how is the faucet doing so far?
I'm interested because I want to create one myself, but without google it is very hard to reach profit margins
also I'm concerned about how well is it protected vs bots and other bad people who can drain you worse than your gf after a week of abstinence Smiley

First of all, my gf knows it doesn't have to take a week.  Grin

Faucet is doing alright. Obviously, I don't have a lot of info, since I've only just begun. The faucet has only been in operation for 2-3 days. But I can extrapolate.

The types of ads I have placed are the A-ads. These are not all that lucrative, but for the moment earnings are roughly keeping pace with faucet claims. That's probably more do to the fact that I don't yet have a lot of traffic to the site, but it's very good to know that my ad placement is working efficiently. So the trick is proper scaling. I must be doing something right with the payout structure. But this won't work forever as is.

The other source of revenue would be solvemedia, except that it hasn't made a darnd thing.  Undecided 100 typeins, and yet nothing. I suspect the CAPTCHA isn't producing the commercialized puzzles. That is possibly due to either cheap traffic, or not enough original content for its algorithm to detect the 'right' type of ad, or both.

As for security and concerns of bots, the plugin comes with tools for blacklisting specific addresses as well as IP ranges. And the best thing is the logs and statistics show a good amount of information of specific accounts. This way I can investigate further into certain accounts that show behaviors of bots or drainers. And the claim button is dynamic too; never in the same spot twice as to avoid certain bots.

You might think that is not enough protection, but I asked Ofir about this. He responded saying that in his experience, the blacklist works well enough.

Hi JD, thanks for reaching out to me. I like your faucet and have added in our top section. Personally I think your structure is the best model for faucet payouts: low initially and for occasional users, but rewarding refs and continued use more highly. Looks great! And thanks again Smiley
Holy cow! Thanks for the glowing praise, and putting me up there with the big dogs on your list like moonbit.co.in and freebitco.in. I'll do my hardest to live up to potential. After a month or so to gauge gross revenues, ill make adjustments to further bring in the traffic I.E. reducing the payout timer, higher satoshi rewards, increase the referral commission, and more!

Thanks for replying! The way the WP faucet plugin is set up is an interesting hybrid of sorts. It does pay out through faucetBox. However, each account held is stored in the domain's database, meaning FaucetBox does not see any claims until they are submitted by the admin. This method means FaucetBox doesn't withhold my wallet balance because  someone claimed a small amount and never reach the threshold, since the plugin only sends the addresses over the threshold.

Thanks for the pro tips veleten. I was using 99's faucet as a guide for add placement. Even that site you get smacked with a pop up every so often. But that's fine. I'm taking the popup ads down tonight, and thin out some of the adds.

Yes that plug in is pretty awesome. If Ofir puts some time into the backend user interface, and maybe update detection, it would be golden.

Is that how you see it? Maybe I should go a month without the pop up and see where my revenues sit then. And your withdraws are automatic. Every Sunday the accounts over threshold are sent to FaucetBox to be processed. I updated the post.

Keep giving me feed back so that I can improve this. Thanks!
