1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: Today at 12:50:03 PM
The first match of the Champions League was quite satisfying as several big teams such as Arsenal, Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, PSG, Inter, Barcelona, and Manchester City won. Unfortunately, Juventus and Dortmund played to a draw. On the second match, the big teams will face underdogs, so they should be able to maximize their chances of winning 3 points. Except, for the match between PSG and Barcelona, which is highly anticipated because it is sure to be fierce.
The clubs you mentioned certainly have extensive Champions League experience, so it's no surprise that they won their first matches, despite facing some tough opponents like Bayern Munich versus Chelsea, Barcelona versus Newcastle, Manchester City versus Napoli, and Liverpool versus Atletico Madrid. All four matches were highly entertaining, and the club that always has a chance of winning the Champions League remains the strongest.

The PSG vs. Barcelona match is sure to be exciting. Last season, they met in the Champions League quarterfinals, and PSG won, this time who will win?
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: Today at 11:40:18 AM
Unfortunately, they are much stronger teams, and the competition is very high. I think that they can still have a great championship, leaving aside the bad start, it can happen, it doesn't take much to get back to the top of the table, but the real problem there is the coach.

Real Madrid and Barcelona looked better prepared at the start of the season, while Atletico Madrid didn't seem fully prepared, which is why they haven't been able to perform optimally. But the journey is still long, and fortunately, it's only four games, so Atletico Madrid still has time to improve their performance and return to their best form like before.

The problem isn't really the coach, but rather the players they've recruited, who haven't found the right formula. Diego Simeone has been Atletico Madrid's coach for years, and he's also the one who's made Atletico Madrid perform so well.

Manchester United fans are (..)

I think that as a coach, if he continues at this rate he won't last long on that bench.
Maybe he still needs to gain experience and can't manage such a complex team. After all, is only been coaching for four years, so it makes sense. i don't know why, but he seemed like a capable person to me.
Becoming a Manchester United manager is much more difficult, so you can't compare it to previous coaching jobs. The conditions in Portugal and the Eredivisie are different, while Manchester United is in the top domestic league with fierce competition. If they don't find the right manager, Manchester United will remain where they are.
I recommend Manchester United hire a manager with extensive experience in top European leagues, such as La Liga, Serie A, or the Bundesliga. I'm sure a coach with that experience would be much better.

Mourinho is under agreement with Benfica to become their new coach. Honestly, i never expected this to happen. Mou goes back the club when he began his professional career. Is this a signal if he will end his managerial career at the place when he started in 2000?
However, i saw it why so many negativity come toward him by said he will end there badly. As i know he's not yet a washed coach, and still won european with Roma, and bring them to the another final. I hope him will save Benfica, i know he's too pragmatic, but let's see.
And finally...
Here we go
Agree deal
Benfica appoints Mou as their new coach manager.
The contract is for two years until June 2027. Now, Mou will be in Lisbon to seal the agreement very soon, a few hours later.

Jose Mourinho has had a difficult time in the last few seasons when he was the coach he was fired by AS Roma after serving 3 seasons, the second he was fired by Fenerbahce after serving 1 season, now he is given the trust to move to Portugal to become Benfica coach, can he restore his good image at this club? what is clear is that currently he seems to have run out of brilliant ideas because he used to be a successful coach and is now replaced by a coach with a more modern system if he doesn't want to be left behind he has to catch up with that modern system and return to being a top coach.

To be honest, I never thought that Chelsea would lose to Bayern. Chelsea are in very good form at the moment, every Chelsea player is in very good form and Chelsea is playing at home. All these aspects combined, I never imagined that Chelsea would lose this match. Bayern played very well and beat Chelsea at home. Bayern beat Chelsea by 3 goals which is very bad for Chelsea.
Chelsea is not playing at home but playing at Bayern Munich stadium so I am not surprised if Bayern Munich beat Chelsea because Bayern Munich is also in good form at the start of this season so for any club that blocks them both in the Champions League and in the Bundesliga Bayern Munich will be more ready to slaughter them no matter how difficult the opponent is so even though Chelsea is the winner of the world cup between clubs it does not guarantee that they are the strongest in the world because the Champions League competition is the biggest competition in Europe with very tough competition.

