Kano--

I'm gettin' my hands dirty diggin' coin over at your pool at the rate of 18Th/s   Grin

Thanks for the info guys.  As I said earlier, I am looking for an alternative, but everywhere I go I am mining much less than I was at Antpool.  I am mining at kano's right now, but not looking forward to the expected wait to crack a block to see what I think.  Since kano is sharing transaction fees, how much have the miners been getting per block?  Or another way, how much has a Terahash been earning?

Just a follow-up, Antpool is working for me again.  I'm sure you all are happy... Shocked

I have been looking for an alternative to Antpool as you all suggested, but I am mining BTC cash right now, and I don't see anything for that.  I have used Slush way back in the day (with my sapphire 6880s!) and they were steady.  I am also mining scrypt multi-pool at mining-dutch but that doesn't seem to pay as well as I expected.  I get more from LTC at Antpool.

I'm not all lucky.  Let me tell you about my Friedcat investments.. Cheesy.  Or how much I paid for a D3 miner.   Win some, lose some.

I am not able to use Antpool, whether I try with my S9, S7, or L3+.  I am mining just fine elsewhere though.  I have never had this problem before.  Weird.

Sorry to break-up this little exchange with an unrelated issue, but does anyone know of a reliable way to contact friedcat?  I owned a small number of shares of ASICminer through burnside that were transferred over to direct shares with the friedcat.  Everything is working fine for me now as far as dividends coming in, but in the future I may want to sell some shares or change the address or who knows what.  I needed to contact him a while back and tried to message him through the forum and he never responded, but I figured it out on my own.  I dropped it because I know he is busy (I hope he is busy!)  I don't even know how I claim ownership of the shares.  Is it my wallet address?  I would prefer to have my shares linked to my e-mail address.  Has anyone done this?

I guess this is a long-winded way of saying I miss BTC-TC and the convenience.  Thanks for any help!

I believe bi-weekly means once every two weeks.  If it were going to be twice per week that would be semi-weekly.  Sorry for bringing it up, though.   Undecided

Burnside--

I did have a backup of my data and I got my new hard drive up and running today.  I had the backup, but no experience with using it.  Like most of the Bitcoin world I was impressed at how easy it was to get my wallet back.  I hope everyone has a backup of their wallet!  I was fortunate to have a few extra computers around, (former mining rigs, but you knew that;), so I was able to practice restoring a wallet with a small amount of BTC.

I did send a message to friedcat asking him to change my dividend address and he didn't respond.  It doesn't matter to me now because I am still getting my dividends at my restored wallet.  I know the guy is busy, but I hope he has some minions around who can get something going similar to BTCt-co.  I liked your service and I was disappointed to see it go.  Thanks again for your help!

Burnside, et. al.--

My harddrive has blown up on my computer where I receive my dividends from FriedCat and I am wanting to change the address where he sends the dividends.  Does anyone know how to do this?  If I send him an e-mail how do I identify myself with my shares?

I didn't do anything on the site shutdown so I assume my pass-through shares have gone over to the cat, since I have continued to get dividends.

Thanks for any help!
10  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 17, 2013, 04:52:38 PM
Arklan-

Is it too late for me to order up a matching unit for the measly one I ordered the first go around?

I just noticed this thread was going again.

Thanks.

This is causing me problems, since I am trying to get my coins out of my wallet, but it doesn't work right now.  It started to re-index, but hangs at about 12 days ago.  I am using v0.8.1

Question for Arklan-

You mentioned you have had to replace 5 units.  Were these dead on arrival or did they fail from use?  I am hoping they were DOA, and my working one is not at risk.  Thanks.

Got my USB miner in the mail today and I have it up and running with bfgminer 3.0.2.  Thanks Arklan! Cheesy

You should also consider a USB miner from ASICMINER.  There are probably some group buys going on right now.  300MH/s for 2.1 BTC.  Maybe not the least expensive way to get in, but if your electricity is expensive it may be your best shot at getting ahead.  Of course, you have to buy BTC to mine BTC.   Roll Eyes

Well, I didn't want to be a wet blanket, but I don't really see the point of transferring the BTC to John.  I understand him being the point man on the due diligence of arklan, but since we will be trusting arklan with 100k of gear, why wouldn't we trust him with 100k of BTC?  I'm not complaining about anyone involved or their fees, I am just trying to find a way to make it more convenient for everyone.

I was also thinking if I were FriedCat and had intentions of continued retail in the US, I would hire a trusted individual in the US to do the resale.  Isn't that how everything else gets done?  You have the benefit of drop-shipping pallets of miners, and rapid deliveries of orders.  Of course, If I were FriedCat, I would probably be on the beach by now, being served drinks by supermodels.

My last dividend e-mail from BTC-TC came in Wednesday at noon.  (PST).  Just an announcement from them letting you know you just got paid!   Grin

Ok, I'll just throw some satoshis on as a "gratuity".  It will be my penalty for being order number 301  Grin

It will be nice to have the spreadsheet finalized and then we can see who the "holdouts" are.

I am just waiting to figure out how to sign a message.  It would be easier for me to just put my spreadsheet order number at the end of my transaction.  e.g. BTC 2.101300XX

I was also hoping John would show up and confirm the transactions are coming in like he wants.

Don't leave me out.  I would like to order 1.

I can't guess the future, but where it is right now I am using 1200 watts non-stop and paying 7.5 cents a kWH.  This works out to U$D 2.25 a day.  The price is going for around 70 dollars a coin and I am getting .12 BTC per day at BTC guild.  So that is nearly 8 dollars a day on 2.25 in electricity.  I expect the difficulty to continue increasing and if the price stays where it is I will probably be throttling back when the summer heat hits in 2-3 months.

I might look into LTC, but it sounds like it needs even more electricity than BTC.  I think ASICs are the future, but we need more competition if bitcoin is going to stay widely dispersed.
