The problem with eICN is that these people can change the rules of the game at any time.  I might as well put my money in regular wall street stocks.  I see no difference between eICN and stocks.  This is not crypto.

Will Gemini send out 1099-B tax reporting?

Currently, Gemini is not required to issue Forms 1099-B because bitcoin and ether sales appear to be regarded as sales of personal property under current IRS guidance. Forms 1099-B are not required to be issued for sales of personal property, and therefore, while we are still evaluating this issue, we do not believe that Gemini has a filing requirement at this time.

With that said, our account reports do provide information related to 3 of the 4 pieces of information related to determining gain/loss of your bitcoin or ether activity on Gemini:

Date acquired (if your bitcoin or ether were purchased on Gemini)
Date sold
Proceeds
You can access your account report by following the two steps below:

1) Click the “View All Transaction History” button located at the bottom of the Dashboard

2) Click the “Download History (xlsx)” button. This will prompt the account report to download on to your device.

Please note that we do not have any way of knowing the cost basis for bitcoin or ether deposited into your account (one of the necessary pieces of information to complete a Form 1099-B). As a result, we recommend that for tax preparation, especially related to any sale of bitcoin or ether on Gemini that were acquired elsewhere, you consult with your personal tax advisor.

The burn rate for Iconomi concerned me in the last quarterly report, but it looks like they will meet and exceed the burn rate fairly soon. Which mean it will be a very profitable project in the next few quarters.  I think starting ~2018, major FOMO will set in.  I've been holding steady since ICO. $50/ICN is my minimum sell price.  Go ICN team!!!

However, I do see a discrepancy in amounts linked to my BTC address.  I've actually added more BTC to a few of my addresses, but it's not showing up when checking by using "hi."  Are these addresses rechecked by byteball prior to actual distribution to get correct amount of BTC?

Forgive me if this has been answered already.  I have some BTC addresses linked to byteball by signing for the last distribution.  Do I need to reverify by signing the same addresses for the next and subsequent rounds of giveaway?

Segwit will not activate on Aug 1st.  UASF will activate on Aug 1st. Segwit has a long way to go before activation.  

Regarding BTC vs Alts if segwit gets activated...  BTC will rocket up.  I'm expecting minimum $5000/BTC.  The Alts in relation to BTC will drop, but in USD values, it'll probably hold steady.

I think "early access" is being slowly rolled out to all ICO participants. It probably won't be too long before you receive yours.  I think we're within 1 to 2 months before public launch.  It's a good time to pick up cheap ICNs before launch.  I'm sure it's going at least 0.001 BTC almost immediately upon release.

My ICN disappeared from Etherscan.io yesterday. Or so it seemed.  I nearly had a heart attack. hahaha.  Looks like the data migration caused some issues with etherscan.io.  

Like Mal, I'm a top 10 wallet holder.  The project seems to be gaining a little steam.  The 20 member ICN team looks impressive.  Looking at the ICO market, ICN is definitely the sleeping Giant.

I'm liking the cheap ICN price.  FEAR must be in the air.  Hahahahaha...  I just keep piling up my ICNs...

I'm sure he'll sell when it's right time, but now is not the time.  Why?  It's a bull market for ICN.  Wise man never sells in a Bull Market.  The potential of ICN is yet to be realized.
