Are Pepes allowed?
Yes, but I like this server because Pepes aren't the main focus like in most of them. most of the emojis are pepes This describes 95% of Discord servers. Kek, pepe will never die, pepe is the ultimate form of expressing emotions

I love that @everyone and @here is suppressed on this server. I hope it doesn't become the norm for every discord server to allow it's users to spam @everyone over and over. Top tier bitcoin trading advice on this server, as everyone else has commented. But even more important is that the community is awesome, everyone's glad to help and share advice as long as you don't shitpost. The offtopic section would be very attractive for people that love arguing politics or ethics since that's what makes up a majority of it's content, it's always great to be able to argue with others without the chat devolving into shitposting. In the name of pepe, BTCUMP!

Contrary to what other people are saying here, I think you should keep the coin suffix. "Pascal" is too generic, making searching for it hard, adding coin makes it obvious you're referring to the cryptocurrency. Taking away the coin suffix will also have to make people search for two things as it is known as "Pascalcoin" for the time being. I frequent the Burstcoin community and it has the same problem, to search for Burst I have to use both "Burst" and "Burstcoin" as my search terms. Cheers.

Do we know If we are able mining through the wallet with XEON Phi co-processor
You can mine with any CPU but it's not worth it now because of GPU mining. The XEON Phi is 72 core processor but they would not show up beside your CPU for the Pascalcoin wallet. While it would be amazing to see how fast it could hash blocks, I don't think it is compatible with the software. these 72 core cpu's are like gpu's in design, utilizing pci express slots...maybe when time comes CPU mining won't die/phased out easily and we will have nvidia, amd, and cpu miners competing for hash... one problem, it seems pretty expensive, don't know price per hash ratio of these CPU cards though. They used to go really cheap on Amazon but they ran out of stock and the price went back up. These are not like GPU's, it's a 72 core/288 thread (best model) arrangement of Airmont processors. And to use it for pascal mining it must be compiled for it specifically. Good thing is it has AES-NI and runs x86 code so porting is not hard. But it is not worth mining with them, 288 threads*300kh/s = 86.4MH/s, not much compared to GPU's. That's not even factoring in the cost, these things are expensive!

Wow, the difficulty shot up recently. Currently mining ~8 blocks/day @ 11000kH/s

Could someone explain the benefit of not needing historical operations? Will that make the transactions anonymous? Also wondering what the pending operations are and why some have fees?
Thanks
Far smaller safebox hash size and protection against double spend/other vulnerabilities by design.

Started running at 5x what I was before, still havent found a single block... or more accurately, I'm finding blocks and they arent being listed, just thrown away. Also got the same time message as everyone else
UPDATE: Took 2 days (whereas running at a fifth of the power got me 2 blocks in one day) but I finally got another block - how do I decode/save/whatever I'm supposed to do to ensure I don't lose the reward again when I close the application? Or am I not supposed to do anything and the lost 2 blocks before was just a glitch..?
another update: What I mean is I had 2 accounts with 100 pascal coins each, and all the empty accounts in between. When I reopened the application they were gone. I'm afraid to close my application now, out of fear of losing my coins again. What do I do to prevent this?
To prevent losing your coins, save the private key you used to mine it! Your situation sounds weird, go through your private keys in your wallet and make sure it's not generating a new one every time. Also make sure you always use the latest wallet client. I'm mining at 30,270Kh/s and only found 2 blocks in 2 days.. Is that normal?
Definitely not normal, PM the dev with more details and he'll try to help you.

No block found for the last two days: speed ~780Kh/s
Yeah bro last night I only got 5 blocks @ 8200Kh/s.