@memehunter, congratulations on another successful tournament. I cant still believe the closing door for me Smiley

A straight vs the full house (river)

Honestly, this was my first time beating @Tuan Magkaisa. I didn't even pay attention to the table because you were most likely getting a Straight, and I was only focused on my hand, which had AK right on the table. Who would have thought the river was on my side at that time? Grin
It seems like I was also lucky at that time. I often got good hands to dare to bluff and always had a combination on the table. Conditions like this are sometimes rare if you're not really lucky.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 17, 2025, 02:20:32 PM
The Brilliance that Como showed us at the beginning of the season has somewhat been diminished, they need to show more resilience if they are to compete for top spots in the Serie A. Genoa has always been a mid table Relegation bound team, I don’t know what their plans this season will be but let’s wait and watch how it all turns out.
I want Cesc Fabregas to succeed at Como and Serie A.

Victory was within reach, but suddenly slipped away. Caleb Ekuban equalized in the 92nd minute. Fabergas must have been very disappointed with this outcome. But they did make a mistake by receiving a red card in the 88th minute. Perhaps they should have stacked players at the back, but Genoa was able to score. Fabergas seemed to regret this outcome. If they had secured three points, they would have moved up the table. Overall, Como dominated, but Jacobo Ramon's red card threw them off balance. Genoa capitalized on this, enabling them to score.
Indeed, after Como lost a player in the 88th minute, they should have kept their defense tight because the opposing team would certainly try hard to exploit that gap and Genoa was able to capitalize and scored a goal in the final minutes of the match.
Como actually held on long enough to maintain their lead, but losing a player was devastating. However, this can be used as an evaluation for Como when facing average teams they must not be careless if they don't want to lose three points.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 17, 2025, 11:32:33 AM
Barcelona team is performing quite well this season and their performance last season was quite good, although in the Champions League they have not been able to prove themselves in the same way for the last few seasons, but they must win the match they have against Newcastle. Barcelona have to plan match by match, they have a Champions League match ahead of them, they have to give the most importance to that match and they have to remember that this is a very big match in their Champions League and if they win this match, they will be able to go to the next round. If the manager can manage the team according to the right plan match by match and the players can perform on the field according to the manager's strategy, then Barcelona can definitely get full points against Newcastle.
The Champions League competition is the toughest competition in Europe so I can understand why Barcelona can't prove their ability in the last few seasons but Barcelona has always been a strong club among others when they are in this competition even last season Barcelona reached the semifinals so if they repeat their good performance like last season I think they can go further and have a chance to bring home the trophy so they need to work hard in the Champions League to not lose in several matches in the early rounds so they can qualify for the round of 16.

Manchester united had a disappointing result against Manchester city, allowing city winning them with an extraordinary results that made fans regret devoting time for there game. This seasons result is giving reasons why fans should loss trust in both coach and the players at large in Manchester united.

Talking about the unimaginable results coming Manchester united this season, both players and coaches should be hold responsible because at times the coach lacks the ability to make tactical changes when the team needs such changes  instead he goes about doing some experimental decisions that at last contributed the teams failure

Manchester United has really disappointed everyone this season. I never thought Manchester United would go through such a bad time. But yes, everyone goes through such a situation at some point. Looking at the current situation of Manchester United, it doesn't seem like they will be able to do anything very good in the future. Manchester United's opponents can't understand what the opponents are doing. Maybe the coach will explain everything. If the coach doesn't explain it, how will the players get it. I think Manchester United should change their coach.
No one could have really expected Manchester United to experience such difficult times even though they used to be an elite club that always competed at the top and competed for the title in the Premier League but now they are struggling to stay in the top 5 and their performance is increasingly disappointing fans every season that has not improved. Ruben Amorim has emphasized that he remains with his system but I feel that the system given is not suitable and ultimately this club is difficult to develop it yes I think the club needs to take firm action to fire him if he does not provide changes for the better so that the coach can also try harder to improve performance.

Mbappe scored two goals, brought three points to Madrid and he surely is happy with his performance in this match. In a second season with Real Madrid, Mbappe will no longer want to miss UEFA Champions League title like the past season. He left PSG and joined Real Madrid for winning this title but he will need more than his individual performances for wining this title. His teammates must perform well too, whislt we can see that his teammates and Xabi Alonso still have many things for working together and cover existing weakness.

