1  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Titan Mint Bitcoin Coin Co- CEO Tim Fillmore - Scam Thread on: Today at 04:36:18 AM
Can anyone confirm if Tim stated that he kept the PKs of all the Titans in a security safe? If so, I think this is very serious and everyone should peel their coins. If anyone knows whether this is true, please confirm and share.

On page 17 of the OG thread there’s discussion about how with the 2FAs his website would show coins funded, but go to block explorer or whatever type in pub key and you can see he moved coins. “Quite RealHummer - everyone shoukd check blockchain as it looks like a bunch was moved on 11-15-22 all to the same addy”.

In OG thread I can’t seem to view all pages on mobile. I got on the thread on a desktop but am logged out (w out my login info atm), don’t see view all threads again , or perhaps is cuz it’s locked or too many pages or whatever the fck but if you know how type in “bank vault” im pretty damn sure I’ve got screen shots of his website where he talked about having keys in a vault. I know for a fact this was said somewhere and i mentioned in the thread somewhere..can’t remember if he specified having done so for just 2FA or all coins.  But I would ask, does it even matter ? He’s a scamming piece of shit regardless … sorry too busy atm to go page by page searching for key words. If you or no one else does in next few days I will when I can

Tons of typos I’m sure ^ apologize , busted this out quickly

Edit : “ Jordan on August 30, 2015 at 6:42 am
I bought some more Titan coins to give away as gifts and asked them about BIP38. Their president answered my email (albeit like 3 days later) and explained that because the coins are resold, encrypting the private key means that they can’t guarantee the value of the coin anymore. If the encryption password is lost, or if the seller doesn’t give it to the buyer, the bitcoin is never transferred. Honestly, after reading up on it, BIP38 seems like its good for personal paper wallets, but its the wrong thing for physical coins. I wouldn’t have investigated though if it wasn’t for your reply, so thank you.

I did ask about the “Recommending 2-factor” thing too. He said that people that don’t know about bitcoin yet often screw things up, like peeling off the hologram and throwing away the private key for example. If you don’t know what a private key is, then the 2-factor coin is “recommended” because you might lose the bitcoin value out of ignorance. I guess this has happened to people? Anyway, that’s not for me as I prefer unencrypted private keys.

I would suggest you get rid of the SCAM label for this company. They’ve been super cool and they’re phone number and address is on the packing slip when you buy stuff from them. It’s your website of course,

but these guys are not scamming.” https://benvanbitcoin.wordpress.com/2014/04/17/scam-titan-bitcoin/

I’ve never once heard of anyone even coming close to peeling a coin and throwing away the key / holo- Tim planned this from the get go. If this doesn’t click for people that that’s the case , seek cognitive impairment help - every Titan coin should have been peeled long ago. What if Tim kept all keys in the vault and not just 2FA “well if he had regular PK coin keys he’d have peeled those long ago” flawed logic. His 2FA is clearly a scam but there’s shreds of plausible deniability that could keep his fines and or jail time down. He slowly played this game for years “oh website is just down it’ll be up again soon” likely paid off a feel coin holders to keep them quite , and I believe did have his website redemption available on and off but Jesus Christ at this point is all so muddled I can’t remember nor honestly care as it’s Irrelevant from my viewpoint.  Now I ask... Let’s say Tim moves Dubai or the British Virgin Islands , stole all coins as he had saved all keys , wtf is anyone going to be able to do about it? NOTHING…eventually statue of limitations kicks in and he comes back home.  Sounds like a wild story that’ll never happen right ..Rob , blockchain mint/cold storage coins and 1k other company names under his tutelage did just this. He moved to Singapore to scam from there and avoid legal issues. Moved back , right after Singapore struck a deal w the U.S. to allow extradition.

Here I am bn a parrot again in hopes one person might wake the f up who hasn’t.

Side note rant - This is why IMO no one should buy the new Satori coins that force funding (sizable amount) and there’s some sorta 2FA involved/ pdf/ website involvement needed to redeem, in at least one of the versions. Either way Moto is running this release very oddly considering he’s been such a strong smart advocate of btc for so many years and understands the collectible space very well.. then goes and makes shit like their upcoming drop , and tho STILL no official sale price, all talks of what it’s “likely to be around from sources in the know “ is ridiculously high.

