1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins dominance over Real Estate in terms of profitability on: Today at 08:41:27 PM
Yes BTc can offer you some more benefits in terms of profit that Real estate but I think you have missed the most important aspect of real estate that's risk free invwsem.
I disagree about real estate being a risk-free investment.

The location of your property could very well be a risk on its own. Whatever happens around your property is a risk. Geological and environmental factors are risks that could affect how your property will sell. Lastly, political and economic issues could very much affect how the market will be.
Real estate is often thought to be risk-free because it is by far the mot common investment that people all over the world actually do, since we all need a place to live, and since in the minds of people everyone is investing in real estate they think of it as a risk-free choice, which is not correct, as real estate is an investment with a low risk and predictable growth, but it still entails risk, and someone that does not understand this may repeat the same mistakes many other people made during the 2008 crisis.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find and hold in Atlcoin effectively? on: Today at 07:23:34 PM

The major work here should be finding them and nor even holding.

Certainly, the key is to find such coins that can transform your fortune if you hold them during the period when they are in development stage and building  real life utility of their products. I think such gems can likely be found in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Social DEFI and Real World Assets (RWA). I believe that these sectors hold the potential to be the driving narrative of cryptocurrencies market in the near future.
Unfortunately scammers also know this information and they are going to release most of their coins on those fields, hoping to scam as many people as possible, and the worst part is that they will succeed as many people will be unable to tell apart good projects from the bad ones, so I really think that once the price of bitcoin begins to grow up at an accelerated rate, the number of scams we see on this market will go through the roof.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: Today at 06:44:09 PM
Society really tends to label gamblers without hesitation, although I suspect that a huge percentage of gambling is occupied by those who play really rarely, not systematically. I witnessed discussions even here on the forum, when one of the guys wrote that he was constantly addicted to betting, and they started writing to him that he was most likely addicted. Of course it bothered him, but I don't think he has a problem with the game.
About me: sometimes I play blackjack, poker, slots, roulette... but the funny thing is that if someone sees me at this moment, then this person will think that I am a ludomaniac who is about to lose everything.
People have very strong stereotypes, and often society tends to simplify everything without really understanding the essence of things.
Even if it is true that society labels really quickly people from behaviors that are not fully approved by it, at the same time, if a person is gambling constantly to the detriment of his family and his other goals, then it is clear that person is addicted to gambling, regardless of whether they admit it or not, and since most of those gamblers live in denial about their condition, it is not surprising society labels other people that may be otherwise sporadic gamblers as addicted as well, since they deny the accusations this is the case as well.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: Today at 05:31:11 PM
We are gambling everyday, losing everyday, crying everyday, and regretting our actions everyday but the problem and the question is,can we stop gambling?
Can we do without gambling for a day? Most persons will fall sick if they are asked to stop it because they've gotten so addicted to the stuff that if you tell them to stop, they will keep malice with you,or probably have issues with you for telling them to quit gambling. The logo is quitters never win and winners never quit. This is what they keep on telling themselves to give encouragement to themselves
They know, and we know that this is our weakness, this is what brings us down and makes us lose money, but we just can't stop..
Only until recently we are understanding more clearly how addiction works, and now we know it is a chronic disease which will keep reappearing during the life of a person even if they have stayed away from their addiction for decades, and that is the best case scenario, with most people struggling to improve and failing over and over again, until the day comes they conclude it is impossible for them to overcome their addiction and they give up completely to it.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino/gambling center near an institution of learning? on: Today at 04:42:57 PM
Do you think having a casino or any gambling center close to an institution of learning, will influence the students somehow or should I say be a positive or negative reinforcement on them, in anyway?

