on: July 31, 2016, 01:04:00 PM
Nope, as the name implies, it's meant for trolling?

Always do my own due diligence, but sometimes I do get distracted and emotionally fiddled by them thou, especially the recent ETC ride Undecided
11  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cloudmining on bitcause.org on: July 31, 2016, 12:38:07 PM
Red flags:
- Any proof of mining to justify your transparency and real miners?
- Only an address for contact information?
- Why do you even have Google ads (AdSense) on your site? Doesn't look professional imo.

I do see you have your own mining pools set up, no miners on them thou. Huh

Since you claimed to have real miners, can I rent them to mine on other pool? Roll Eyes
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good idea to buy bitcoins now? on: July 31, 2016, 11:58:17 AM
The price of the bitcoin is dropping at the moment. It might be a good idea to wait for a few days before buying.

May I know what are the plausible triggers for the price dip?  Huh
13  Economy / Services / Re: Need to writer for my project on: July 31, 2016, 11:07:48 AM

14  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org forum on: July 31, 2016, 10:31:24 AM
Came across this forum when I was searching for information about Bitcoin and altcoins mining (algorithms, software used, etc).

Been lurking around for sometime mainly for knowledge-seeking and altcoins development, so decided to join up today! Cheesy
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online games! on: July 31, 2016, 10:15:16 AM
Both Valve and Blizzard franchises! Grin

To my surprise, no Overwatch love here? Tongue
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: what email domain do you use on: July 31, 2016, 09:38:42 AM
I prefer security over catchy email address. And that is why I only use Outlook and Gmail.

If you're into security, encryption and privacy, maybe have a look at protonmail.ch?

Personally using protonmail and of course, the mighty Gmail Grin
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: [ EXPLAINED ] How to download pokemon GO anywhere ! on: July 31, 2016, 09:27:10 AM
Not sure about this, but even if you manage to download and install from third party sources, wouldn't the region-lock thingy lock you out from any pokemons?

Unless you're into GPS spoofing, then Roll Eyes
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some of your favorite PC games? on: July 31, 2016, 09:18:27 AM
Witcher series! The feeling of "not sure if I've beaten the game, or the game has beaten me"  Undecided

Also a fan of Blizzard franchises and OSU! Wink

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Last Time You Bought A GPU... on: July 31, 2016, 09:07:47 AM
Asus Strix GTX 970, about a year ago from a close friend!

Serving well so far, in terms of mining (hobby) as well as 1080p gaming Cool
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Classic Mining 101 : Step By Step Guide, Tutorials, and other Info on: July 31, 2016, 08:59:51 AM
Assuming you're the site owner (based on your handle), instead of listing 2 mining gears, maybe you can improve the section with more choices/ selection of supported GPUs?

Like compare and contrast their TDP, MH/s, rate of ROI, etc. for mining ETC, at least newcomers will know what to expect should they intend to invest on those gears! Wink

Great site btw!
