1  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: July 14, 2017, 02:48:34 AM
As long as mining is profitable and the costs are reasonable, if we keep going like this then it wont last for another 8 years, imagine how many miners will be needed to mine by the next 2 halving? would you buy 100 ASICs to mine half a Bitcoin in a week?

Mining could maintain profitable or not. But the lasting time of bitcoin is not directly dependent on mining. The usage and demand are much more important.

Indeed. As long as there are users there will be demand and supply and bitcoin still lasts.
We never know when but bitcoin will lasts.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do males make up 97% of the Bitcoin community? on: July 13, 2017, 03:16:05 AM
According to the website https://coin.dance/stats males make up 97% of the Bitcoin community. Why is the Bitcoin community dominated by guys?
As what I have observed in my country, some boys or most of the boys were exposed to the computer more than girls. They played online games with pop up above ads during or before playing the game. Also based on my observation and experienced, boys are good in programming and logic. For me, boys are smarter than girls. I am one of the girls and I believe this is true based on my theory.

Nah, maybe boys are more techy thing than girls that's why many are here are men but we don't know what's the real score. Let's not make this an issue, men and women are all equal here, no gender bias and no one are taking for granted in what their gender.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy again? on: July 13, 2017, 03:02:10 AM
You are already too late, everything jumped back. The key to making profit is to buy when it is red and when this is uncertain that it will recover. When it's already green you will make close to zero profit, if any. You must take risks, like all the time, to make profits.

Yes and those red day is gone and you didn't catch it. That would be the perfect timing for investors that want decent profit.
You can buy now but take the risks.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plans for 1st august? on: July 12, 2017, 06:50:44 AM
I'm not going to do. The situation after August 1, be sure to stabiliziruemost and all who sell their coins will regret it. The same situation with the dollar. Many people want to abandon it, but if you do it right then the price falls and you can stay without money. In order not to lose your money I until September I will not conduct any transactions, and then I'm sure all that will, as before, but the price of bitcoin will rise.

I'm not going to do ass well. I will hold onto my bitcoin and other digital assets. There is no reason to leave them right now. They can't fear us with 1st august situation easily.

Me also. I'm still holding mine until it recovers. There's no way to have panic selling now just because of the downfall of bitcoin and altcoins. There's nothing to fear about August 1.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTF is happening in cryptocurrency world ? on: July 12, 2017, 06:05:16 AM
It is hard to see market nowadays. Some articles predict that bitcoin market price will go down till $1800. However when it starts going up, it will go up till $5000. But still it gives me heart attack every time I see the market. Sad

Yeah. I think everyone is anticipating that. Like after of the massive downfall there will be and hopefully a blue sky to all of us.
Market will always be a market expect that there isn't always have a good time.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WAVES on: July 11, 2017, 04:42:12 AM
Waves is still under development ... but still allow to trade really fast for a decentralized exchange.
In few weeks the new UI will be released and this will be huge: http://etherdesign.io/project/dex

The DEX is very young, the volume will come slowly when peoples understand that:
  • You can trade straight after receiving your ICO tokens
  • All your funds are safe because they are still on your wallet
  • It's trading almost fast as a centralized exchange

Just recently using waves and I just got hooked to this like you can link this to some exchanges like bitrex.
Looking forward to use this by many.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: can my bitcoin drop to nothing on: July 10, 2017, 03:51:36 AM
so I got my first 40$ worth of bitcoin i noticed that the that the 40$ goes up and down. Im scared that it will go to 0$ is this possible?, Should i spend my bitcoin on a giftcard? any help please
of course it is possible, and if you don't have the balls to lose as small amount as 40 dollars then maybe you shouldn't be investing in bitcoins at all and should just use it for purchasing stuff? I am holding because I believe in bitcoins and I am sure that the price of the bitcoin is going to grow in a longer term, even if the price went back to 500 dollars I would be holding and if you want to be a good investor and earn money then you should be holding as well.