Thoughts?
It is obvious that casinos must be kept away from schools, and in the case this is not happening, either the local government is at fault by not enforcing such law, or the casino is an illegal one and it lacks the permissions to operate, and in that case the government must close that casino as soon as possible, because even if I am in favor of gambling, casinos should not be as readily available to young people, especially when they are supposed to be learning at the time.
6  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Como lo haces Ddmr? (Turbo Meritos) on: June 11, 2024, 08:49:07 PM

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $26,000 to invest, any suggestions? on: June 11, 2024, 08:15:44 PM
OP does hold good coins and also has the potential to increase many folds in the next few years, just like bitcoin, eth and solana. If I become OP then I will sell everything when the price really goes up and wait until the price goes down again, then buy it again at a low price

but holding meme tokens is currently quite important, it is useful as a speculative asset and I have several meme tokens which I use as investment assets
Holding meme coins is a terrible strategy, if someone wants to put their money in those coins then they need to do so only for the short term, and they need to be willing to sell them if there seems to be some problems with that coin, as one of the most common mistakes we see investors making is to hold their coins for a period of time that is too long, and while you can recover from such a mistake if we are talking about a good asset, this is almost impossible to do when it comes to a meme coin.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: June 11, 2024, 07:28:04 PM
The Real Madrid team has been strong since Pati but this season Mbappe has become even stronger due to the addition of Mbappe to the Real Madrid team.  And this season will always be top and i can say manchester city can take second place and real madrid is likely to take first place. There will be a huge fight in the points table.
Mbappe just had a 5 years contract with Real Madrid, and he hasn't featured in any of the Real Madrid matches(Champions League or Laliga). To that, We don't know how his performance with Real Madrid will look like "good or bad" but we just hope it will be a fantastic one that keeps Real Madrid more formidable as they already are to lift the Laliga and Champions League trophy once again in the upcoming season
There is no way that his performance is going to be anything but spectacular as long as he can remain healthy, in my opinion he is the best soccer player today and he will be surrounded of the best players around the world too, if anything this is a move that could create a dominance that we have not seen in a long time and it could create a historical run for Real Madrid, which is why I cannot believe other teams did not do the best they could to avoid this transference to happen at all.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: June 11, 2024, 06:49:04 PM
I think as long as there is a legal way to make money, others will not care about how much they are hurting anyone, so we are going to keep seeing more and more people attack gambling addicts to take all their money. They do not care about any moral reasons, why would they, ethics and morals do not play a role in business and that's a sad thing but a reality. Look at smoking companies and medicine companies, one makes you sick and die, the other could cure you but charge you 100x more than what it costs to make it, and they are all fine.

This means that as long as it's legal to do something then companies will always do it and targeting weak hands is one, addicts will lose all they have and companies will just be happy with their profits.
Companies today try to make it seem as if they stand behind some of the big issues society is facing, but the truth is that the people behind it do not care as they are just selling an image to the public, it is because of this that we need to do what we can to take care of ourselves to the best of our ability, so we must avoid becoming addicted to anything, because taking into account how readily available the source of your addiction could be, I would say that it has never been harder to leave an addiction behind.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin not coin memecoin on: June 11, 2024, 06:16:50 PM
Hey genuis people how much did you lose

I already said btc may fuk everything up
But you made. Joke of me
You do not really lose anything unless you realize those losses by selling your coins, so for those invested in bitcoin this drop on the price is not significant enough to lift a finger, and they may actually use it to buy the dip and get even more, but it seems you are more interested in meme coins, and in that case such a negative movement can definitely affect you, especially since there are many people that are using leverage and such a drop could cause them to get a margin call.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid becoming the next victim on: June 10, 2024, 08:36:43 PM
We can choose to always avoid the next victim of scam if we are consistently following up with eh security tips and advise given on cryptocurrency, many are too lenient and looses as well concerning receiving offers from any promotional attempt, we cannot know it all and we must not also be too forward in going for less with the lack of caution on every cryptocurrency investment we are having ahead of us, we may want to make money but instead end up loosing it.
We must acknowledge that we cannot realistically get to know every single scam that exist and accept that scammers are probably smarter than us, but at the same time this realization will make it way harder to get scammed, as if we were to receive an unknown coin or NFT in one of the addresses we control, we can avoid becoming a victim simply by not making any attempt to claim those coins and ignore them completely, unfortunately many newbies do not know this and try to get advantage of their good fortune, and that is when they get scammed.