I know this is all wild to hear from me , first time expressing concerns over blatant ignoring of sound educated advice. I’ve def become a grumpy asshole so f me and my two Satoshis but I’m far from alone here .. MinerJones has been echoing the same for years now too.

Forced funding and any sort of 2FA is beyond damaging to the hobby and things are getting worse.which is beyond obvious at this pt, so if you still like the hobby, don’t support this kinda bs. Make cool DIY collectibles. Give the option to generate keys fine, but don’t load if you’re a maker.

I could go on and on, I swear, but end rant (sarcasm) .. I just spent a bunch of time I just said I didn’t have cuz I care , not to upset anyone or hurt the hobby.

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin versus real money on: August 26, 2025, 06:53:50 PM
What would you consider "real money".  I personally consider bitcoin as "real money".  Real money is simply in the eye of the beholder.  I would highly recommend/challange anyone who's not already read Nick Szabo's blog about the history of money https://unenumerated.blogspot.com/

In his blog Nick goes through the history of money, where it's value is derived from.  How "new money" coming about has gotten "push-back" throughout time etc etc.  I have also always felt it important that others use bitcoin as money, and not just a store of currency.  This IMO will help with mass adoption.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Satoshi Nakamoto Revealed Himself Tomorrow? on: August 26, 2025, 06:50:10 PM
Imagine you wake up tomorrow open Bitcointalk (or X, whatever) and see that Satoshi Nakamoto just revealed their identity it’s real verified undeniable

Would you freak out?
Would you sell your Bitcoin?
Would it change anything for you?

Personally I don’t even know how I’d react part of me wants to know part of me wants the myth to live on

What about you?

This has been talked about here at length and my feelings have remained the same.  Craig Wright has already revealed himself so Satoshi has already come out and done so , so what are we even talking about??!   Just kidding, Just kidding.

No, I wouldn't freak out, selling all my bitcoin would be ridiculous etc.  But here's the thing, I have absolute complete certainty that this is never going to happen.  Satoshi knew from day one that protecting his identity was vastly important to the success of bitcoin and knows revealing his identity will hurt it's progress.  I just don't see it ever happening.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a way to recover the economy, effective or not? on: August 26, 2025, 06:44:46 PM
Quote

While other countries are trying to ban gambling in their countries, there are countries like Sri Lanka who is trying to use gambling as a way to revive their economy. They are aiming to attract gamblers from India and China to contribute to their tourism. Do you think this will be effective? Do you think it is possible to revive a failing economy just from gambling revenue? Would you be willing to travel to Sri Lanka to gamble?

I think that it can certainly help, sure.  Here in the United States there's been two major things that have been legalized lately to help bolster/boost the economy and that's been the sale of marijuana and legalization of gambling.  Now here in the United States there's both "federal" laws as well as "State" laws, and ultimately State laws win out (Unless the federal gov wants to step in for whatever reason and then they CAN technically overrule States)..so many States have profited heavily from the legalization of these things which has been a big win.  So sure, it can help.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 26, 2025, 06:38:21 PM
So far I have morvillz7z and nutildah as no for sleeper.  I'll count suchmoon as a no also, "hate" is a pretty strong word.  Myself, ChiBitCty, and Hhampuz are yes.  3 to 3 at this point.

I'll count bbc, yahoo, and wheelz as no votes for now, unless I misunderstood.

You have misunderstood. I said I like Yahoo Fantasy and also I presently have also begun to like Sleeper also. If I compare the 2 of them right now and ask me to choose. I will now choose Sleeper. I have spent some time on the platform and I agree with @Hhampuz.

My vote has changed from I do not care, to yes on Sleeper. We can always go back to Yahoo Fantasy next year if we still want this.

@wolf you didn't offend me. I was just stating in general how I feel.  I'm pretty liberal in the sense of not giving a fuck about a lot of stuff like that.  If it doesn't bother me or harm anyone, mehhh.

@BBC, not just because you've switched to want to using sleeper, but I appreciate the fact that you took the time to start using the app and getting use to it and the feel of it and all of that.  It really is the best FF app out there bar none.  As I've stated before, I say we use while it lasts..meaning it's currently be supported (or funded) by private equity firms and it's only a matter of time before it gets sold off to some big company and ruined.

