460 have half the memory bus width and half the core of 470, so expect max 50% speed of 470.
Real speed is 15.5mhs at 1300/2100. 21mhs would need memory at 3000mhz.

I have the SAPPHIRE PULSE RX 580 8GB HYNIX. I modded the bios copying the 0:1750 string to 0:2000 and 0:2250, this gives me 25,5 m/h, and 27 with core at 1100 mem at 2150 and vcore at -96 and powerlimit at +30. i found this http://1stminingrig.com/best-bios-rom-for-sapphire-pulse-rx-580-8gb-oc-hynix-memory-30-mhs/ but my firmware is 256kb and has different timings, mine does not have 1:x og 2:x so i can't use it. Any suggestions to getting this to 30m/h? These cards are strange. I've tried using 1500 straps and running them at 1250/1800 for 25.5mhs. The 1750 strap allow the mem to clocked at 2050+ but still give only 25.5mhs. I've also tried playing with the powertune settings in the bios, rasing tdp/tdc/max powerlimit/small powerlimit with no effect on hashrate. It's all about timings... those basic copies straps aren't fastest. The funny thing is that my MSI 470 Gaming X and Sapphire 470 Nitro+ with Hynix can mine at 29-30mhs, but the same strap on the Sapphire 580 8g pulse only run do 25.5mhs, even at the same clock speed 1250/2050. |

Or big miners just getting their cards through different channels. I'm buying 4x 1060 3gb cause it's not so worse than rx470 (like 20%), but instead of 150w it burns only 100w, so in the end it will burn less power. And I can actually sell nvidia after prices go too low to mine, with satisfactionary price and when they dump all rx's it will be half price again like with 7950 in 2014-15.
Which 1060 are good? Is there anything to look out for? Like Samsung ram??? |

What are max stable clocks for Hynix and Samsung ram? My best Hynix max out at 2050MHz and Samsung at 2200MHz.

No cards available but difficulty is increasing? Someone is adding 100,000's of cards but nothing is moving thru the retail chain. Too me it's sounding like AMD is mining ethereum themselves and just delaying shipments. |

it's the same in the US right now unless you want to pay this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA85V5MP6059any place IVe looked in the US it's hard to find a good Price for a AMD Card all the places i looked at are either out of stock or have only one two cards on sell at very high prices, they normally don't sell for. NV cards seem to be the only ones on sell from GTX 1060 and up at reason able prices ... I don't know what happen ? does any one else ? . i can't fine much on the WEB why . Was it something our ass holes leader did during his 9 day event they May have screwed the US . Just buy the cards now for $500 and return them 2 weeks later  I think Amazon does 30 day returns. |

Have you installed Windows in UEFI mode with GPT bootsector? If not erase the disk and reinstall drivers.
Have you tried different version of risers? My latest batch of 006c risers have really crappy USB 3.0 cables and only work in some PCIE slots.
I've just build 4 MSI B250 PC mate rigs and all 4 only worked with 3 video cards. Two center PCIE slots needed older risers.

If you need cards now, buy some RX 560 4GB and return them in two weeks when RX 570 are available. Just make sure you can return them. I think Amazon has 30 day return policy.

These old cards are only suitable for big server power supplies. Expect 150-250W from 280x, and 250-400W from 290x. All my 290x rigs run triple power supplies (ATX + 1200W + 1200W). 4x 290x 1130/1250 129MH/s mining ETH 1250w from the wall using 2x 1200W server power supplies, dual mining 1700w If you need cards now, buy some RX 560 4GB and return them in two weeks when RX 570 are available. Just make sure you can return them. I think Amazon has 30 day return policy. |

Wholesalers have +1000 card orders waiting, so I don't know how long the shipment will last. I know there more cards available in Australia, but shipping/vat is not worth it. I've tested some RX 560 Sapphire 4GB and they run 14.5MHs 1300/2100, so half the speed of RX 470 and 60W at stock voltage. You might still be able to find some cheap RX 560 and put them into some cheap Dells/HP. Have you considered used R9 290X or R9 280x?? |

@Socket54 , i think you are having problem with the power draw...check cables and everything....if you elemenate all problems with cabling, try mesuaring inside you PSU, capacitors etc with multimeter
@CharNoir , try with significant downclock on the memory of the problematic card, or maybe slight downclock, you can check what are the best settings after a while...for exemple, my 7970 is stable on 1300 Mhz (patched bios) , but sometimes i can run for hours with 1315 Mhz....
I got it worked out thus far. Rig has been running smoothly since yesterday evening. Here is the power draw readout. from my Corsair RM1000i. With 2x reference XFX RX480, 1x XFX RX 580 GTR black edition.  Software is rubbish at measuring the actual power usage of your rig. What? Have you every used a Corsair power supply? I don't think so...... |

I've setup this on my 3GPU rig. it runs fine.
I have a simple question: what should I enter in the fields of overclock setup? I want my GPU's run with different clocks because of heat issues. That field only allows one value for all gpus. I tried to enter values seperating with , (comma) but it did not work.
This works: 1250,1150,1100 This does not work: 1250, 1150, 1100 1250.11150.1100 Still did not work. is there any file that I can modify inside the rig? I can find my way around linux with ssh. (Actually I do not have any running windows computer, all my computers run linux) login: root password: miner1324 |

Hello mining community, I would like to ask for some help. Recently bought a mining rig 6x RX 480 https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/8GB-PowerColor-Radeon-RX-480-Red-Dragon-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_1124443.html I am using Biostar TB85 motherboard, 12 GB RAM, EVGA 1300w, 120ssd, intel celeron 2x2.8GHz, windows 10 64. I have this problem. On minute after I start claymore miner hashrate on one card drop to 0 and I get report - GPU hangs in opencl call - Need to restart miner. I am searching for solution for couple of days already. - I tried different GPU drivers, if I try to install 17.3 or 17.4 crimson computer crash. - Virtual memory is on 16GB. - If I start a miner without this card which lost hashrate then same thing happen to other 5 cards, hashrate drop to 0 on all 5 cards. - I reinstall windows and all drivers, still same issue - I switch cables and cards, nothing positive happen. - tried other miners, pools, old version of claymore miner.. - tried function -gser -eser Tried probly everything i could find on google, still no solution. Not sure if that is specific problem of motherboard, graphic card? other parts are more or less standard mining parts and probly have nothing to do with that problem. Hop someone can help or give any proposition what should I do or try. Thank you Best regards Don't just plug in 6 cards and expect it to work. Don't randomly remove cards, windows drivers don't like it. Test each card and pcie slot individually. That is how everyone else does it. I'm averaging 1 faulty card per 10 new cards. Most fail within 10 days. |