13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.GAME Sending emails with the title, ''Withdrawal Notification'' on: June 10, 2024, 07:32:39 PM
I guess it was a mistake. The email could have a title like lottery ticket instead.

More like a clickbait if you ask me. They knew people would click it if they saw withdrawal because they most likely did not order one, so seeing this immediately makes you think you're being hacked.
A title like this is going to make people click and read it carefully, and then realize it's just an ad.
I hate aggressive advertising like that. Makes me think the company is treating me like a brainless bag of money and think after being tricked like that I'm going to take part in their stupid lottery. On the contrary, dear BC staff. The way to deal with this is to withdraw all the money you have with them and block the email.

At this point in time we are still not sure if this is a legit email by bc.game or if this is some kind of phishing attempt, but whatever the case it is not a good thing so the OP must avoid clicking on any links contained on that email, as if this is a phishing attempt this could lead them to lose whatever money they have at that casino, but if it is confirmed this email did in fact originate from an official account, this is worrying as such marketing methods are without a doubt not something that a serious company should entertain doing.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Odds discussion) Would you still stick in your favorite casino if....? on: June 10, 2024, 05:48:45 PM
I participated in a discussion in an ANN thread for one of the sportsbooks listed on the forum, and I see that odds are very important. So, I came up with this question to ask the community: how important are the betting odds to you?

Let me name some of the old sportsbooks on the forum that I'm currently using:

1-Duelbits
2-Stake
3-Sportsbet

Just these three for the purpose of demonstration. So, you are constantly betting on sports, and you are using Duelbits as your regular one. You are betting a significant amount, like $1,000 for this demo. We have game 2 of the NBA Finals. The point spread is 7.5, and you choose to bet on the Dallas Mavericks.

For Duelbits, it's offering 1.85.
For Stake, it has 1.80.
For Sportsbet, it has 1.90.

Would you shift to the sportsbook with bigger odds or would you stay?
For your regular gambler it does not make much sense to switch between sportbooks, just because of a small difference between the odds offered in a particular match, so it is better to stick with what you know so you can avoid making unnecessary mistakes, but if we are talking about a professional sport bettor or at least someone trying to reach that goal, then they do not really have any option other than to do this in an effort to become profitable.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin specifically for holders.. on: June 10, 2024, 05:19:34 PM
Hey mates, how are y'all doing this good Friday? For memecoin enthusiasts, I just discovered this memecoin with the narrative of 'No more torture for holders' on the BNB chain called $HODL. Pretty good concept if you ask me. I also noticed the devs are the founders of Arbdoge, if you remember this meme from around 2023. So they may know what their doing lol.

As someone who's into memecoins, I think I'll keep an eye on this. Solid narrative, good community support, and CEX exposure too. Wanna ask though, what's that meme narrative that's got you intrigued?

Most people know that meme coins are very attractive to most people because, with only a small amount, you can earn a really big amount. It's like betting on the lottery; when the numbers you choose hit, you're an instant millionaire.