Nothing special, but I'm glad Madrid won. My note is that Madrid only managed to win by a narrow margin. It seems there's still a lot of work to be done by Xabi. Another issue is Trent Alexander-Arnold's injury. Then there's Dani Carvajal's red card. There's no definite news yet on Trent Alexander-Arnold; if it's a hamstring injury, he'll need at least four weeks to recover. Meanwhile, Carvajal's replacement will have to sit out due to the red card. They might face some challenges in the UCL. The good news is that Asencio is back. Camavinga and Jude are also back and can play on Saturday.

Absolutely, they should have won against Marseille, but unfortunately, it was only a narrow victory, and even that was thanks to a penalty kick from Mbappé, who became the hero of the match. I actually had high expectations for this match and hoped Real Madrid could score some goals and not just win by a narrow margin, but at least Real Madrid still won but they also need to fix their attacking line problems to be sharper.

And what's even more painful is that key Real Madrid players are injured and Carvajal received a red card, so we likely won't see them for the next few weeks. Hopefully, there won't be any problems with Real Madrid's performance in their absence.

Champions League kicks off again tonight.
I think the most exciting and competitive match of the evening will be Athletic Bilbao vs Arsenal.
The highest-scoring match in my opinion, will be PSV Eindhoven vs Union Saint-Gilloise.

Here are my predictions:
Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham. I believe these teams will win tonight.

Hope that Arsenal start the Champions League season with a win. Bilbao lost a home game this week against Alavés, so they might be a little shaken by it. My money is also on PSV, and maybe a little surprise from Villarreal  Smiley.
Arsenal is in better form, so I think they will win this match. I also think Tottenham will win the Tottenham vs. Villarreal match. English clubs usually have the upper hand over clubs less accustomed to competing in the Champions League, while Tottenham and Arsenal are used to the intense competition in the Champions League.

What intrigues me is the Juventus vs. Dortmund match, which is difficult to predict because both teams are in top form. Perhaps Juventus will have an advantage because they start their UCL match at home.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 16, 2025, 01:04:44 PM

Ruben Amorin is suck, he can't do nothing to that team he needs to leave the club for good, he's got what any good coach will need to win match but here he is struggling, Manchester United is bigger than him he should go look for a team at his size, but he spoil things than he's already done,
What is clear is that Ruben Amorim is not the right coach for Manchester United because it is proven that after he coached Manchester United for one season he did not have a positive impact then how long will it take for Manchester United to give him time to develop this team if he could have done it at the beginning of this season but so far Man United has only won 1 of 4 matches I am worried that Manchester United will repeat the same season as last season where they only won 11 of 38 matches that is a very bad result.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 16, 2025, 12:36:24 PM
quote]

Bundesliga teams make decisions very quickly. After just 3 matches, Gladbach and Leverkusen management realized that they needed a new coach. The big mistake of Leverkusen management was to make Ten Hag their manager. Ten Hag completely failed to do well with United. Even then, Leverkusen management wanted to rely on Ten Hag. And Leverkusen lost points in several matches in a row at the beginning of the season. We have seen good performance from Leverkusen even after the change of coach. Leverkusen management will want to fight for the title this season as well. Even if they cannot compete for the title, Leverkusen has the possibility of being in the top 4 of the table.
That won't change anything so long as Bayern Munich is concern, look Bayern Munich is the lion that rules the jungle of the Germain Bundesliga and there's nothing any team can do about that in the league, if any of those teams manage to win the league any season I think that team is fortunate for that season and then Bayern Munich will still take over from the next season and Manny more before anyone can still come up to win it, so firing of coach won't change nothing.
I agree with your opinion, even if another club wins the Bundesliga title, it's usually at the same time Bayern Munich is in decline, which creates an opportunity for another club to surpass Bayern Munich. This happened in the previous two seasons when Leverkusen broke Bayern Munich dominance. However, the following season, Bayern Munich bounced back and managed to regain first place.
So, as long as Bayern Munich doesn't decline, it will be difficult for any club in the Bundesliga to surpass Bayern Munich. So, recruiting a new coach only keeps Leverkusen stable, but doesn't help them fight for the title.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 16, 2025, 12:19:36 PM

Barcelona is in good performance this season. Just imagine what they did to Valencia, a team like Valencia. I knew Barcelona would win the match, but not with many goals like this. 6 goals is a lot. However, Valencia cannot recover from this loss they got from Barcelona. Even if they need it again, they will still experience loss.

