YOYOW is a blockchain based media content producing and sharing platform, named from“You Own Your Own Words”. By rewarding content producers, YOYOW accumulates high quality content and develops its own community.

Why YOYOW is blockchain based?
Blockchain is a distributed database that maintains a continuously-growing list of ordered records called blocks. By design blockchains are inherently resistant to modification of the data — once recorded, the data in a block cannot be altered retroactively. This is what YOYOW needs as a media content producing platform.
What are the business model of YOYOW?
YOYOW can be looked as a media platform, and the tokens are actually the shares of the whole platform. Part of the shares will be distributed to the contributors, who are platform builders, content producers, diggers and promoters, to encourage users to produce more high quality content, thus attracting advertisers and content purchasers. All income of the platform will be distributed to share holders.
How the contribution is evaluated and how the profits are distributed?
A fixed amount of tokens are released daily, and they are distributed among all users according to the contribution. The contribution evaluation mechanism is based on voting, in other words, it’s all decided by shareholders. To note that initial shares owned by developers' team will not participate the voting.
What are the rights and interests of shareholders?
Similar to traditional corporations, shareholders have the right to:
Share all profits from all kinds of platform income, including advertisement and content selling
Vote for committee to determine the major change of system parameters
The difference with traditional corporations is all the operations are transparent and in real time on blockchain, which is much more reliable and efficient.
What are the profit model of YOYOW?
As a decentralized autonomous corporation(DAC), YOYOW is designed to feed itself by the following means:
Advertisement: Advertisers need to buy and burn YOYOW tokens to post their advertisement.
Transaction fee: trading, market prediction and internal gaming all produce transaction fee.
Premium member service: YOYOW will provide value-added service by means of system plug-in. Free users need to buy the service to become premium member.
What about the content regulation?
YOYOW is designed to obey local laws, therefore, the content regulation is necessary. Specifically, YOYOW maintains the display of content by means of:
Illegal content will be recognized by certain algorithms and be filtered out on front end UI.
Shareholders can downvote illegal content to make it not displayed on UI.
Blockchain fork could be exploited for severe violation of rules.
What’s the difference between steemit and YOYOW?
For bottom layer implementation, both are using Graphene toolkit.
YOYOW focus on Chinese community where the influence of Steemit is weak.
For the product logic, steemit is more like a blockchain version reddit, whereas YOYOW is more like a blockchain verison Quora.
How the data of YOYOW are saved?
All text and link information are saved on blockchain.
Pictures, videos, songs are saved on centralized server. Also, IPFS network is another choice for better security and privacy.
Is YOYOW decentralized?
In terms of content regulation, YOYOW is centralized.
In terms of shares distribution and managing, YOYOW is decentralized.
After YOYOW survive the early stage, it will aim to gradually get decentralized to become a DAC.
How the tokens are distributed?
The details of total amount and distribution mechanism will be announced together with ICO plan, please be patient. After all tokens are distributed, the investors, the developers and content rewards will occupy 1/3, respectively.

Do you provide the ICO, and to develop this project for the future ?? I want to know this project in the future will be like what is in want, and I still want to see it on this thread ..   The devs are working on some key features which are innovative but challenging. Once the main issues are resolved, we will start ICO. Thanks for your attention. |

 I like the idea of steemit, but I don't like its official team, who are way too greedy. So, if YOYOW is designed to be the improved version of steemit, I will definitely participate. Looking forward to more details.
For sure YOYOW will be better than steemit how come? what's the difference between yoyow and steemit? more "fair" distribution isn't enough, buddy. still can not figure out how you win this game so far. |

I'm not sure but it looks just like the POT of steemit.
Why don't you guys just join steemit team?
PoF is more like a mixed mechanism with both POS and POC(Proof of Content), the details are described in the non-technical-white-paper. YOYOW is very different from steemit, but they do have something in common---both of them are based on Graphene bottom codes. How about the technical whitepaper, will you release it? Additionally, when will you have ico? 250M for ico, 100M for bounty and airdrop, 300M for the team....... The worst distribution I have seen. + 100 million for Platform operation foundation greed is strong with this project 1/3 of initial tokens for ICO, but many "investors" seem to like it, well... You may misunderstand the 100 million for operation foundation. This fund is only used for upvote/downvote to maintain the order of YOYOW system, but will never be cashed out. What you mean with "maintain the order of YOYOW system" ...? When talking about money I'd rather never say never Let's imagine YOYOW is worth 100 million USD - how are you going to stop anyone, who has access to a substantial part of such amount, to not cash out? The rule of YOYOW is that the tokens of foundation will be frozen and used only to upvote/downvote the published contents by volunteers/moderators. This is guaranteed by code. |

Great one maybe dev can thinking about this bounty (Scam Bounty) LOL  new one PROOF OF FLOW how can be this work? dev should more explains about this project Considering the complexity of this project, it is still in early stage. We will update the details gradually, and welcome to any discussion. PoF is a mechanism that evaluates the media content by the network traffic it brings to YOYOW platform, as the profit comes from advertisement. In other words, we sell advertisement position, and then reward the content producers who make network flow，for example, click-through rate. What does that mean exactly? Advertisers get more network weight from clicking their ads? The advertisers will be the only ones who will be getting rewards for securing the network? What about cheating, like clicks by bots on the ads from the same publisher? More details and technical white paper please... If you are familiar with google advertisement, you will not be confused by this part. Basically, the rewards v.s. clicks are based on some curves that are realized by certain algorithms. Content producers, curators will get rewards too, just like steemit. |

On YOYOW, the only standard to evaluate the contribution of users is the value of bringing network traffic to the platform --- proof of flow (PoF).
Like if DDoS were not already enough of a problem, ladies and gentlemen, I present you "Proof-of-Flood", the only scheme that incentivizes spam attacks, sybil attacks, and bot-nets! If you can't beat them, join them! "Proof of flow" means effective traffic flow, which brings value to YOYOW system. For example, popular writer that brings advertisement clicks. |
