1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: April 30, 2017, 01:35:35 PM
"we are buying a physical gold to backing all exsisting Xaurums...and than normaly gold backing pushing the price up."

No, there isn't an automatic equalizer- there have been times when there has been a three cent difference between xaur price on exchanges and xaur production price. Also, the price on c-cex is sometimes 3 cents lower than the highest exchange.

With these 3 cent differences it's only a matter of time before a program is made to buy xaur from the cheapest exchange in order to sell on a different exchange and that creates artificial trade volumes- you can't claim the marketing is working when machines are doing the buying and selling.

I'd like the dev's to enquire as to who is buying xaur right now so that if required, an alteration can be made in order to steer in the right direction.

New Xaurum price history chart here: http://imgur.com/a/7n3Mx
The only way is up!

Yeah but if you look at the price in relation to a bunch of other cryptos in the top 50, they too have increased over the last 3 months. In fact, dogecoin which has no gold backing and is growing by a few billion coins every year has tripled in value in the same period.

The reason doge has increased is because of Chinese, Indian and Japanese investors- I reckon that if you could find out who is buying the xaurum, you'd find it's the same people in Asia who are pushing the price up on other crypto.

Maybe the dev's can ask the exchanges where the buyers of xaur are coming from before patting themselves on the back for the price rise

Only thing that worries me, spelling on the website.  Roll Eyes  Just bought a bit.  Happy to. Siaynoq.

yes, the English in some of the explanations is mangled as well.

The dev's need to stop using the term 'melt' because it just confuses things when actual gold is being held. When we talk about mining in crypto all know that mining is a metaphor but when dealing with actual gold and talking about 'melting it', it just confuses people.

Language has to convey meaning- jargon isn't good communicating because it's designed to make newbs feel stupid.

I see that coinmarketcap just swapped the black square xaurum symbol for a large X.

Is the large X new branding?

We're still waiting to learn why and how the dev's can't abscond with the gold.

A deposit slip from a bank/vault is not a legal guarantee that funds are protected.

Heck, ryan kennedy reeked havoc on the bitcoin and dogecoin etc communities because he simply stole everything and there wasn't a legal mechanism in place to prevent him from doing so- he was arrested on rape, not on the theft of bitcoins from moolah when moolah imploded from him stealing the money.

All you're telling me is 'xaurum is backed by gold' and that's simply not enough.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: February 24, 2017, 02:39:58 AM
The pattern that has emerged is that whenever bitcoin hits a new hundred dollar incremental rise of $1100 or $1200, the chinese government then issues a warning to the chinese exchanges and the chinese bitcoin markets then dive and xaurum follows.

So, will it be the $1200 bitcoin level or the higher $1300 level that alerts the chinese government?

Let's watch and see.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: February 10, 2017, 05:36:06 AM
Once again xaurum is pulled down by bitcoin which is pulled down by the chinese government not liking margin trading.

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-bitcoin-idUSKBN15O1CR

The goal here should be to decouple xaur from crypto. In other words to make xaurum a commodity token or a gold token instead of just another crypto.

I sold my meager $700 worth of xaur for a little over 10 cents each and I haven't bought them back because there's no change happening here.
Right now it's all 'let's see what happens when poloniex lists xaur' or 'let's see if the oil rich arabs will buy it and push the price up'.

Needs to be a fundamental change in direction- xaur needs to be a credible investment for all. Needs to be greater transparency and a government backed regulation of some sort that would see the developers jailed for absconding with the gold. Right now there's no regulation that would see the dev's punished for withdrawing the gold.

If there's no regulation and no enforceable punishments for fraud then why would a farmer or even a billionaire invest in xaurum?

Time for change.

xaurum is floundering. Nobody new is buying in.

Need a new strategy for marketing purposes asap.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: January 24, 2017, 12:29:03 AM
I sold my 7,000 xaurum last week at around 10.2 cents each... I'll buy them back when they drop to 7.4 cents each.

Hmm, when poloniex agrees to list xaurum there will be a price jump as investors race to get in before all the day traders of poloniex do.

But right now, there's a ceiling of 11.6 cents that xaur cannot break through.

This:

http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/business/markets/automated-traders-take-over-bitcoin-as-easy-money-beckons-20170117-gtt4vw.html

The price dips occur for myriad reasons but the machines, they just keep on trading and the rest of the crypto's get pulled or pushed by bitcoin's gravity.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: January 12, 2017, 07:24:20 AM
Turns out the bitcoin price drop is due to Chinese government visiting the exchanges in a bid to control money flowing overseas from China. The price of Bitcoin is gonna keep falling as the Chinese bail from crypto...
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: January 08, 2017, 07:33:25 AM
"If you are giving such claims (something needs to change), it would be appropriate to tell some solutions or improvements. without it, those are just empty worthless words written here."

1) Okay, for starters there needs to be some better worded English language press releases about the structure of Xaurum.

It doesn't worry me that the dev's first language isn't English but it does worry me that the English is being mangled in the start up phase when it needs to be exact- it needs to be written in a manner that all can understand and is not hidden behind crypto jargon. This is to entice newbs.

2) Second point is that there is no marketing/communicating of Xaurum to the investment sector. We need people selling Xaurum to the rich who seek investment advice and are willing to pay for investment advice.

That means the dev's need to figure out how a financial planner can get a financial cut when they 'sell xaurum' to investors. Financial planners are like insurance brokers or mortgage brokers in that they take a slice for themselves. We want rich Italians, Russians etc buying a few thousand dollars worth of xaurum in their investment portfolio.
Ideally, long term investors are better for price stability than Chinese speculators.

That's plenty for now.