Furthermore, you are right that even without some players, Hansi Flick knows how to make a good strategy to work things out in Barcelona. This last one was without Yamal and still went successfully. This is to show that Hansi Flick knows what he is doing, and he does not rely on some certain players; he has a full squad.
Yes Barcelona performance and your points about their squad depth are very sharp. There is however small mix up about match. Barcelona did not win 6-0 against Valencia this season. Their last match against them was 4-2 win in April 2024. Still your main point is completely correct Hansi Flick is known for building strong team that does not depend on just few star players which is great sign for consistently successful team.
It seems you didn't watch Barcelona's most recent match yesterday, which is why you're saying that. @Dzaawafu11 is correct, as Barcelona beat Valencia by a significant margin. You need to research the latest match to avoid misunderstandings.

However, the Barcelona vs. Valencia match can't be compared to Barcelona's meeting with Newcastle, as the two clubs clearly have different performances. Newcastle is certainly a tough opponent for Barcelona, so Barcelona's first match in the Champions League can be considered quite tough, but at least Barcelona has a solid squad to achieve a satisfactory result.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 14, 2025, 04:16:31 AM
We all know that defending Champions League isn't an easy task, if they want to compete at highest level they need to manage players well being, this will help from abstinence of injury as well, most especially on their key players.

PSG is a very good team, but of course defending the title is one of the things that can cause a lot of pressure, in this aspect PSG must act intelligently, Luis Enrique wants to do what he does again, repeat history, he wants PSG to be a very good team and win Ligue 1 and the UCL, they can do it, but it is not easy.

I remember Manchester City when they won the Champions League title for the first time and also won the Premier League title at the same time and in the following season they had a big chance to win the Champions League again for the second time but the reality is not easy for them because the competition in the Champions League is tighter than their own league so I can understand if PSG failed to defend the Champions League title for the second time this season because they also won it last season so they just need to stay in the Champions League and if they can repeat that history by maintaining their good performance then they are truly extraordinary.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 14, 2025, 03:50:00 AM

It was quite unfortunate that they didn't win that champions league trophy last season, that competition for that is very high and it has become more challenging for them to get...Munich are indeed a very impressive team, their position on the board seems to be constantly theirs, dortmond is slightly close to them but Munich is still going to remain at the top and they would still win the league this season
The competition for the Champions League title is very difficult because there are many top teams in their respective leagues, unlike the competition in the Bundesliga where Bayern Munich is undoubtedly always favored in every match, especially last season was the first season for Vincent Kompany so he had to adjust to the team's condition and maybe it's better to win the Bundesliga title than to focus on 2 competitions but not necessarily be able to win in the Champions League at least Vincent can give the Bindesliga title first last season and this season of course the target is to compete more tightly in the Champions League because Vincent has been able to adjust the strategy with his players.

Al Qadisiyah played quite well against Al Hilal, they were able to maintain a tight defense with many shots fired by Al Hilal and they were able to defend well but still managed to score goals to avoid defeat even though Al Qadisiyah was not too aggressive in attacking but their shots were able to produce 2 goals and finally held Al Hilal to a draw. This is a pretty good result for the Al Qadisiyah club because to beat Al Hilal or hold this club to a draw is not easy, but the players were not afraid at all and tried to give their best in the match.

Juventus vs Inter 4-3
A truly fantastic Italian derby full of excitement. My bet on BTTS yes was spot on, but it's a shame for my team Inter, who played well again but didn't get the three points in the standings!
What else can I say... Congratulations to Juventus, who believed in themselves until the very last minute.
What did I tell you, mate? Juventus will win this match, and just like I said, it really happened!
But I want to be honest, Inter deserved to win! There were a couple of incidents that were really on the edge of the rules, I think Kephren Thuram's goal should have been disallowed.
Juventus is indeed more favored in the match because Juventus is in its best form while Inter Milan is still not completely stable after previously experiencing a defeat at home now they have to suffer another defeat for the second time in 3 matches, this is Inter worst result at the start of the season usually they don't get like that but hopefully this is just Inter's defeat when facing an equal opponent and when facing an average team their performance has improved from what I saw Inter Milan attack has started to get good, it's just unlucky when facing Juventus yesterday because they conceded a goal in the final minutes which made Juventus get full points.
