1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who actually manufactures the ASICs for BFL, Avalon, etc on: April 07, 2013, 06:55:24 AM
What companies (probably China / Taiwan based) do the manufacturing for the ASIC companies? Does anyone know?

I understand you need highly specialized facilities to mass produce a given chip design -- so who are these ASIC companies outsourcing to in order to build their product?

Cheers
Use Panjiva or ImportGenius

Total reports of US Customs shipments coming into the country......
You will figure it out. I did.
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Tracking Update On PrimeAsic on: April 07, 2013, 06:54:07 AM
And that, folks, is how scams work.

Next time maybe you'll listen to what everyone else is saying (or just give me BTC instead, I can assure you I will be much more entertaining and won't promise anything). Wink
Man all I have to say is no risk, no reward..... It's the Wild Wild West man. ... Everyday you mine or buy or trade bitcoin..... Something correct? That's all a scam in its self. You are putting time and energy into something that has no true value. The value is determined like a Wille Mays Rookie Card. Who the hell says it's worth $30K? It;s all imaginary what someone wants to pay for it. And the cold piece is, a Bitcoin is not real. The opportunity is real as of right now. Don't get it wrong. There is some money to be made.
Dude do you really think I care about a few measly pesos? No, It's all part of the game.
I have 7 other miners coming in..... I am in no way worried.
Thanks for your concern and the beg of coin request.
You are right, it is amusing.
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Tracking Update On PrimeAsic on: April 07, 2013, 06:25:04 AM
Yep.... Didnt work.....
Fucking little bitches.
Straight up SCAM..... I will be the first to say, they ruined my mutha fuckin day!
So here is my opinion... I do believe they bought a few Avalons on the first batch and re-cased and took a picture as if they were their own.
I can't explain the 80Gh/s Hashing. Well for whatever its worth, SHIT.... 15BTC down the toilet. Shit happens!
Well just have to wait the real deals to come in.....
Have a good night.

He's in on this scam for sure - we need to get this prick the scammer tag before anyone else loses their coins, I suggest everyone report him to the moderators.
FOr the 1000000th time I sell no machine nor do I advise to buy ntill I POST WORKING TRACKING!
Hellooooooo.
Sounds like part of the scam?
Did you not see the email I showed with the tracking from them?
Duhhhh
Cant fake it man.
Thanks for making me look like an idiot.
Dork

You are definitely part of the scam (either wittingly or unwittingly).

If wittingly, I believe the term is sockpuppet - you are part of the scam but pretending to be just another person, a happy customer.

Either way,, your continued insistence that it may be real gives hope to others and encourages them to jump on board "just in case".  By now you should know if the tracking number is real or not, and would be able to see your package in transit.  But even if there is a package in transit to you, given all else that has come before, nothing short of an unboxing video followed by a live hashing demonstration would convince anyone this was not a scam.

Which reiterates the question I already asked earlier - if these units are real and ready to ship, a live demonstration of their hashing power, either on live or testnet, should be trivial to perform.  That it hasn't is just another indicator that you've been had.  And if you're not a sockpuppet, then I feel bad for you.  On the plus side, bitcoin is still young, so you can learn and move on much better than if we were at BTC1 = US$10k, right?

No don't feel bad. See any BTC spent by me is 100% profit from buying at about $35 and selling at about $89.
I really am not concerned loosing that at all. I have shown in other posts where I have an email from with tracking. That's it. I have others I know who bought first then I did. I mean hey the YouTube video above shows them working correct? If it is a scam the. I lost $1500, ohhhhh who cares?? My concern is the 30k I have butterfly for the big rig. Avalon has not replies to a support ticket or multiple email I have sent them. This whole rig business is not being handled well at all. So can you call Avalon a scam? BFL a scam? Now the real fucked up thing would be if they use me as a patsy and send me one, I do all this cool shit showing it works if I get it, unboxing and all that. Then people trust just off of sending one then they tip everyone off. That would suck. That is why I advise for everyone not to buy based off of what I am doing. I'm my own man. I'm just sharing the adventure. That's it. I sell coats man... Here this is me......
http://www.sfgate.com/style/article/Old-S-F-s-Derby-jackets-reborn-in-new-shop-4138687.php
Can't fake that man. I'm just sharing the experience
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING BASED OFF OF WHAT I SAY!!!!
I'm not going to be responsible for your actions based of of my actions.
This was just shown because everyone said they don't email back, they have no machine:
Well they emailed me and gave me a tracking number then post a video on YouTube.
Get real.
Don't blow shit out of proportion.

What is the link or info on litecoins?

I've called over 200 times, left 10's of emails and all I can say is this 'primeasic' 'company' is a LOAD OF BOLLOCKS! Its a scam pure and simple.
Keep your money folks, there isn't a primeasic device.
I've called over 200 times, left 10's of emails and all I can say is this 'primeasic' 'company' is a LOAD OF BOLLOCKS! Its a scam pure and simple.