# Xaurum is different because of the gold backing yet it isn't being pushed for that difference- waiting for poloniex to rescue it, cannot be the pinnacle of the xaurum plan.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: January 07, 2017, 11:43:07 AM
Your posting makes no sense. Xaurum is not 100% backed by gold and it will never be. It has its golden backing behind of it and it can only go up. The backing can never drop. But bigger the difference between golden and production price, faster the backing. The gold behind of xaurum is meant for knowing where the worst case scenario is and for measuring events that are happening on xaurum network. You can do the calculation how much the gold increased because of all transactions, mints, minings.

I suggest you to do the deeper study of the project because when you will understand it, you will fall in love with it. Do not feel odd if you will need a few weeks to really understand it, because even I needed this, even though I know devs in person. If you need any help let me know.

Yeah, I know that there isn't anywhere near $80mn worth of gold in the current bullion holdings. My point however is that the current gold backing and even the promise of further increase in gold holdings is not making any difference in the way people perceive it as being different from other crypto.

See, with gold bonds, their value only massively drops when governments interfere with them.

A gold bond is backed with hard bullion in a vault and therefore it doesn't drop when regular bonds drop in price.

This last 2 weeks has seen some big volatility in xaurum's price- it's dropped by around 40% twice in 4 weeks.

Anyway, I don't really mind if the dev's want to censor me for saying what I'm saying so let me be perfectly clear here: Nothing is making xaur a safer crypto for investors or a more desirable crypto and something needs to change.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: January 07, 2017, 01:51:19 AM
"What an idiotic thinking. Everything has supply and demand, therefore the price is going up or down. If something is "measured" in something volatile, do you really expect that the golden backing would stop the down fall? Everything lower more than 20% than production price is literally free. Why? The beauty of production price and golden backed currency is that is has NO inflation if the market shows that it does not need it, but when the market shows that it does need it than the mint (and new golden dividends for everyone) is done. Go buy shitcoins instead Wink "

No. Gold is a global standard and rarely drops in value in such large measure. It dropped 20.5% for a day back in the 1980's and dropped by 9% in a day in 2013.

The point of xaurum is that it is a crypto that is backed by the gold standard instead of being backed by hype.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: January 06, 2017, 10:08:11 AM
current price is a bit overvalued.

Really?

XAURUM PRODUCTION PRICE
0.1202$

Rules
1. Production price can only increase.

2. Production price is set at every Coinage.

3. Production price is used as an empirical variable of the Coinage equation.

4. New Production price is set at exchange price of XAUR at the time of the Coinage. When the exchange price is greater than the previous Production price, Coinage is possible.
5. Production price is denominated in USD.

http://xaurum.org/production_price.html

Yeah, I figured it was undervalued. I'd buy more but I'm not set up with the exchanges to transfer funds in and out. So right now I'm buying like $15 a day of bitcoin via wesellcrypto and then transfering that bitcoin fraction to an exchange and then buying xaur with it. It's a slow and frustrating way to do it but then again, saving is a good habit to get into.

The question now is How can we raise awareness that xaurum is backed by hard gold bullion?

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum [XAUR] on: January 06, 2017, 06:16:23 AM
sigh

I'm looking at coinmarketcap.com and I'm seeing only 8 out of 100 crypto's that is in the green and the rest are in the red thanks to bitcoin dropping like a stone, which is apparently due to the Chinese yuan fluctuation.

See, that means xaurum is just another speculative crypto at the moment when the whole point of being backed by gold was that it was underpinned by a real commodity and therefore wasn't a speculative crypto.

Obviously, the point of being or having a gold reserve is not being disseminated as it should be.  Embarrassed

If people comprehended that xaurum had a gold base then xaurum would have risen today.

Can someone explain to me why worldcoinindex has xaurum valued at being one tenth of a US cent ? Huh

https://www.worldcoinindex.com/coin/xaurum

See, they've got XAURUM AT $0.0013 when it should be $0.10 or $0.11

Coinmarketcap has the pricing correct at $0.10

Well, it's about time for all the additional marketing and promotional tools to become available.

Is it alright to use the xaurum logo on decals ?
Also xaur logo gifs ?

If businesses want to accept xaur, is there any info available to them?

xaur is in a price free fall and is in danger of disappearing up its own arse if this keeps up- over 13% drop in one day... the only way to stop the price drop is to have xaur listed on more exchanges.

What's the word with poloniex?

I saw that Poloniex announced they are de-listing about 27 different coins but no announcement to list new coins  Huh

A man walks into a bar and says 'I'd like ten ripples please' so the bar tender calls to his fat assistant down in the cellar to come up, at which the fatty proceeds to take off his shirt in front of the customer and wobble his rippling man boobs ten times. 'That'll be one cent' says the bar tender.

Next thing another man walks into the bar and says 'I'll have five ethereums thanks' so the bar tender grabs five napkins and shoves each one down his pants and rubs his balls with them. He puts the stinking napkins on the counter and says 'That'll be fifty five dollars'

Then another man walks in and says 'I don't want any of that muck- I'll have twenty ethereum classics thanks' so the bar tender drops his pants and pulls his bum cheeks apart twenty times, revealing his chocolate starfish with each spread. 'That's twenty six dollars please' the bar tender replies.

The bar seems quite full and then out of nowhere a nerdy looking male wearing an atari t-shirt and google glass approaches the counter. 'I hear that Xaurum is backed by gold... I've sold my original apple 1 computer and can afford about a hundred thousand dollars worth'. The bar tender scratches his chin, looks at the geek like he's a fool and replies 'This is a bar you idiot, we don't sell crypto-currency.'