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!
Hello, I am wondering if pascalcoin has an increasing difficulty for mining. Thank you.
Yes. difficulty is adjusted every block (calculating time average of last 100 blocks) and adjusting to be 5 minutes. So... more miners... more difficult. But, for now, a simple 4 core CPU working 24h mines more than 5 blocks a day... more or less. (Remember to open your 4004 port, is more easy to mine with open port!) Increasing difficulty is confirmed if anyone wanted to know. I edited the thread style a little bit if you want to use it Pascalcoin dev Awesome work man! Definitely going to make it's way to polo with some nice aesthetics can every one post thir blocks, hashrate and time mined so that new and old users can have a aproximation how much to mine per block??? Does you having more payloads to do increase the chances of finding a block?
Go through the whole thread, there are people posting their mining info (including me). Happy mining

Hi! I closed my wallet after it froze and upon reopening lost my 2 blocks and 200 pascal Now I can't seem to mine anything. This is the first coin I've ever tried to mine so I'm not very experienced and it was a lot of effort to set up ahaha what do?! thanks in advance edit: also, when I reopen the application after closing I get a runtime error before it starts. Make sure you have version 1.0.3 of the wallet. To find your accounts, in the wallet click "explore my accounts with one of my wallet keys". Make sure you select the key you were mining with. If your coins don't show up with any of your keys then make sure you take preventive steps like backing up your private key! Happy mining

Imported Private key on to PC and now I see coins that 1 and 2 pc mined from the blocks want to ask why do I need to export import wallet? (when I import private key from 1 pc to pc 2 it saying that wallet already exists) is it enough to have private key, for not loosing your coins, or I need also backup wallet and why function export import needed for wallet?
Yes your private key is what you use to be able to access coins you mined with the key selected. If both PCs have the same private key then all coins mined by both machines are available to any pc with that private key.

How to send and receive pascalcoin in my wallet? I can't find my address... Same here how to receive and send pascalCoin...
Pascalcoin does not use addresses, rather it has an account system. You do not get a free account when you set up your wallet. You receive 5 accounts when you mine a block, with one of them being filled with 100 coins (reward for mining) If your friend who has pascalcoins wants to send you some coins, he has to transfer his coins into one of his spare accounts and transfer ownership of that account to you using your public key.

So iread the white paper and the whole thread and i dont understand several things: 1.I made an assumption thorugh calculations that you need to mine 40k G to get one block. i mined for 5 hours got 40k and got nothing but pending operations what are pending operations? 2Are they my load of work does each request payload give me 1 block or something else? 3.Also none of those pending requests get completed. 4.Very often i get the alone in the world message why is that?It could be mining for hours and suddenly stop or say that there is noconnection to blockchain?I even forwaded athe port. 5. why isnt it mining all the time?
I'm only answering 1 since ICOcountdown answered the rest correctly. 1. The "G" from what I can gather, shows how much you have hashed in total (gigahashes) So 40K G actually means you have hashed 40,000 gigahashes in that session. Coin drops are pretty random from what I've experienced though faster hashrate obviously means you get blocks more often. Make sure you go into the options and set your miner count to max in order to gain more performance. Happy mining

good coin and idea. Can I start mining on 3 different pc with one wallet file?
Yes you can, make one private key and transfer it to the other two computers, then set those computers to use that key. That way when a block is found it is encrypted with that key and that block is accessible by any computer with that private key. Happy mining

Now using clients 1.0.3. First miner work fine. Second give me "alone in the world".
Not sure... Did you try the other way around with the new client too? Can't test at the moment to see if same thing happens here. Maybe router doesn't handle NAT state very well, try using a different router.

I've been hashing with ~21000 kh/s and getting 37 blocks per day (24 hours).
What hardware are you using? Hi Team, I have two computers in my network which is nated to Internet under same global IP address. Issue is, one PC is mining while other dont. If i turn one miner off other work and vice versa. How can I make both miners work?
Are you using clients 1.0.2/1.0.3? They remove the need to port forward.

im kinda starting to be able to connect to network recently sometimes ... i got 4000 kh/s how many blocks should i find a day
I can't say for sure, but based off my experience probably ~11 blocks in a 24 hour period. Keep in mind luck is involved.

Nice processor!
Yeah it's pretty powerful When I mine with 1 core I get ~740 Kh/s When I mine with 8 cores, I get 5800 Kh/s (linear increase) When I mine with 16 cores I get 8900 Kh/s (not linear, supposed to be 11728 Kh/s) It seems mining with more than 8 cores the miner starts getting less efficient.Ill stick with two 8-core instances for now.

Been mining for 13 hours @ ~8200Kh/s and obtained 10 blocks using a Xeon E5 at 3.1Ghz. Also @PascalCoin, does the difficulty for this coin increase over time?
