Great thread.  I had no clue that the more popular coins have a clear 'purpose' behind them.  It explains why their communities are so large, they have a common goal.  Even Doge serves its purpose with having billions of coins.  The perception of being a millionaire is bought into by the community.  It's incredible to see brand currencies that people identify with.  It's another layer of personality on money.  WoW!

You remind me when I was young and sucked on some titties for the first time. Keep up the excitement but remember this arena is full a fuckin scammers, especially here in this fucked up place called bitxoin talk. Dont trust a sole.

Thank you for this.  I will  Wink

It also is a simple coin with no frills, other than minting, which is not in any way exciting or innovative to the current crypto crowd
Which features and benefits do some other cryptos have that are exciting and innovative?

I am not as informed on this as many others who are in the community.  I know that etherium has smart contracts (application) that they are implementing alongside the block chain.  You can find out more here https://cointelegraph.com/ethereum-for-beginners/what-is-ethereum
As for other coins, I'm not sure.  Huh

A strong password with letters, capitals and numbers is a great asset.  Make sure it is not the same as your email or anything important to you.  Also, trust no one and you will be dandy.

I am a Satoshi, like my father before me...

A day and a half later and I received my btc.  This is my first time using ccex and I hope that this won't be a regular practice.

We have BTC withdrawals instant right after confirmation from e-mail. Must be you did not confirm your withdrawal from the beginning and found out this necessity a bit later. That's why you received your BTC a day and half later.

It was a deposit from my wallet.

You're better off exchanging your local currency for bitcoin.  Faucets give you very little btc for the amount of time you spend.  You also may have earned more at your job in that hour or two.  You can also look into alt coins which can be traded for btc.  You may have better luck getting more from there and converting it on an exchange.

Good luck and remember, Satoshi will be with you, always..

Hey Mary92, and welcome to the forum and bitcoin.  It's great to see someone taking there first steps into this world.  Using btc in your shop will be a great service add when you begin to sell products.  Learn as much as you can and beware of scams.

May Satoshi be with you...

Here is a great tutorial on how to trade on the ccex and yobit exchange http://rimbit.com/documents/.  It was made by the people over at the Rimbit forum (an alt coin).  It is  good place to start as the systems are not quite as simple as one would think.  Trade little bits to get your fingers dirty and then evaluate whether you want to invest more.  Happy trading!!

You can check out the coin telelgragh https://cointelegraph.com/rating/Bitcoin_exchange_forex for a list of alt coin exchanges.

Hey Ktru19, welcome to the forum.

When choosing a (bitcoin) btc wallet it is better to have one that is not on the internet (like blockchain).  You can choose whatever type you want, however make sure that it has good security.
Exchanges come and go.  Stay away from the ones that look like scams or are defunct. (Mt. Goxx, Cryptsy).  If you would like a tutorial on how to trade on them the Rimbit forum has 2 great tutorials on how to trade on ccex and yobit.  Link here: http://rimbit.com/documents/
I haven't purchased from anyone here so I would not be the best person to answer this.
Paypal is not a safe enough method because the transactions can be reversed where bitcoin transactions are final.
Yes, wea re from every continent on the planet earth.  Some may be from pluto... whoops... nobody is supposed to know that Shocked
Stay excited, digital coins are awesome.

If you would like to learn how to trade, this alt coin (alternative coin) rimbit has a few tutorials on how to use the ccex and yobit exchanges.  The link is here http://rimbit.com/documents/ . Trading is all about risk.  If you risk more, you may end up with a greater amount.  Also, understand that there is a difference between day trading and investing.  Investing is buy hold for the long term where day trading is just for the day (or week).  If you feel that btc is outside of your budget, you can check out some of other alt coins like lite coin or doge coin.  They are also traded on exchanges.

Good luck!

This could really change how crypto operates in the next few years, if successful.  It allows for a noncentralized ecosystem to exist where everyone is on equal (close to) ground with an intent of growth for the longterm.  We all know what happens when a group of likeminded individuals come together.

The volume is low because this coin has been incubating outside of exchanges, building its community of non tech minded individuals (unique to rimbit).  It also is a simple coin with no frills, other than minting, which is not in any way exciting or innovative to the current crypto crowd who reside mostly on the side of the fence of tech subject matter experts.  The appeal isn't for them alone, but for the average person (everyone else) who has no need or desire to have tons of things on their blockchain.  They can't quantify that and therefore won't buy into that.  They know fiat, and rimbit is the closest to that.

Hello Support,

How long does it take for for a deposit to be confirmed by your system?  My account says it is waiting on 1 of 2 connections and 0 of 2.  The block chain says  have 91 and 59 confirmation as of now.  It was at least 35 confirmations 10hrs ago.  I look forward to your answer.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I get MANY Bitcoins? on: August 16, 2016, 05:49:07 AM
At this stage in the game it's probably worth using your lemonade stand money and buying some from a broker.  Most brokers usually don't accept paypal or credit card.  There's always the alternative of mining one of btc's base pairs (lte coin) and exchanging it for btc.  Good Luck!

Thanks for this post.  It was very useful and I got a few tip not seen on other threads.

Mining LTE coin may be worth your while as it can be traded for btc on an exchange.  Of course, obtaining money at a cheap rate is not an easy task.
