1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for feedback on “Bitcoin Apple Pay for gambling in browser” on: April 24, 2019, 05:30:15 AM
That is amazing, I wasn't aware that bitcointalk is such an active community! Thanks for comments!
Okay, lets go through them one by one.

I dont think people/gambler in general will be interested in this service. The 5 mentioned issues are basically the most common issues in gambling but can be solved by ourselves by contacting the support of the site where we play (withdrawals related issue).

Yeah, and that is the point of conversation I would like to have - would people be willing to try new product / switch from old one, or this problems has been already solved at level that people seems to be satisfied. I might be totally wrong here, and probably it depends on situation and problem, but my general thinking process was that if person has problem, then he/she will be willing to invest time in solving this problem: either by searching for solution, or by sharing all knowledge with person who might solve this problem. If people are not willing to talk about this, then I guess they are satisfied with current situation, or have found appropriate solution, and I should focus on something else  Roll Eyes

I am curious about the product, seriously especially you say that looking for people who have a problem you mention. That is why I think you need to tell more details in here, so we are not guessing.

I would really love to, but the point of not showing product was made in order to avoid bias during conversation - if people know what your product is doing, then they are psychologically tend to say what you want, because they know you already invested your time, and don't really want to disappoint you, if product is bad Grin

But I think people can solve their problem in gambling because they can find recommended gambling website which doesn't have with all of the issues you said.

Oh, cool, I wasn't aware that such solutions exist. Could I ask for a link?

At present there is no website allows you to gamble without registering, earlier directbet gave the access to gamble without registration. From my view what you try to say seems to be of developing a gambling website same as directbet.

Hmm, I am pretty sure that I know one or two, without registration. Basically you have gambling session while you are on the page, and the idea is that withdrawal and deposit process is fast enough for you to have a pleasant experience.

How are you going to do this OP? are you doing some blackhat method or something? Or are you gonna refer them to other gambling sites that don't require KYC for withdrawals like in Stake.com?

So, to be honest, I don't know how to solve it yet, but I would love to gather more information, and think about solution. Hope it is okay, to do like that.

i realize that once in a while there's a new message on the app. i thought it's a bit annoying tbh, i'd prefer to start sending the message if i have trouble instead of being messaged daily about support.

Written down your feedback, thanks! What exactly is annoying, the badge? Because support itself is not pops up as far as I understand.

Hey, I am working on product and looking for people who have following problems:

  • Gambling platforms delay withdrawal process, and you tempted to play again.
  • You don’t want to go through KYC process.
  • You don’t like to register on gambling platform.
  • You are scared to be banned from online wallet.
  • Funds takes too long time to reach wallet after withdrawal is made.

I am asking for having 15-30 minutes call where I would like talk about this problems.
In exchange I potentially might solve them, someday, in future, if it’s feasible. Seems legit.

If you will have an additional time I will show you how current product works, and looking for honest feedback.

Requirements:
  • You gamble for more than 2-4 month.
  • You deposit and withdraw funds with crypto.
  • You gamble at least once in a month.

No personal information will be required, no recording will be made without your permission. Please schedule call in Calendly, if interested.

Cheers,
Andrey

Go to "Pay" page, and there you will see payment field. You could put lightning invoice, or bitcoin address there.

So, as a User you don't need to worry what type of payment you do, just put data in the pay field, and payment method will be detected automatically.

If I only have LN balance, can I do it too?
I thought the addresses for that field is testnet address like what's generated by zap.

Yep, balance in wallet reflect overall Bitcoin you have, and you should be able to use it for lightning and on-chain (regular) Bitcoin payments.

I wanted to say that you actually could do regular (on-chain) payments right from wallet, without using exchange, also you don't need to have distinct wallet for that.
i got message 'Oops, something went wrong' when to send my LN wallet to my on-chain [segwit], i don't know what happen,
i have 23K sat balance on LN wallet, when i put all of them, not enough balance said. so, i have to pay fee like 12k sat.
then i send 10k sat include fee 12k, they correct to send. when i try to send, i got thet error message.

1. For on-chain payments fee is fixed, so for lower amounts fee might be consider enormously big, better to use LN for small payments.

2. Sorry for that, right now we basically manually re-balance funds from off-chain to on-chain side, closing and opening channels, what happened is that yesterday most of the funds where on off-chain side, so I closed couple of channels today in order to release them, and now you could send on-chain (regular Bitcoin payments) as well. Wallet is in beta, and we don't have proper automation in place yet : / Anyway, if you have any issue, ping me in support, I am monitoring bitcointalk every day, and Intercom support every hour, also other team members might give you an answer in support as well. Also we have a Telegram group where you could ask questions https://t.me/joinchat/BXgOFkTC2ybB95xYXvi6qg.
