1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][RMC]Ride My Car / Ride Share / proof of journey / on: September 30, 2016, 03:57:31 AM
Having spent many years carpooling I like this concept. Gonna get some coins for sure!
2  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: September 28, 2016, 01:06:48 AM
Probably still very small, even 5% is unlikely.. it's only a bit more than 3 years away..

Erm, seriously would you feel comfortable sitting in somebody's car who you don't know the name of? Sure you have his reg, but even then how would you know it's not some crook who stole the car and is about to kidnap you?

That's where all the fun is though..

Err no thanks, I'd rather have them do some id checks n what not before I use it. I know crypto is all about being free and anonymous but that doesn't work here.

Would you trust your wife to use this knowing absolutely anybody could be behind the wheel?

Will there be a subsidy or stipend given to early adopters?
Uber has been subsidizing journey's to stay competitive, same as DiDi in China..
Perhaps some early bird bonus in the crowdfund you mention?

5  Other / Off-topic / What is the secret to success? on: September 23, 2016, 11:07:40 PM
I've always wondered what is it that breeds the super successful persona. Looking at the richest people in the world, I feel like maybe we forget about the people who can also be considered successful but just not rich. Perhaps a different idea of success is necessary?
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: September 22, 2016, 01:02:15 AM
It matters when you bought in the 1k+ range
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Fed Does Nothing: Gold and Bitcoin to Benefit? on: September 22, 2016, 12:45:39 AM
...

Our pals at the Federal Reserve did nothing (ie, did not raise interest rates from the close to zero where we are now).  Their infamous "dot plots" (member predictions of rates for the next couple of years) show their expectations of rates for a long time.  Low!

One would think this will benefit gold (approx. $1335 now) and Bitcoin ($600).

Any guesses?

I guess screwing over the middle class and creating free money is too cushy to end now..
8  Economy / Economics / Re: The new British five pound note on: September 22, 2016, 12:31:15 AM
I actually really like the new 5 pound note. It's so rare to see one right now that it's probably worth a tad more than 5 pounds!
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bankers will destroy block chain tech, decentralization, bitcoin? on: September 21, 2016, 03:49:45 AM
The idea of bitcoin is to avoid banks, but everybody is too concerned about it's fiat value.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transfer Fees Will Go Up With Time - How Can This Affect BTC Market on: September 21, 2016, 12:22:22 AM
Will the fee's eventually make BTC less competitive compared to other remittance solutions?