But the majority of meme coins will only put the capital that you use as an investment in jeopardy. That's why wisdom is needed here in choosing meme coins. Because almost all meme coins have no utility, even so, they differ from their partners and the communities they form when they become successful in the crypto space. So be careful when choosing and invest at your own risk.
But what kind of wisdom can be used when the results you can get are basically random? You make an apt comparison when you think of meme coins as making a bet and winning the lottery, as the only thing that matters when you invest in a meme coin is your luck, so if you were lucky enough to select the right coin, your results could be amazing, but if you fail to do so, which is the most likely outcome, then it will not be long until you lose all your capital invested there.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: June 09, 2024, 07:32:42 PM
No one wants to be addicted consciously but many gamblers are addicted. Recently I saw a friend of mine lose over 6 months of savings in betting within two days. He is so addicted that he considers gambling a part of his job. But unfortunately after losing that money he is behaving humanly unbalanced. When he shared his loss with me, I told him directly that he was addicted. But the interesting thing is that he does not admit that he is addicted. There are many gamblers who are addicted to gambling who do not even realize they are addicted. At some point they lose all their money due to addiction.
Most people do not want to admit they are addicted because that will mean that they have lost so much control over their lives they cannot deal with it anymore on their own, also this means accepting the responsibility of trying to get better, which is not easy at all, so denial is their answer, hoping that things will just improve somehow but as we know this will not happen, as they are just delaying the inevitable and they are just making their recovery harder with each passing day in which they do not admit to this.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exposure to bitcoin at young age on: June 09, 2024, 07:01:07 PM
I think it really depends on the individual. Some young people might be ready and responsible enough to handle exposure to Bitcoin and understand the risks and rewards. But for others, it could be overwhelming or lead to impulsive decisions. So, it's probably best to educate them about Bitcoin and financial literacy in general, but also emphasize the importance of patience and responsible investing.
Teaching the young about the economy early on is a good move, as the sooner they know about all the pitfalls they can fall to, the sooner they will take good decisions, however it is wrong to encourage young people to invest at such a young age on bitcoin, and this is because even if they had the right knowledge about this market, it is unlikely they could apply it as they should, which could create bad habits it will be very hard for them to get rid of to.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does addicted gamblers only lose money all the time on: June 09, 2024, 06:06:29 PM
What stimulates gambling addiction is from the winning which the gambler has been experiencing, this will give him the impression of gambling as a good source of income due to his continuous winning, maybe him having more win than loses. At the end, getting addicted will only make him increase his staking power which the sites must surely take profit as he loses then he will be left with no option than to chase his loses which means going extra extent to get money either by selling properties or loans. The reward at last is always dangerous, that is why it is best not to get addicted.
Over the years scientists have realized that the random nature of gambling not only helps casinos to protect themselves from skilled gamblers, but it has an effect on the rate at which a behavior is repeated, so if a person begins to gamble and they begin to think about the possibility of actually earning money in this way, there are high chances of becoming addicted, as they begin to repeat this behavior until it becomes second nature to them.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you help me to get out of this CRYPTO SCAM? 3,000$ for it. NOT JOKING! on: June 09, 2024, 05:01:12 PM
I tried to look at that thing at coinscan, and there are many alerts there. I'm sure that you've been fooled. Check this out:

I can't help you, but my advice is to forget it. It's an awful experience, but it will teach you to be more careful in the future.

Nobody can't, even if he doubles the amount of money, the honeypot trap is not something new, and it's a big trap for investors since it is a contract created by the scammers I hate to say this but many still fall to Honeypot scam because of greediness.

Op should charge this to experience and move on I hope you can get the amount you invested in your other investment portfolio and surely your thread is a big help to those newbies who are not fully aware of how scammers use this kind of method.
Once our coins leave our wallet there is no way to get them back, so whenever we make a transaction we need to be quite sure about what we are doing, otherwise things like this could happen to us, unfortunately the OP was not alert enough to avoid this scam, and while I can understand their desire to get their money back at any cost, the truth is that they may be exposing themselves to another scam, as I am sure there could be a few scammers sending them PMs claiming they can recover their money when this is not possible.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have you blacklisted? on: June 07, 2024, 10:56:32 PM
When there are thousands of altcoins, it is not possible that I can blacklist all of them because they are too many and most altcoins are shitcoins, just only few of them are good but they are highly volatile. Their volatility makes them very risky to invest in. And one thing I hate about the altcoins is that they are not getting to all-time high.
It is way easier to keep a whitelist instead since only a handful of coins will be included in it, with my list being very short as I only use bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin, now I understand some may think my list is very narrow, however even if there are other good projects out there, I do not really see the need to go out of my way to get those coins, when I can do whatever I want already with just those three coins, with most of my money invested in bitcoin as it is the best coin by far.
