1  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Kripto debitne kartice on: December 14, 2023, 04:38:07 AM

Bitcoin? No need to ban it, we are going to regulate it out of existance.

Mene neki dan prijatelj pitao za mišljenje o ovom "projektu"

Rekoh, to nije altcoin već test inteligencije.

Jel tko probao Bitstamp->HPB u zadnje vrijeme?
Koja banka u hrvata radi najmanje problema?
Ima li tko iskustva sa isplatom putem Bitstamp->Revolut?
Zahvaljujem.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak-JK 2.10.1 Compiled with no devfee (Updated: 2019-3-12) on: March 16, 2019, 03:53:29 PM
Sorry for being slightly OT, first time Monero miner.
Looking at XMR-Stak benchmarks page for Nvidias, it seems to me that the same OC method that works best for ethash is also best for cryptnonight: maximum memory OC and minimum core.
So something like 80PL, +700 memory and -100 core would be best?
Thanks.

In calculating the odds of getting a minting (PoS) reward, there are a few things that are taken into account. The first is that you must wait 30 days after a transaction before those coins are eligible for minting.

Not for long. See here: https://www.reddit.com/r/curecoin/comments/9tz6x0/hardfork_code_to_20_is_complete_release_has_been/
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum EIP 1234 accepted on: September 02, 2018, 04:01:42 AM
just a few ideas / facts
1ş Constantinople will be applied in winter 2019. So still 1 year and 2 months away more or less. Many things can happen

2ş Reward per block reduced to 2 ETH. If in 1 year ETH is at the same price, it will be an absolute NO GO for miners (although it's already a NO GO).

The reduction go into effect only in 14 months?

This Ocotber.
OP is clueless.
Also block time will be reduced from 10 to 7 minutes, so drop in profitability will not be 30%.
Somebody please correct me with relevant links.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Fork | Mining Algorithm Change? | Bitmain Overvalued | GPU vs ASIC on: September 01, 2018, 07:20:08 AM
they are making wrong decisions.

alot people are going to suffer. except the devs.

we need to push for a progpow fork iff the main chain in october

and how exactly should we "push"?
endless github post obviously did nothing

the only way they would listen is by abducting vitalik and sending his nimble fingers one by one in the mailbox
since majority of investors voted for issuance to be reduced to 1ETH I guess we should count ourselves lucky that a "consensus" was reached

and regarding "ASIC resistance":

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Conference Call Today, Chances of Anti ASIC being approved on: August 25, 2018, 04:55:40 AM
Investors are blaming the miners for drop in price and THEY will ultimately decide.
https://www.coindesk.com/a-phone-call-could-impact-ethereums-future-and-its-happening-today/
Quote
Two proposals on the agenda for Friday's meeting seek to reduce issuance — something some ether holders believe is too high. (Currently, the inflation rate is fixed at 3 ETH per block — down from 5 ETH since last October.)

While there's a host of ethereum investors who have yet to publicly comment on the matter, several investors have taken to social media to call for a reduction in ethereum issuance, contending that the current inflation rate is an unnecessarily high tax on the holders of the cryptocurrency.

For example, some are pointing to a quote attributed to the creator of ethereum Vitalik Buterin in 2017 that states: "In the foreseeable future, the supply will not go far above 100 million," a figure which as now been surpassed.

Others are going so far as to blame the inflation rate as the reason for ether's market value decline, which hit a 2018 low of less than $300 earlier this month.

Expect block reward to be reduced to 1 ETH.

How will it not be mineable?
Hybrid casper is 90% POW, 10%POS.
The only problem is that they are AGAIN contemplating reducing miner rewards.

Greetings gentleman,
is there any way to disable logging permanently, so I do not have to run #no logs# command after reboot?
Thank you.

Kopija, I don't see the hashrate decreasing but increasing since november 2017.
I'm reading it wrong ?

Of course it was increasing, everybody and their grandmother were buying new gpus in that period.
Just check the Nvidia sales in that article I linked.
It peaked in May and decreased in April.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Guys dont want to say anything , but metroid might be right :) on: April 25, 2018, 04:20:06 PM
Why is hashrate decreasing then? It should be going upupup as Bitmain adds your mythical asics.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Guys dont want to say anything , but metroid might be right :) on: April 25, 2018, 01:11:30 PM
"Bitmain ETH ASIC" is not an ASIC, look here for some hard data:
https://blog.bitmex.com/nextstageinmining/
And POS is a highly dubious, potentially dangerous and hard to implement IDEA
https://blog.bitmex.com/complete-guide-to-proof-of-stake-ethereums-latest-proposal-vitalik-buterin-interview/
Also, a move to POS would make ETH tokens fall into "securities" category.
https://news.bitcoin.com/ether-ripple-doomed-as-securities-according-to-regulation-expert/
I think ETH POS will not become a reality any time soon.

Some hard data re: ETH ASIC from Bitmex research team.
TLDR: its not an ASIC, but its also not an GPU.
Nice charts to kill some FUD, though.
