From what I understand you have to mine altcoins that use only the SHA256 algortim.

Generally, if you cool better your ASIC it will get less Hardware Errors.
For altcoins you may mine simultaneously Bitcoin and Namecoin under BTCGuild just to mention an example.

Basically you need to configure your local altcoin.conf file.
In Ubuntu it is under .altcoin/altcoin.conf

In the console shell write this:

change altcoin for dogecoin for example if you pretend to mine DOGEcoin

Hmm good question, if I mine now I get blocks every hour or so, if I mine later will I find one in a day? how do I calculate the amount of QE? will it be worth it to mine when so many coins are already on the market place?