Just like ESPN is going to ruin RedZone..I just know it.  GRRRRRR

EDIT: My first draft is tonight.  It just kinda hit me how close we really are to opening day, almost just a week out, so we better get going on choosing a draft date/time, regardless of platform!
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Am I a bad father for letting my daughter gamble? on: August 26, 2025, 06:32:39 PM
I know most of you might think I’m an irresponsible gambler after reading this. But let me share a bit of my story first....

I started gambling when I was around 10 years old, IIRC. It was because of family influence, and yes I eventually got addicted. Hard to admit, but it’s the truth. over time though, I’ve seen some positive outcomes from my gambling experience. I became wiser, more calculated, and a bigger risk-taker and I was able to apply that mindset in running my own business.

Now, I’m a father, and my 17-year-old daughter is starting to gamble too playing slots and even doing some sports betting. I don’t know how to feel, part of me feels oddly proud of what she’s doing.

What does that make me?

Well first of all I guess it's important to know what the legal gambling age is where you live.  Second, teaching her responsible gambling I think is what it all comes down to.  Now playing slots, in my opinion, is overall a big fat waste of money.  As long as you explain that to her, as there is no skill involved, and explains things like with sports betting or playing blackjack, poker or roulette, where there is skill involved, then that would be helping her to understand the differences in gambling, how to gamble more responsibly etc.

My father never encouraged or "taught" me how to gamble, but he did teach me how to play games like poker.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 24, 2025, 01:54:54 AM
Meh, who TF cares. Its 2025, surely there are some gay people who enjoy the NFL in this day and age. They are not cheerleading in your home, in front of your bowl of cereal. I really doubt they'll be shown on camera unless it is with female cheerleaders also in the frame. And if they are, you'll just have to muster all your emotional strength to get over it.

Exactly, I don’t give two flying fucks and I find it funny how badly it bothers some people. SMH. When the 👽 reveal themselves I’m fine with them being cheerleaders too 😛

Speaking of being bothered by people, why you gotta do me dirty like that with your Kicker comment! Lol. It’s all good, I just hate them and tbh I wish they’d be done away with in the real game too. I mean I understand the conflicting aspect with the name of the game and all but mehh 🤷‍♂️

@wolf - wheelz is in. I’ll talk to him and have him stop by and confirm.

@Hueristic- I had something I wanted to ask you and it was kind of a big deal, FF wise, and i completely forgot. Any ideas ? Lol.  I’ll remember soon enough. Thought by making this post that it might remind me or trigger something to remind me nope, didn’t work. Lol

@bbc- Chase is terrible, you don’t want him 🤭
10  Economy / Collectibles / Re: U.S. Mint Upcoming releases Schedule/Discussion (2025!Eagles) on: August 17, 2025, 09:31:57 PM
This coin has sold out, and is now going for double on eBay. (I’m not flipping, household limit of 1 but I’m an eagle collector).  There’s two more military coins dropping in the fall and on the 20th another special eagle release - https://www.usmint.gov/2025-laser-engraved-american-eagle-one-ounce-silver-proof-coin-25EALE.html/

Just an FYI. Also, not that there’s a collector value but the U.S. post office is selling 250th anniversary stamps of each military branch, makes a cool combo w the coins.

I just learned how to retire if I invest $9000 in Texit.

I already retired thanks to my 1% earnings a day with Bitconnect with their revolutionary proprietary trading algorithm..catch up , rookie 😛

If @Hhampuz, @ChiBitCTy and the others say that Sleeper is better than Yahoo Fantasy, okay for me also. I will start practicing with some mock drafts later and also start creating my list hehe.

The top picks for the 1st round are very much different from our first league. What happened to Joe Mixon, Chubb and Derrick Henry?

Glad to see you back, hopefully we can field 12 this year again. Smiley

I’m sure we could find 1 or 2 more if need be. How many are confirmed so far? I saw the list above but wasn’t sure if those were all 100% confirmed.

Fuck I love this time of year so much !  Hope yall are having a good weekend !