Yes we should always trust bitcoin. Yeah anything can really happen and we're not in control of it. But let's hope for the best.
Trusting that over time it have fluctuations but it can rise again and grow. Just keep calm and trust bitcoin.  Wink
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum a threat to BTC??? on: July 10, 2017, 03:35:17 AM
NO! It is not the same

Of course it's not the same. And we can't compare to each other because eth can't surpass bitcoin. Each two have different platform and building it's own name in the market. Yes eth is use as alternative to bitcoin but bitcoin is more widely known, adopted and trusted by many. The name itself is the foundation.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SKINCOIN - CRYPTOCURRENCY FOR eSPORTS INDUSTRY on: July 09, 2017, 11:39:24 AM

11  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term argument for bitcoin on: July 09, 2017, 11:05:35 AM
The answer is simple. Bitcoin without any doubt is the most popular cryptocurrency out there which makes it the best crypto to invest in. Bitcoin is the oldest cryptocurrency and is one of the fastest growing investment. Bitcoin can yield maximum returns in long run.

Simply because bitcoin has stabilize its name in the market. Playing major role in the crypto world and of course bitcoin is the first considering its originality not a copy cut and trusted by many.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: July 08, 2017, 12:03:03 PM
I also see a cashless society in the future, but i feel that the "new" currency would still be controled by governments in a BAD way

Maybe it will take many years to happen this cashless society. Government should educate all regarding this from high to low level of societies. But this would never be easy. Many will protests to this especially of low class because its not easy to have cards when you dont have a savings in bank. They will not easily issuing cards to these people. So what are they going to use? This is one of those problems that will be facing by the government if we are going cashless.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Probability of Bitcoin split on: July 08, 2017, 11:31:07 AM
Hi, in your opinion what's the probability of Bitcoin's split (e.g. 1:100 bitcoins, so if you have one bitcoin you'll have 100, but the price will be 100 times smaller - about $2.6)?

I think this will greatly improve Bitcoin growth because it's more complicated to surge from $2600 to $10000 than from $2.6 to $10
Isn't that just the same? It's not a good idea because we could already divide bitcoin in to much smaller pieces and as mudiko said there's no need for this. I don't see any good thing about this kind of split it'll most likely just get rejected by the miners and devs.

Yeah it's just the same, you just divide it too many and the value didn't change. So what's the catch here? They just make people become more confuse. Spreading of fuds are everywhere and people are going mad. Hope this splitting of coin will resolve sooner.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SKINCOIN - CRYPTOCURRENCY FOR eSPORTS INDUSTRY on: July 07, 2017, 02:47:21 AM

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Stake? on: July 07, 2017, 02:16:11 AM
I want to know the word "Stake" in bitcointalk.

When i read the article from ICO bounty pages, i seen the that word.

Maybe your lazy enough to search this. You're welcome Grin
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do i get free coins? on: July 06, 2017, 04:12:38 AM
Faucet gives very little number of coins. You should participate in bounty campaigns.

Don't go with the faucets, it's just a waste of time. Better eye for some good bounty here but you should be a junior member to participate. Most people here earn through signature and media campaign.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: July 06, 2017, 04:00:36 AM
If I decided to save bitcoins in bank, how will deposit rate be changed compared to dollar or other currencies? Will it have much lower percent?
I don't think if there are any Bitcoin bank now neither online nor real life so that you can find another way to save your Bitcoin. Maybe you should try "Cold Storage", it's really a way to store your Bitcoin for long time, if it's the way you are asking for.

There's no such thing of Bitcoin bank. If it there's a bank I won't hesistate to deposit my btc there. I'd rather put it to my offline wallet, its more safer and secured. Saving bitcoin in your wallet will have a grow of interest unlike fiat that devalues over time.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: July 05, 2017, 12:05:44 AM
The same question was asked when bitcoin was new. We now know the answer to that. The same can be said about altcoins. But not all alt-coins will have the same future as bitcoin. If it is just a copy paste of bitcoins code, then it will be trash. If it does not offer something new or any added value, it will be trash. But if it has a unique characteristic that can be valuable, then I say that coin have a future.

Exactly. Like not all altcoins can survive in the crypto world, some are just for short term and when its lucky enough it till survive for a long term. I think it depends how the market is playing so it will not lose its value. We can't say what altcoins have the future but we all speculate from its market cap and community support. It will change over time but for sure some will survive.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: July 04, 2017, 11:48:27 PM
I am trying to get a little pension fund together and help my family but at present a friend of mine has his dad very ill with cancer, so i am trying to help him out a bit in the interim. Need to help save lives, then I can think for myself and my future.

You have a good heart sir. Sharing what we have to the others who really needs help is something. A good act like you didn't expect a return to all your deeds. Thinking first the others before yourself is a selfless love. Hope that your dad's friend will be better soon.

As for me, I just store it up and when I have enough I put it to business for my family.
