1  Economy / Marketplace / www.coinslist.org - Local US listings for items and services accepting Bitcoin! on: February 21, 2014, 04:28:37 AM

The issue: bitcoin is still hard to purchase with cash and too expensive and risky for many people to invest heavily with their hard earned paycheck.

Coinslist gives anyone who wants to gain ownership of a cryptocoin the ability to do so by selling items or offering services. The option to deal locally is highlighted and encouraged, but the entire internet world can find and view your ad.

Coinslist is FULLY Search Engine Optimized (SEO) with google, bing and yahoo to ensure that your listings get the most possible hits.
Coinslist also offers a community section to allow coordination of meetings between bitcoin/cryptocurrency enthusiasts in your area!

If you have any expensive but dusty items sitting around that aren't used much anymore, why not sell them to a new friend you met on the internet for a few hundred thousand Dogecoin?

Put up some listings and make some spare cash! Offer some coding or language tutoring services in trade for bitcoin!
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why would you sell a mining rig to anybody? on: April 07, 2013, 06:22:08 PM
I think, or at least like to think, that not everyone in the world is unusually greedy. Now don't get me wrong everyone is tempted and driven by money, except maybe some buddhist monks, but if I had four ASIC's and was mining (assuming 240Gh/s) enough bitcoins to equate to $70k USD/month I think i would  be amenable in spreading the wealth to a worth person.

Above is why am an idealist and I am sure people are generally greedier than I assume. Especially with strangers.

But that said it makes zero business sense to sell an ASIC you are currently running, but it might make a modicum of ethical sense. The individual is the one who must decide.

Two Days left.

I have six lasers but I think bitcoins would be more exciting right now Smiley

The people who have stockpiled bitcoins and basically have cartloads of free money should ensure we have some lobbying forces in US congress and in European governments when the banks/fed begin to make moves.

That could be something. Or make an emailing app on the web that makes it easy to contact different online retailers such as newegg, amazon,t  tigerdirect, anything.com asking them to accept bitcoins as payment.

Cheers  Smiley
5  Economy / Goods / Klipsch Image One On-ear headphones on: April 04, 2013, 04:08:30 PM
For sale is a single set of Klipsch Image One headphones I purchased last year and have used on and off since then. Alongside a good on-ear seal the headphones have have a volume control +/- rocker and microphone for use with iphone and android (likely others as well) smartphones.

https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/23125-klipsch-image-one-headphones

I don't have the original case or accessories (accidentally left them on a train in Canada) but the headphones themselves are in excellent condition.

Selling because I just don't use them anymore, in great condition. Located in USA.  Cheesy

I have posted ads on craigslist where I say that I take bitcoins as payment but have had no successful transactions.

I just posted ads saying I was interested in buying/selling btc on the craigslist of my town so maybe there will be some newfounders in that way..  Roll Eyes
7  Economy / Goods / For Sale - Helium-Neon Gas Laser Lamp - 632.8nm 5mW on: April 04, 2013, 07:50:05 AM
Hi there fellow bitcoiners,

I put one of my favorite creations onto BitMit.net in an attempt to increase the diversity of things for sale online and in an attempt to support what I believe is a great tool for using bitcoins in an auction format.

I hope someone likes it.  Kiss

Hi there

I would like to have access to the main forum as I feel that I have already benefited from my interactions on the newbies forum.

I am developing a port to an unusual spartan6 pfga and would like to share whatever I can come up with,

Respectfully requesting access to the main forum beyond this newby neighborhood.

I am mining LTC with my AMD Phenom II X4 (BIOS unlocked cores 3 and 4) and getting ~30Khash/s

What hardware is worth getting currently to efficiently mine ltc? All my searching has shown a few buggy miners (cgminer) that use the gpus but still for only a few hundred Khash/s.. It crashes the drivers on my nvidia Sad

What is your opinion on the future of ltc? I believe the longterm strategy for handling the currency growth is better suited for current investment.

I sometimes ask if a shop takes bitcoins and very seldom does the person know what I am talking about. I think making the digital signature that is a bitcoin easier to transfer inter personally is the most important step. Physical impacts mind more than letters on a screen. A physical transfer of btc in perhaps cheap 128k flash drives that are nearly disposable with wallets containing any amount that could be purchased at kiosks/redbox's with some form of confirmation.

I can only imagine how many people who feel even worse than I do. Someone who had a few hundred bitcoins in a wallet and then wiped the OS thinking they were basically meaningless. Flash to now when that would be worth 30,000USD and that would be some real regret.

Im just pissed I never bought them at 0.13.

Hi! I am new to this forum but I have been following bitcoins for some time and am interested in investing in a group purchase of a single asic..

The early adopters will be the winners in the asic mining game.
