1  Economy / Exchanges / Binance UK (Jersey) Question on: June 13, 2019, 11:08:01 PM
I'm a UK resident and have a bit of BTC on Binance exchange.

If 1 x BTC hits £7k (for example) I want to move my funds to GBP fiat and wait for a price drop £6k.

GBP isn't on Binance so should I swap out to a stable-coin on Binance or can I sign-up to Binance Jersey and swap out to GBP fiat?

Thank you
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Stable Coin Profit Question on: June 13, 2019, 11:01:58 PM
Hi,

I hope this is posted in the right section.

I'm just wondering how/if it's possible to profit from stable coins? If they're pegged to fiat currency/currencies then I can't see how it's possible but I know lots of people invest in them.

Can someone please explain.

Thanks

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum Wallet Help on: January 03, 2018, 07:19:55 PM
Hi,

I have some Ethereum stored in the official Ethereum desktop wallet, but I can't get it to download the chain.

I've tried doing this on 3 computers now, I've left them for days but it never completes. I've read through the support tickets, have tried numerous solutions (like deleting the chain and starting again!) but nothing works.

I've had enough of this wallet, it's simply broken (and it seems this way for many many others).

Is there another way to access (import) my existing wallet using another desktop app?

Thanks
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BitcoinGold Chain Data on: November 21, 2017, 07:58:16 PM
Hi,

I already have the BTC chain data on my hard-drive and use Bitcoin Core wallet app.

The Bitcoin Gold app seems identical to Bitcoin Core.

Do I need to download the chain data again or can I somehow use the chain data I already have?

Thanks

I created a new receiving address and entered that, but it doesn't show anything.

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Do I still own BCC? on: September 29, 2017, 03:41:19 PM
Hi,

I had a Bitcoin wallet (I use Bitcoin core) before the fork, let's say 0.5. A couple of week ago, I sold my 0.5 back to Coinbase.

Do I still own BCC? I've just opened my wallet in Bitcoin ABC but it's not showing any BCC.

Sorry if this is a dumb question Smiley
10  Economy / Exchanges / Which Exchange (Question) on: May 01, 2017, 09:08:39 PM
Hi,

I'm playing around with small trading, and I'm currently using Kraken - but I find it really difficult to use.

Is the an exchange when I can easily sell my ETH for Bitcoin (or vise versa) and just click 'buy' without having to work out network costs etc.

If I was to go all in, at the moment I have to keep adjusting the value I want to sell by decimal points to get the maximum value I can buy.

Thanks

I don't, I'm asking if you are meant to once you've encrypted it and create backups.

I'm sure I read that it is recommended somewhere whilst investigating bitcoin.

17  Other / Beginners & Help / Where to buy my first coin(s)? on: March 28, 2013, 07:04:01 PM

Can anyone advise the best place to buy coins (from the UK)?

I've been looking at mtgox.com but I'm having trouble adding funds from a HSBC account.

Any others?
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Is this right? ... on: March 28, 2013, 04:34:32 PM
Are my following thoughts on bitcoins correct?

- Everyone is trying to con everyone?
- Difficult to buy?
- Difficult to sell?
- Bad time to get in unless looking at the long-term?
- Value has gone from $70 to $90 today?

Serious questions!

Thanks  Smiley

Edit: Bonus question: Why has the value increased so rapidly over the past day?
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NEED A CASH DEPOSIT WEBSITE FOR BITCOINS IN THE UK! ASAP :) on: March 28, 2013, 04:31:11 PM
Isn't that because their value has just rocketed to around 90?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying coins with card/paypal etc? on: March 28, 2013, 04:26:47 PM
What I meant was, say the limit is 10, are people buying these coins with their own cash? 10x$90=$900 which is quite a lot of money if they're doing it multiple times daily!?

Or are these people loaded?
