1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: June 17, 2014, 03:05:11 PM
Not all pre-mined coins are scams, it depends of the purpose of the pre-mining. In this case the money is going to a good cause so I think it would have more legitimacy than most other coins, so long as this is actually an official coin by Max Keiser. McxNow was pretty quick to adopt the coin for trading as well, so at least their is a way to exchange the coins to fund projects. We need sites like StartJoin to get more funding so we can raise the value of all crypto currencies.

Another point I'd like to make is that all Crypto Currencies are experimental including Bitcoin. While I do hold value in several of these currencies it is still just a big experiment. They are not penny stocks, they are even more volatile as they are all prototype protocols/software. There is nothing apparently dishonest going on here, everyone should be aware of the extremely high risk in these currencies. You would be a fool to be completely confident in any of them.

Bump.
4  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB BTC with Skrill/Verified Paypal on: November 25, 2013, 09:02:11 PM
Completed transaction with crudpuppy, fast and smooth. He sent 0.124BTC first and I paid 100$ USD via Paypal.

I won't be transacting any further with Paypal today, but I will still do up to 200$ via Skrill. PM if interested.
5  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC for Paypal (small amounts) on: November 25, 2013, 07:20:58 PM
Sent PM.
6  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC for Paypal (small amounts) on: November 25, 2013, 06:12:09 PM
If you can do Skrill I will buy 200$ worth of BTC off of you.
7  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB BTC with Skrill/Verified Paypal on: November 25, 2013, 06:07:42 PM
Bump. Still buying Skrill or Paypal.

Would be willing to discuss other payment options as well, the only one I can't do for sure is MP because they are not available in Canada.
8  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need advices [WTB][BTC][Paypal] on: November 25, 2013, 05:42:12 PM
The only person I have done a Paypal purchase from is Monbux. You send it as a gift so its more difficult to charge back. That is fairly common I think.

And basically ignore any junior members that are trying to get you to send via Paypal.
9  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I need $220 worth of BTC (Bitstamp price) on: November 25, 2013, 05:28:00 AM
Webslicer told me he couldn't trade today.
i trade every day. but i have limits on the amount of PP i am willing to accept. if you buy with MP i will be happy to exchange for you.

No MoneyPaks in Canada unfortunately. I just assumed you got like a million requests and forgot about me. I understand your reasoning now, thanks.
10  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I need $220 worth of BTC (Bitstamp price) on: November 25, 2013, 04:51:50 AM
Doesn't Webslicer sell for Gox + 3%? Right now Gox is trading less than Bitstamp so you're arguing over pennies. More importantly Webslicer told me he couldn't trade today. Is he holding out on me? Webslicer please PM me when you are available to sell some BTC.

I've never traded with him before, so I will let you know how it goes. I expect I will probably be sending him money first.
11  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sell some Bitcoins Via Paypal on: November 25, 2013, 04:32:02 AM
Seems shady to me. Aren't chargebacks really scary this time?

Yeah but that's not whats going on here. He's selling BTC and asking for a paypal payment. The only problem is that he's asking for the money first. Then saying things like "I never send first". When he has about 10 posts and no confirmed transactions. He's never sent anything as far as we know.

I suppose I could always charge back if I don't get the coins, but that's more effort than I willing to go through. Bottom line this screams scam to me.
12  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sell some Bitcoins Via Paypal on: November 25, 2013, 04:23:14 AM
Sounds like a scam to me too.

There's been a lot of people recently coming on the forums wanting to pay with PayPal or accept PayPal. I don't think even one has been legitimate.

I am sure this guy is going to get an endorsement from another junior with 5 posts. I guess we will have to wait and see. I would suggest to everyone to stay away though.

I bought off of Monbux with Paypal today and all went well. This week was the first time buying BTC without going through an exchange, had not really been aware of the chargeback issues until trying to purchase some coins which obviously turned out to be difficult. It only illustrates why BTC is so important as a payment method, it offers a way to receive money without risk of charge back. I can't wait until I am free of fiat...
13  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sell some Bitcoins Via Paypal on: November 25, 2013, 04:13:04 AM
I think this guy is a scammer. I sent him a PM and he responded to me saying

Quote
i never send first , i like 50% Money 100% BTC and later 50% money , ONLY if u are verified .

im selling at 700$ ea i have 4.49"

Selling far below exchange rate, he's a junior member and he is expecting money first. Be cautious.

If anyone has successfully traded with this guy please say so.
14  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB BTC with Skrill/Verified Paypal on: November 25, 2013, 02:23:53 AM
Will offer 200$ USD if doing Skrill, or will offer 100$ USD/CAD if doing Paypal. Those are my limits for today, but I will do more later if all goes smooth. My Paypal is verified, and I've done two successful trades on this forum so far.

If you are junior or have no reputation you send first. For well known traders with reputation I will send first.

15  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sell some Bitcoins Via Paypal on: November 25, 2013, 02:05:40 AM
I will buy BTC via PayPal. I won't send first to a junior member either.

Monbux is trustworthy as well, dealt with him today.

16  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BUY OR SELL BITCOINS FOR PAYPAL HERE! MICRO TRANSACTIONS INCLUDED! on: November 24, 2013, 08:29:18 PM
I am interested in Buying BTC via Paypal.  Sent PM yesterday.

Sorry, I'm getting like 3 pages of PMs everyday, I PMed you back.

Thanks. This guy is real deal. Purchased 0.025BTC from him with no problems. I also just purchased another 0.03BTC again with no problems.

We are slowly escalating our transaction sizes to gain more mutual trust. I hope to do more business in the future.
17  Economy / Reputation / Re: Monbux's reputation thread on: November 24, 2013, 08:13:46 PM
Monbux is legit. Bought 0.025BTC to start to gain trust.

I will be purchasing more from him in the future and I will continue posting my experience with him here.

I am interested in Buying BTC via Paypal.  Sent PM yesterday.
19  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB BTC with Skrill on: November 24, 2013, 06:08:29 PM
Bump... I can pay Skrill/Paypal. We can discuss other Payment options as well but I cannot do MoneyPak because it is not available in Canada.
20  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB BTC with Skrill on: November 24, 2013, 02:19:54 AM
bump

Come on guys don't pm and ask for me to send first with no reputation... If you have senior members calling you a scammer, and only juniors giving you good feedback that counts as no reputation.