Edit : only rule change I can think of that I’d like to change is no 1st down pts. Oh and I would be thrilled if we got rid of K’s too. Just my 2. Happy to be playing regardless.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 14, 2025, 06:26:54 PM
I have not been paying attention at all lately besides outside, asking hampz who the league was going to be with which I believe he said yahoo which no big dea, just wanted to make sure y’all knew that I am of course in it play again /happy to be in it again this year.  will spend some time later today or tomorrow, digging in past notes just to see where things stand if any changes have been made or if there’s anything I need to vote on, etc. looking forward to another great year guys!
14  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Cold Storage Coins Co. Scam on: August 10, 2025, 01:01:59 AM
Rob at it again, this time it’s “Texit Coin”, which I had previously mentioned here as a heads up for his likely next scam. Now it’s in full scam mode.  First , here’s a great article breaking down the scam, how he’s violating SEC regulations and provides irrefutable proof, this is Rob being Rob..I mean his own name says it all, the irony.  - https://coinmls.medium.com/texit-coin-deep-dive-likely-scam-0e81d7e82ec3
(Texit coin simply copied fellow collector and friend to many of us here Charlie Lee’s Litecoin code, the article discusses this and how he’s making money from that blockchain copy/paste job).

Here’s some videos of him spreading his lies, as well as shills helping do so.  As promised I’m going to keep exposing this piece of human filth, and I’m going to continue to send this thread to legal authorities as well as what I essentially consider accomplices such as JM Bullion, who’ve I’ve made well aware that they are aiding a scammer. Therefore when he comes crashing down, they can’t ever claim plausible deniability.  There’s other third party bullion/coin resellers I will be updating in this thread to expose their non actions as well.  I am tired of living in a world and country where I’ve laid out blueprints to arrest and charge these subhumans, yet nothing is being done. This can’t last forever, can it ..

Robs paid speaking spot at “Bitcoin 2025 conference” (the side conference) - https://youtu.be/taZ1_EbAD4U?si=WUc-f26rPQv-4x5d

“Ready for 1000x returns”- https://youtube.com/shorts/u45dSGHaaZg?si=7yAsNu0GCScJDBCi

Some dipshit YouTuber promoting the Texit cold storage coins- https://youtu.be/0G-Lz1_0q5g?si=PBTDvGB_SlzTZ1QP

Much more to come..

we're in suspense. Please share

I reached out to this person, was asked to email them. Did so. Then got an email back saying something like “wait what was this about again, or something weird like that. So I explained how they signed up on bitcointalk to chat with me specifically about this Rob and how he’s been victim to his LLC scam company’s (like countless others) and never heard back.
15  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Selling high-value (1BTC+) items: in person or escrow? on: July 30, 2025, 05:46:22 AM
Can you update you’re PM settings so newbies can PM you

Done. But please note I'm not interested in selling anything until I am comfortable that I have a relatively secure sales process. I'll make a separate WTS thread then.

Just use escrow...

Again, I would appreciate if anybody has any insights on this. For high value (1BTC+) items it doesn't seem to be "just" a simple process and is the reason for this thread, and why I'm considering an in-person transaction instead.

Shipping high value btc is a bad idea. Terrible idea, actually. Govs have been getting worse and worse with customs seizures. I guess if you’re the buyer and the seller is willing to take all the risks, well then that’s on them. I’d never send anything via mail 1btc +. I would meet at an airport during the day, bring a friend and just let them know you’ll meet at a spot say sizably inside the airport. Share your concerns with recent in person robberies /attempts.  Let them know you know what’s up /what to look for etc.  my last and final in person sale was done this way and the buyer and I had a great experience. We got to nerd talking so much, lost track of time and their sig other was buzz’s them plenty making sure they were all good lol. That said I texted them about the in person scamming and we both agreed we probably wouldn’t do it again. I’ve got a ton of history /trust ..but who’s to say I’ve not been hacked. They seemed legit, we had everything perfectly established and went over as planned to a T..but either way there’s risk and no getting around it,  I suppose you could pay for armor shipping, security, etc..but at what price and loss of anonymity.

It’s a battle we’ve all been coming to grips with the harsh realities of. Also, are you an expert? How would you know for sure if it’s real? This is why I’m anti publishing first bits. Counterfeiting and privacy are bigger issue now that the entire public address list is out there.

