Insurance is a very regulated industry. I have read your material and I do not see how you plan to do an ICO with a publicly traded coin and make this a legitimate business? Seriously asking this because it looks like a stretch in my opinion.

Personal statement from Patrick Dai:

"Dear Qtum community,

Lately some concerns have been raised regarding my past involvement with the BitBay project.

Firstly, I’d like to confirm that I was indeed involved in the project, going under the name of Steven Dai. I, Xuguang Dai by birth, have been using the western nicknames Patrick and Steven interchangingly in order to engage smoothly with western partners. This is a commonplace practice in Asia, and in fact, I still use Steven from time to time.

As it is clear by now, the BitBay project was indeed highly problematic, with many goodwilling investors and entrepreneurs, including myself, losing some money and time invested in the project due to malevolent activity of some individuals.

My involvement in the project began in 2014, with the intent to support the development of decentralized commerce and the blockchain space in general. However, I soon found out the hard way that not all involved in BitBay’s operations shared these goals.

With questionable ends and actions surfacing, I decided to leave the project in 2015, after doing my best to support the remaining developers and handing them all BitBay related holdings under my control. These assets included about 70 BTC, which were transferred to BitBay’s developers before my departure from the project.

I want to assure you that I regard integrity and rightful conduct as my main priorities in all my business activities, past, present and future. I am confident that my performance in cooperation with the rest of the Qtum team will assert itself very soon.

Sincerely,

Patrick Dai"

Thank you for your patience.

Thank you Patrick for the response Mr. Dia. Qtum still looks like the top project of 2017 to me. I expect every potential major project to have a team with past involvement in the industry. Most projects have not turned out the way we would have hoped.

Is the team has confirmed to abandon AMP development?

The price is reflecting the current stage of development.

When is Dor going to invite us all to the alpha. The community is dying here Dor.

I am intrigued to see how this turns out. I have learned to avoid the FUD or look through it. So far I have seen nothing that looks like just a lot of hot air.

I was reading somewhere that Qtum will be able to run Ethereum Dapps. Is this correct?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum] UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform|On Coindesk & Bitcoinmagazine on: January 19, 2017, 05:24:18 PM
For average consumer like me this is just the part that I understand the most.

Quote
One of Qtum’s growth strategies is the mobile telecommunications market.  There is a vast amount of consumers that may not be aware of digital currencies, but could be introduced to Qtum by means of a viral marketing campaign.  This does not mean that the average user isn’t accustomed to paying with their mobile devices.  In China, Wechat leverages their userbase of over half a billion people, to make payments for everyday goods and services.  Just like Apple Pay, they make a quick scan with their device at the point of sale, and the money is deducted from their account.  We plan to build Quantum applications that integrate into the popular messaging platforms like: Wechat, WhatsApp, Viber, and so forth.  We call this the Qtum “Go Mobile” strategy.

It is a good thing if you could provide this apps that can make life easier with just the mobile and internet. I surely want to see this through.
I have seen the Youtube video on explanation about Qtum to those who are lazy to read here it is and you should put it on the first page if it is allowed.

I really like this. mobile money from the beginning sounds logical. If you can get traction in China, then your off to an excellent start.

QTUM looks very interesting. How will it compete with Ethereum and Lisk?

So when do we hear about the decision to or to not oust Greg? It's happening today correct? I would expect a post on Twitter or somewhere after the decision's made.

The vote is happening on Monday at the shareholders meeting. I would not expect complete resolution, but adding others to the board will help with resolving conflicts around the project and the team. I expect a rocky December and things to head towards the moon in January again. They are driven and funded.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: December 01, 2016, 08:15:34 PM
I just see a lot of finger pointing. I do not think its productive and just a waste of time.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: December 01, 2016, 02:41:13 PM
Greg is a great talent, but the facts are he has under delivered so far. If Synereo moves on I think its not a bad move. Synereo needs to deliver and if its not the moon, then something useable. I hope the project of building a decentralized social network becomes the focus again. Dor has stayed strong during this time. I wish him luck.

I predict in 4 months we will see AMP at 25000 again minimum.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: October 25, 2016, 04:15:54 PM
All AMPs are dropping because bitcoin is up 4%. Man I love the bitcoin mini bubbles as all the traders think bitcoin will go to the moon on all upward swings. Makes altcoins cheap  Grin
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: October 25, 2016, 04:14:49 PM
No assets on the exchanges to buy more  Embarrassed
Prices this low makes me feel greedy… I start calculating how much AMP I would need to buy a small apartment in 3 years  Grin

In my part of the world I think it would be about 40,000 AMPs will be worth about $4 or 160k. This works for me.

Does this project have a minimum requirement or the funds will be returned to investors?

AMPlifiy this post... Anyone really gonna use this? Will people purchase AMPs so they can upvote stuff? I doubt that.

AMPlifiy this post... And loose money with that...

Would YOU do this? Not someone you can imagine...

It's like with this social network for pets. If you ask around you find a lot people who can imagine such a thing would be profitable. But in reality, no one would use it.
This does not even work with STEEM. As I understand, the more STEEM, the more upvote. But with STEEM, these are not lost after upvoting. And yet steemit isn't really profitable for investors.

Except for advertisers perhaps...

Dude, do you realize how much money Facebook makes from people sponsoring stories? It's a lot. On the social media layer, AMPlification is essentially the same. I think lots of people will wind up using AMPs for this purpose.

For sure bro. Facebook makes a killing on advertising. The attention economy is just the next way forward.

The new wallet works much more efficiently.

But the problem is the dark web has found new coins to use. Not much use for DOPE anymore is there?
