Hello, I'm BRAND new to the BTC world.

I actually tried two transaction types today with BitInstant.  The first was using the moneygram to BTC Address method.  It worked great, and was very fast.  The second transaction was using Dwolla to BTC Address.  It ended with the "MTGox Connection Error".  Seemed to have taken place around the same time as the previous posters here.  Is this something that usually resolves itself, or does it have to be referred to BitInstant support for resolution?

[RESOLVED] 4/2/2013 - 1:30AM -  It took four days and several attempts with support, but I received my BTC.  Unfortunately at a rate about $20 more expensive than the day ordered. Sad

Wow.  Bitinstant took my money Thursday afternoon.  Charlie and Seth have told me in three different responses that the problem is on MtGox's end and should be fixed "very soon".  Meanwhile BTC is trading about $13 higher than when I put in my "instant order".  My patience is wearing thin.  I may make it my personal mission to warn as many people as possible away from "bitinstant" if they don't make things right with me.  I didn't use Bitinstant to have them take my money and then absolve themselves of all responsibility because Gox got DDOS'd.  Part of their service is facilitating that transfer, and for me, they haven't delivered.

Almost 3 days since I used bitinstant. Bitinstant support says all the DDOS'ing of mtgox has got things backed up; but not to worry, it'll eventually go through. Can't say I'm very reassured at this point. Currency trading is time-sensitive. I could understand and deal with a delay of a couple hours, but days?  The BTC industry is obviously going through some growing pains. I hope it comes out ok on the other side.

Charlie,
I have had a stuck order since yesterday and have contacted you via support@bitinstant.com, charlie@bitinstant.com, and via PM on this site. I would appreciate a reply, (even an automated one) to maintain faith in your service.

Thanks,
Ian

Yes, it seems they have to manually process your order with Dwolla.

Thanks, I guess I'll throw an email to support@bitinstant.com.  I bet they have a heck of a backlog right about now. Sad

I had the same thing happen to me today with a Dwolla to BTC address transaction.  It ended with the "MTGox Connection error" error.  Guess I'll send an email to support.

I did another transaction using the Moneygram method, and it worked fine.