I fully do agree with you. Im not in any denial of this BUT if there is and it works then cool right?
Now I bought 2 Avalon's and cant get a fucking response from them. What do you call that? I gave them $17,000 for 2 over priced machines.
They bait and switched everyone. It's ok.
Look I am trying to be super friendly. But I have had other business where I can recognize the path PrimeAsic is taking. If it works out for them I would feel very happy for them as I can relate to the struggle.
Lets wait and see what happens.... I will post tracking update as soon as I see it working in the system.... I got it Thursday Night and it does not work yet, so being unintelligent I would be upset and say SCAM, but being a seasoned experienced business owner of multiple NON failed business, I would say give it a chance and it will all come to surface. In no way am I tied in with them but if the machines they say they have do work and exist then I am surly going to talk to them about "Private Label" hebce the name "Bitcoin Computer. That is the ultimate plan. I do know how to market. www.derbysf.com and our Facebook Page shows it. I just need to make sure they have them and I will handle the rest professionally. See Avalon has poor customer service and horrible web. I would for surly put Pro videos and training and everything which is industry standard. This is what I mean by "Once the pros get involved" I have a formula just need a machine.
I am sorry if you feel the way you do about things but give it a chance. Let's see what happens.

And for sure If I were to sell anything of this nature in this market I would allow local pick up and escrow and be 10000% transparent. Its my money I risked. I would not advise anyone to do the same until it is confirmed. BUT, if you have a measly 15 coins you mined or got for cheap throw it down man. Bitcoin was a risk you took in the first place. People used to laugh at the Bitcoin thing. Now they are kicking them selves in the ass over it.

How many of you wish you kept, bought or mined 2 years ago.
All is well, I am no t trying to attack or persuade anyone but all of you here are the pioneers of this and the fisrt to go into the Sierras back in 1945 before the rush!
Have fun, be safe, and make smart moves. It's all a risk.
Good luck to you all

All details of this scam are here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=148832.580

Definitely a scam. Weeks ago they said they have many in STOCK ready to ship. Well, what happened with those?
%100 SCAM. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY AWAY BLINDLY OR LISTEN TO PEOPLE WITH 10 POST COUNT.

10 posts counts? Come on man. I'm only being nice posting anything in here man.
I never once told anyone to send them a dollar or .00001BTC. Check yourself.
IF I get.... I will post if the tracking they provided work and I hope it does. Man I hope they are real!
Long story short? Who do you blame after you go to Vegas? Yourself.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New PrimeAsic Demonstrating The Miner They Sell on: March 30, 2013, 05:02:13 PM
So this PrimeASIC guy has the startup capital to build an ASIC from scratch, but he can't afford a cheap DSLR to shoot the photos and movies with... It's all too obvious.
No, I fully agree with what you say. See I give the benefit of the doubt because when I started my business 4 years ago in the commercial sense I had no product. I had the idea and the prototypes (Facebook Page all one word DerbyOfSanFrancisco) Check out the history. Can't make fake posts. Everyone doubted me. I was called a liar a scammer a hoax etc. I had sooooooo many apologies: I've made over 2mil off that Facebook Page with an iPhone posting photos. But I do agree. I'm only stating I got a tracking number from them. That's it.
But from an experienced point of view, "Just Chill" it will all come out in the wash!!!
Have a good day

Because of this damn newbie limit, I can't post my experience. Yesterday I spoke with the user Bitcoin Computer about his order of a Primeasic and told him I was going to order one too, which I did, but did not pay for.

I asked the primeasic guys if I could order 2, but only pay for 1 and the next upon verification if the first works. They agreed. Then I asked them some more technical details and how many units they still have left.

I told 'Bitcoin Computer' about this and asked him to ask the Primeasic guys the same question so I could verify whether there would be any discrepancy between the stories.

Ever since I made my doubts more explicit both parties stopped communications. Both speak the same broken English and 'Bitcoin Computer' is supposed to be 36 year old guy from San Francisco. So I confirm your spider senses.

Primeasic must be the worst attempt at a scam I have ever seen. I suspect this is a teenager trying to pull this off.

Because the website is so poor, as well as the 'demo' on youtube. I was really curious to dig a bit deeper. No coins were lost Smiley"

End quote.
Whoa Whoa Whoa Buddy... Slow your fucking roll. I speak broken English? Yeah right.
You need to read my posts a little better. My English is not broken, your reading is poor.

you didn't answer the question...I know it's a derivative that would trade on wall street....I asked what happens if buyers of btc calls, for example, actually want delivery of btc instead of settlement in fiat?
Your betting on Bitcoin Value not receiving BTC in return....
Wall Stret does NOT give a shit about your coin brother....

