Nothing is free. Just because something as faucets are EASY to do does not mean they are free. You are still trading your time for money there, not to mention that faucets give low amounts. But still you have to promote the ICO for bounties so need to do something in order to get tokens/coins. |

Maybe because a higher market cap would make people think it's a more trustworthy exchange? I don't know if it's really worth going through all of that effort. Would this have a major effect on the prices? I know we used to see huge differences in prices in the past, but now you won't see much more than a few percent here and there between exchanges. Of course that this is done to benefit the exchange. From now since Centralized Exchanges are popular you must trust any exchange provider that they give true statistics about their exchange. Since many people are looking at volumes before they decide which exchange they are going to use it makes perfect sense to try to give false data to increase the likelihood of new users joining and staying on the exchange. |

Does anyone recognize bitcoin wallet ID numbers that resemble 3ag3 e7t4 7y3j d8l2.......? You see the code is split into sections of four charachters. If so could they please suggest bitcoin company that uses numbers similar to that?
I was paid a $300.00 affiliate payment but unfortunately have lost the information of what Bitcoin company I used and being a complete idiot dummy.
A complete shot in the dark but have been trying dozens of Bitcoin companies over the last several days to see if I had a login there but no luck.

I suppose that when you say wallet ID you are actually thinking about wallet address and thus for ease of use it is divided for you into sections so that you can read it well. Unfortunately if this was in your possession and you don't remember an exchange or wallet that you used, or if you haven't made any backups I don't think you can recover it. Other than that if it is some identifier for specific online platform that is built in within their system I can't help you there sadly. As characters as yo wrote above doesn't mean much to me. Best you can try is go look at you email and look to which services you have registered in the past. At least learn to keep track of accounts that you have online for the future :/ |

I don't like ATMs much tbh, best is to have more merchants and services to accept crypto but to issue payments in crypto as well. We are yet in some slow beginning of things and this is great news airport! I guess I have to move to Australia  |

Didn't EOS started with the idea of becoming Ethereum Operating System? Something like ETH=IBM and EOS=MicroSoft
On the most primitive look it can be seen as another platform for smart contracts if you want to look it in that way. But EOS should be more advanced with more rich features. |

In UK, some hospitals are set up for the rehabilitation of crypto addicted. But I really don't know that if it an addiction. My thought is NO. People want to earn and crypto industry is something like that where close observation is very crucial. And I think this feature cannot tagged anyone crypto addicted. This kind of initiative can make the traders feel low. And I do not support this initiative.
What do you think about this??
Addiction or not these rehab centers don't always offer the safe route for people who are seeking help. I know many examples where they haven't really helped they need another tactic as you can shift anybodies opinion and views on anything. As gambling trading crypto can be addicting and an serious addiction if you don't have set of rules to follow you could easily be dragged by your emotions etc. |

I am not sure if ripple is available to do Lock Time transactions? I find this to be the easiest way as you make transaction to other party you trust with your coins in it lets say you put it for next year. When date is coming close you simply pick your stash of coins and move it to another address before lock time transaction triggers itself so you go and make another one. I found this to be the effective way to ensure your money is not lost. It is sad to see that people haven't though about this because as we know everybody can die tomorrow unexpectedly.

I've been studying bitcoin architecture and even though I'm a developer, I am a visual person. I've been looking for the data and control flow diagrams for entire bitcoin system but have not found them. There are many diagram that show some portions such as Merkle tree, block composition, but not the entire system data and control flow among different components including wallet, miners and full nodes.
I am taking that project on myself, but was wondering if such a set of diagrams/documents exist. If you know of such documentation(s), please let me know.

PS: I read Mastering Bitcoin. Even though that book describe many aspects of bitcoin in great details, it does not provide the overall flow of the operations.
I do not think that such full charts and visuals exist for bitcoin. Mastering Bitcoin is good book for the start and most of the time you would not need to go on the deeper level if you don't want to get your hands dirty and develop new features on top of it. You could check forum/bitcoin wiki and if you still have questions ask them freely here on forum as I am sure that myself and others will gladly help out if we know the answer. As knowing how to read 3rd party APIs, knowing how to use libraries and knowing RPC commands is most of the time enough to build related software that talks with the btc protocol it might really not be needed to know all the aspects of how bitcoin work. |

Has anyone looked into Paybear? They have a fully functioning service (provide a payment gateway) for ecommerces and are on the verge of launching their token, so basically all the current webshop owners who are already accepting the big cryptos with their API will automatically be able to accept the token as a payment method, does this sound big?
You have services such as coinpayments which have support for vast amount of crypto already. Problem here is that however you are relaying on 3rd party service when in reality you don't have to. These services are okay since they host nodes and all that but with free APIs and a little of work you can create your own version of payment system and without the need to pay somebody for it. But easier way is to go with such payment services as they make it very easy. |

Because of the last years hype many people are more aware about crypto and blockchain in general with hyperledger slowly developing their own blockchains for business and with the cloud companies in mind that offer you the ability to use your own private blockcahin and that they are selling it to others we could see many companies that will be looking into blockchain. But don't forget the real purpose of lockchain it is to cut of the middleman and let us relay on the protocol, where as businesses are trying to still be middleman and implement blockchain within their centralized and private systems. |

Hello,
I am trying to get an idea about opening a new exchange. I read that there are certain procedures to get approval, with fees, for individual countries. Read somewhere that to allow exchange operate in Japan, one needs to pay a fees of around $100k. Does it mean, if that exchange has to operate in 20 countries, will it be needed to pay such a huge fees ?
I tried finding this information online, but I couldn't find this data for individual countries.
Any tips ?

If you are serious to run your own exchange why don't you go and acquire a layer that might know more information for your country. Many of us here on forum are from different countries and thus we are not familiar with all the laws and fees that apply in other countries. |

Have you tried websites like flippa? Since flippa will enable you to sell to other people and since it is a marketplace it has good volume of people which can raise chances of your website being sold. Although if you are looking to get paid in crypto it might not be a good idea to go with flippa. |

At least you can draw a conclusion out of this to not invest all of your money. Evey body has experienced big shrunk of their funds but this is the reality. Come back in like 6months to see where we are at. |

We have yet to see the end of 2018. Of course that correction was inevitable, keep in mind how fast the prices went up in December. Correction was expected to occur. However I do believe that for the long run it doesn't matter as the market will catch the bull run again someday in the future.

If people buy Bitcoin at $8,000, they will get 100% profit only when Bitcoin reaches $16,000. If it takes 5 years to reach $16,000, people will earn more money from Gold and Silver than from Bitcoin. Silver is giving 20% to 35% profit in one year.
Mining cost of one Bitcoin is $5,000 or more. When Bitcoin was $400 or $800 it was understandable because people had to just spend $400 or $800 to get one Bitcoin and $1,200 is super high profits when Bitcoin started from $1.
Most of the people buy it because of the hype and speculation in place. Which means if everything plays out right you would not have to wait 5years for it to hit 16k$ but less time. However that's why bitcoin is seen as an investment with high risk. Other people might buy it because they use it for other purposes rather than speculation. So you either buy bitcoin because you believe in it, you are using it in one way or because you like to gamble. |
