Could BFL be using the the hashing power for a few months, then dump the hardware to the purchases when the mining difficulty goes up?

It would be quite obviously seen on the network.

It's good to have a cryptocurrency that is not bitcoin and cannot be merged-mined with bitcoin.

Litecoin offers quicker confirmation times, is a good hedge against bitcoin without having to buy fiat, and is allegedly ASIC-proof, so can be GPU mined, minimizing the possible centralization effect of ASICs. So litecoin could really prove to be the silver to bitcoin's gold. None of us are anticipating $100 litecoins any time soon. $1 or $2, maybe.

It's a good 'coin, methinks.

Agree, ASICS scare meh..

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts (new topics or replies).

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted. (The system automatically checks every 10 minutes and promotes people as appropriate.)

THank you for clarifying.