Al-

What happens when the buyers of btc options want delivery instead of a fiat profit?  The sellers of these options would certainly have to own some bitcoin to fulfill the contract then...where are they going to get it...

There is no physical constraint to delivery of btc...there is no limit as to who is able to take delivery of btc...

I don't have a crude oil storage tank in my backyard to take delivery of crude I buy via options...but I do have a blockchain.info wallet...
It's a Derivative, It would trading it on Wall Street. People with bitcoin already are not the target but rather the outside investors that are willing to take the risk,  With a derivative their is no need to take ownership of the commodity rather it is a straight up bet based on the future value the "winner" get paid with the money from the incorrect investors no bitcoin ever needs to trade hands.  it is not about trading bit coin but rather betting on the street.  the only downfall is if the derivative causes bitcoin value to plummet the people currently with bitcoin holdings or mining operations will be the ones loosing the most.

Ok, My good friend Al just got drunk off one glass of wine and posted in the Econimics Section of the Forum.... Jesus.... Beware of Al.... His honesty is the truth....
Here is his post :
Dear BitcoinTalk.Org
Is the economy in for another shock,   Could bitcoin be the future.  I have worked with Bloomberg for the last ten years and the talk here is exciting form a trading perspective.  What would happen to the valuations if bitcoin was not considered a currency but rather a commodity. The idea is relatively simple.  If we take the idea that bitcoin will become more popular and mining operations become more prevalent than eventual a wall will be hit.  Does bitcoin actually have a value or is it something that we can hold in the hopes that it will exponentially hit the prices of gold, and if it does how ling will it last.

Monday morning I am sitting down with an investment firm to work out the algorithm to augment and shock this industry.  It is not a currency but rather traded on the fear of lack of other opportunities.  There is a finite time in which it could be profitable.  A derivative will allow the mass majority of people to weigh in on the potential valuation an month, two or three in the future.  A derivative could crush this industry, there are currently no constraints and institutional investors want their piece of the profit with the risk of being stuck with bitcoin potentially negated.  It seems as if the big banks want their cut and a willing to screw all those that are trying to mine coins that have only intrinsic value.  Meaning that bitcoin would have a different value if you could trade it without every having to mine or own any bitcoin.

I would not want to be the one stuck holding the bag, so to speak. depending on the derivative bets , puts and calls these institutional investors are just betting on the future and what the masses think about the product.  Think of it like the Abacus fund from Goldman.  The mortgage holders did not loose their homes during the bet but if you bet incorrectly you could have lost a lot.  The only difference is that you guys are mining and holding a commodity thats value is based not on potential uses but rather on the emotions that have driven you from "mainstream" investment strategies.

If i was to place a bet on a derivative of this nature it would be that the value would collapse the longer that industry existed seeing that the demand of the "product" has no intrinsic value.

This all may sound crazy to you but at the end of the day there is a recorded history of this

Thanks -

Ok guys,
I ordered a machine and got a tracking number which is verified in a post earlier I made.
You can find it in a post under my Screen name.
So ok, I ask to please send me a tracking number and they did. It has not shown to work but I know it takes a few days to register. It should be good by Monday or Tuesday at the latest....
If not then shit.
But here is a YouTube video they posted of them testing my machine before they sent out as requested.
I guess I was the first idiot to send BTC. Bit my good friend Anthoney put me on the Bitcoin Game and I bought close to 800 for around $35 a month ago and sold in the high $80's .
Since then I bought the following...

2 - AVALON ASIC 85GH/S
1 - PRIMEASIC 80GH/S
1 - BUTTERFLY LABS 60GH/S
And the grand daddy.....

1 BUTTERFLY LABS 1500 GH/S

All were about $45,000 but hey, I consider free as I still have my $29,000
Investment back from the original coins I bought last month...
Soooo..... Guess what? I transferred the $30K back to my bank account.
Now I  have close to 1.810 TH/S in equity for free!!!!
Man I love this shit

Well I bought a 1500gh/s rig and a 60gh/s rig from them....
No risk no reward man....
And I bought a PrimeAsic 80gh/s machine and 2 Avalon ASICs 85gh/s

The big announcement is they are testing and tho they hash at the proper hash rate the power consumption is higher than they state which I believe they are fixing.
You guys should be a little more patience as I'm sure they mentioned almost posting a video of the test and said they will this weekend. This is a tough market to be in and it's gonna work. Just don't be the last to buy and be left on an island talking to a volleyball once they prove to work. Hey, everyone doubted Abalon ASIC from the start. Had you not and bought 30 of them for 1200 you would be dancing around naked. But hey they cost $8k now..
Get ready, the crow is cooking and almost ready to eat.

1.810TH/S of Mining soon... What shall I buy?
Hmmmmmmm maybe a unicorn to go next to the table with my machines?
