1  Economy / Economics / Re: Easywallet on: November 01, 2018, 03:58:36 PM
What happened to coins that were stored on Easywallet? Are they gone forever?
I mean gone forever from the hands of the customer and now in the hands of the disappeared easywallet team?

Is there anyone who is interested in selling a villa in Bali in exchange for bitcoin?
The buyer is a US citizen. His wife is a dual citizen of Indonesia and US.

4  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Mining]Avalon Reselling and Hosting Plan on: December 27, 2013, 04:39:52 PM
Just to clarify.

The buyout offer is a separate amount.

We will still get our share of the already-mined coins that have not yet been distributed. Right?

Thanks.

I hope we can get the next payout before the end of the year

OK your points are well-taken.

I'll share some facts.

When it came time for the decision, HR strongly recommended that we take the refund and I was leaning towards going forward with taking delivery. In the end, I said I would go with whatever he decided. But my understanding that the final reason not to take the refund was the worry that the refund would not come. Did those who requested refund actually GET refunds?

As for the delay in payouts, I get your point. To me it doesn't matter as BTC "cash-flow" is not the issue, but final eventual payout is the issue.

We got screwed by Avalon.

If the Avalon people had the same ethics and honor as HorseRider, we'd be celebrating our prosperity right now.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Dice-generated random numbers and conversion into private/public key pair on: September 19, 2013, 03:55:46 AM
I am familiar with using bitaddress.org to generate addresses. I am not sure how the random numbers are generated.

If I want to use dice to tediously generate a 260 bit random number, how can I use that random number to generate a private key / public address?

I have no programming expertise. Thanks!!
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: In the long run, bitcoin will be worth $0. on: April 27, 2013, 06:41:16 PM
Over time, as competing currencies show their worth, you can gradually acquire the new currencies using your BTC holdings, which by that time, may be worth several thousand US$ each.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might create a prisoners dilema problem among the most powerful elites? on: April 21, 2013, 06:50:02 AM
Some economics buffs might recognize this as the same mechanic that prevents cartels from being able to price fix in a free market.
But they still price fix. Just look at cable and phone bills. Data usage plans and text plans.

Sending texts actually costs wireless providers nothing. Every time your phone checks for a signal, it sends an echo request consisting of 160 gibberish characters, and does this around every second. When you send a text, instead of sending gibberish, it sends meaningful text. The "cost" to the provider is literally zero. You might ask yourself, then, why doesn't one service provider just offer free texting and gain a huge competitive advantage over all the other companies? Then they would all have to offer free texting to survive, but none of them want to. So... price fixing is alive and well, whether legal or not.

This assumes that the phones companies operate in a true free market. In a true free market (without government-imposed artificial barriers to entry) then YES, entrepreneurial small companies could easily start up and try their luck by competing with free texting. If it's feasible to be profitable doing that, then they would gain market share and thrive and other companies would have to compete with them, possibly offering free texting as well.

Where are these so called "announcements" to be found, please?

Thanks.

You could make or lose won ton of money when the coin dumpling gets going.

We just received BTC today for the $1500 that we deposited on Apr 02.

So that is resolved.

The problem is that it was executed at a price around ~$190 rather than ~$120 when we first bought it.
That is a big difference. How do we submit a ticket to resolve this? Thanks.

Can you provide me with more info regarding your order?  Smiley

ABSOLUTELY. What specific information do you wish? I gave you the order #'s, the account #'s already, the amounts collected and the dates in the PM. I can repeat all that here. What else is there? Thanks.

Ursay, thank you for putting me on your list and corresponding with me via PM.

If you resolve my problem today, and get us the coins we paid for on Apr 02 at the correct rate at the time, I will gladly tip you 0.2 BTC!!   Smiley

Ursay has been in PM contact with me, but I'm not getting any specific answer as to what the next step is. I will be patient.

My story is that several of my friends (per my advice) made ZipZap Moneygram deposits on Apr 2. They each paid $500. The money was taken and acknowledged, but still no BTC in their wallets.

In any case, as long as we know they are working on it, then we'll be patient, but we want some reassurance we will get the proper exchange rate at the time our money was taken and that we won't be ripped off with getting things calculated according to today's rate or something like that.  -_-

Still waiting for $1500 worth of MoneyGram/BitInstant/ZipZap funds. Money gone. No BTC in wallet.
These were three separate transactions of $500.

Sent multiple messages to tech support. No response, other than an initial one saying the BTC would be in the wallet in a few hours. This was days ago.
Sent 2 PM's to Ursay with the detailed information. No response yet.

What's the next step?

I have already invested 330 BTC in HorseRider's  Avalon Resell/Hosting pool.

May I please be released from quarantine so that I can participate in any crucial discussions concerning the group?
Many thanks.

I was able to join a mining project here. Look forward to getting out of quarantine so I can join the communications.
