It is interesting, that almost 75% of all tokens are still in ICONOMI wallet (https://etherscan.io/token/ICONOMI?a=0x29d38fdf26d64fa799276e6615759d27db1f1fcd), so only apx. 3% were pulled out of ICONOMI site after genesis.

Market depth is also very low. Less than 2% of all tokens available for trading right now on the exchanges. Obviously many investors are just hodlers

No, t-ICNs were transferred to those who submitted their ETH address prior to the contract deployment.

t-ICN tokens are released now (contract unlocked), so test tokens can be sent around. If someone needs a fraction, PM your ETH address.

For all Iconomers anxiously waiting for token transfers to go through, just wait for another hour or so. Contract is lock till block number 2474580 so no transaction can go through until that block is reached.

The only thing clear about the ETH wallet to me so far is that I'm beginning to develop a hatred for it.

You don't need your own contract for that. Iconomi will provide their contract address that you will add to your watch list. See an example (for DGD) here.
