1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Raspberry pi and ZenCash secure node on: January 16, 2018, 11:28:59 PM
I thought most people were using VPS to run secure nodes.

Read this on moving old wallets:

MWD

“Internal Node Error” is NOT a problem
BipCoin wallet .0004 is able to transact better than ever. Errors we had in version .0003 are gone. You now can do transfers of thousands of bips and they confirm in minutes. But some transactions produce the error in red : “Internal Node Error”, especially right after making a few transfers successfully, but sometimes at random.

This problem is ONLY with .address/.wallet files from the the old .0003 wallets when opened up in the new .0004 (they will not open in the .0003, that no longer works. Nor should it.)

If you are having problems transferring bips from old wallets, try typing

reset

and hit enter. If this does not fix it, you’ll just have to send your bips from old wallets to new wallets in batches, with time between transfers.

I was able to transfer thousands of bips from an old wallet to a new wallet, but ran into this problem with the last 200 bips or so. Had to transfer them 10 or 20 at a time, with a minute or so between transfers.

It’s irritating, but once transferred, delete the old .0003 .wallet / .address files. You won’t have to deal with this again after that in the new .0004 wallet software.

=-=-

It goes without saying, but: MAKE A NEW WALLET IN .0004 TO MINE WITH / TO. DO NOT USE A WALLET ADDRESS MADE IN .0003 AS A MINING ADDRESS!

Thanks!

I was beating my head against the wall trying to empty that wonky wallet, figured Id check here one last time before sending you an email.

FYI MWD,

I downloaded and installed the CLI daemon and wallet to Mint yesterday about 17:00 and when I start up simplewallet its showing as "bipcoin wallet v0.0.0.2()"

I used to top CLI installer link/download, when I hover the mouse over them they show as the same file though.

I noticed after I saw your message today about v0.0.0.3 and double check my version.

Worms,
Last block was 5753.  I've got a few today so far, things seem to be speeding up. I've probably got 4 locked right now.

Right now I'm trying to figure out how the whole hashing rate works out.  I was running 7 out of 8 cores for awhile and seeing 150 and I just changed it to 4 to cool down a bit and I'm seeing 165. is there a sweet spot somewhere in the number of cores running or is a based on the individual computer?

I'll be hitting you up for some stickers soon.  I need to figure out how to transfer next.

yeah, mining with CryptoNote-based coins isn't like Bitcoin-based coins, where more GPU is god. More CPU is supposed to be God with us but not even always that.

To try transacting, send me some dust amount, like .001 bips.

 to this address:

and let me know when it's sent.

sent.

BTW, when I copied/pasted your address it added a space between lag and dic in your address that gave an error.

New to mining/cryptocoins/etc but I've been solo mining for two days now and I had a big gap from block 5137 to 5726.  Things seem to be churning along like earlier now.  Hopefully the solo mining continues to be good for awhile.
