Well, if you want profits in crypto, sometimes you have to take a risk. Recently ETH gave many people huuuuuuge profits and they want to diversify. I want to allocate some of my profits in HEAT's company, because I liked the project's whitepaper. I understand that there is a risk of failure, but if the project succeedes, this might be very profitable. So once again, are there any devs here or anyone who knows the answer to this question?

is it true that this was 3 previous failed projects before it was renamed zcoin? and thats why the founder left? and still holds a founders wallet? with a huge stockpile of XZC, how do we know he is not going to dump?
no development for weeks.... no updates.. no formal roadmap..
I wouldn't call it failed. Moneta/Zcoin are the same project just that Moneta didn't 'launch' and when it did it was rebranded as Zcoin. Zerovert was abandoned due to lack of interest from the Vertcoin community (it was meant to be part of it) and Poramin's problem that he couldn't open source it without investors as he didn't want someone just stealing his hard work. Gary didn't 'leave' he was replaced. You can trawl back a bit to see what happened as I rather not repeat No development update for weeks is also not true with a wallet loading fix which is pretty significant less than week ago. You can follow us on Slack and Twitter to keep abreast of updates. I've been trying to sync the wallet for 48 hours and I'm still 3 weeks behind. Due to prevent double spends, the first loading will take hours, the nexts only minutes. I downloaded the wallet and it took near 10 hours for the first loading, than minutes |

Is there any GPU miner available for ZCoin or is it purely CPU mining?

We are pleased to release v0.1.8 of Zcoin which fixes the following issues: - Wallet loading times improved greatly. First loading time after install/reinstall will still take hours but subsequent loads will take minutes.
- Fixed compile issue for MacOS
Please head to our Releases page to download the updated binaries which are available for Windows and Mac. Linux binary will be released later today. If you wish to compile your own binary, you can do so from the Github. The reason why the initial load still takes such a long time is due to a full verification to ensure there are no Zerocoin double-spends. There have been concerns on hashrate being dominated by CPU only which allows people who use/purchase discounted credits (not always legally) to run large cloud mining operations via AWS and similar. This is against the spirit of having egalitarian computing which is one of the things that MTP was meant to address. As we only expect MTP development completion in March, the devs are considering doing a parameter change to the Lyra2 algorithm which would allow GPU mining to work alongside CPU mining as a temporary measure to address dumping of coins and unfair domination of hashrate. We are holding a NON BINDING poll to gauge community sentiment that will be one of the factors we shall consider in our decision. We appreciate your feedback. Alcuni importanti annunci da fare. L'accordo iniziale tra Poramin e Gary, era che Poramin si sarebbe occupato di tutta la parte relativa al codice mentre Gary si sarebbe preso cura di tutto il resto. Il contributo iniziale di Gary è stato occuparsi degli investitori come Roger. Gary non ha contribuito al codice. Dalla parte del fondo, Gary ha comunicato a Poramin di aver speso tutta la propria share e che quella dedicata a Poramin gli sarebbe stata data in 18 mesi. Nessun dettaglio è stato dato su come questo denaro è stato speso e sembra comunque che non sia stato speso per il progetto.
In questi ultimi mesi avete visto come poco Gary abbia partecipato allo sviluppo del progetto, spendendo la maggior parte delle monete in Bittrex. Inoltre ha nascosto informazioni a Poramin, il quale chiedendo delucidazioni sull'identità di uno dei maggiori investitori, non ha avuto risposte.
Gary non sembra interessato al progetto, avendo privato esso dei benefici dei fondi. Continuare ad averlo nel progetto, risulta essere una grande liability.
E' stata fatta un'offerta per acquisire la sua share, ma la risposta ricevuta è stata quasi maggiore del market cap della coin stessa.
E' stata presa la difficile decisione di rimuovere Gary dal progetto, pur significando la perdita totale della sua share (ciò non ha nulla a che vedere con il founder reward). Se gli utenti decideranno di rimanere con Gary, sarà una loro decisione.
Abbiamo fatto in modo da assicurare fondi per continuare questo progetto per almeno un anno e confidiamo nell'andare avanti con rinnovato entusiasmo e vigore.

all good informations will be released early 2017. I had bought a huge amount xzc coins.

Hope poloniex would add it. This coin has great devs and a huge potential to be a Zcash cousin  ZEC - "Hi, I'm gold." XZC - "Hi, I'm silver." perfectly agree! |