DM always open

Edit - should have added we used an escrow. Upon meeting and seeing the coin, we then contact MinerJones, whom had confirmed payment for coin, then handed coin to buyer. It’s late im tired, big detail to leave out lol.
16  Other / Meta / Re: Little things that bug you/me about the forum on: July 29, 2025, 02:09:47 PM
PG (or anyone whom might be able to answer this)..

Maybe a little off topic, I dunno ..forgive me if so.  I’ve suggested to Theymos a few times now that I would love to see r/bitcoin ad a bot that reacted to physical bitcoin/cryptocurrency..perhaps saying something like “I see you’re discussing physical bitcoins, want to learn more, visit the birthplace and an active marketplace on btctalk xxx” .. What originally sparked the idea is when I work on scam busting in the space. In particular I continue to see users there inquiring about Titan Mint BTC, which is an ongoing major fraud case. “Help, I can’t redeem my Titan coin”.  Most often people either have no clue how to help, shit talk, or give false info.  It’s a niche hobby, while growing, but I don’t see this kinda thing not continuing to happen for a long time.

I’m sure you’re aware thymos is the head mod there too and I’ve pitched this idea as a way to help promote the hobby and btalk. Whether he saw it or not I’m not sure, but I can’t be the first to pitch the idea of promoting the forum there in some fashion. I don’t see them as competitors either, for what that’s worth.

That said, could this be “reversed” somehow perhaps? Say we 📍 a topic in collectible where mentions of physical btc’s come up there , and maybe the same w/twatter. For me this would be a service for those people and this forum. This way when someone posts about Titan, I can log in to Reddit, share my Titan scam thread, helping them and promoting the forum simultaneously.

Is this stupid ? We’re buds you can be honest w/me lol.

Thx for all ya do, if I haven’t told ya before , you’re appreciated Wink

Imagine being a dick to someone who makes something for fun. Roll Eyes

Being a jerk is not good either.
If someone cannot handle a neutral opinion, they should not be on a public forum. I did not criticize him, just shared my personal opinion that I would appreciate it if he could use his knowledge to make something useful. If you cannot take both positive and negative feedback about yourself, go back to your house and lock yourself inside a room. No one is going to talk to you.

It’s disappointing to see a forum staff member acting unprofessionally in a public space and calling people out simply for sharing their personal opinions. I thought the forum was meant to promote freedom of speech. But, it seems that the official staff are using the feedback system to silence others. I didn't even criticize the original poster. Mr. Mitchell chose to leave neutral feedback on my profile just because I expressed my feelings.  Cheesy Cheesy

Mitchell    2025-07-29    Reference    Being a dick is not a good look

@theymos, You should start censoring and never claim you support freedom of speech if your staff behave like this. LOL.

C'mon, it's not that we all need useful things - fun stuff is also needed. And everyone have to start from something - usually it's small and simple things. And when they gain experience, they can start making more difficult things.
Yes, I do agree. Where did I mention that fun stuffs are not needed? Did I criticize OP? I shared my personal opinion, buddy. That's it.

I’ve known Mitchell for a decade now and he’s one of the best members of this forum. He’s been staff for a very long time and he’s fair, period. Like all staff. I’ve really not met one whom I didn’t like. As for forum members , the  List goes on far in the opposite direction and you’re on it now too.

Community engagement is important here and fun things like this build a sense of community, and a keeps people wanting to come back. Clearly you’re too dimwitted to understand that..so try doing so, perhaps. Also, Theymos doenst give two fucks about you I can promise you that. Summon all you want, hope you enjoy crickets

Elias has done more for the community than I ever will…how about we take a poll here on that  ?

Elias didn’t write the book and collect info, others did it for him. It’s fn terrible how much bs is in that book. I know nothing? My history, merit, trust score, scam write ups that I’ve spent beyond countless hours working on for the betterment of the community and to no advantage of my own, and countless friends here say otherwise. I am not a bully I’m just willing to say what others are thinking to dumb fucks who are shady like yourself.  I am a watchdog who calls out bullshit because I can see it much easier than most with my training in finance, vast knowledge of the space and it’s what I’ve dedicated my life to doing, exposing scum fucks like you.  You’re an alt sock puppet.
